Minecraft shaders actually are really laggy when you put them on (a kind of resource pack that improves the graphics of all the blocks in the game+ a lot of entities in the game+ a base with a lot of farms in your base- even an i9 would not be able to handle it. An example of this would be Mumbo Jumbo, who recently bought a new PC with the RTX 2080 and an i9 processor, he would get around 250 fps outside his base, around 120 in his base, and when he put on shaders he sometimes got as low as 40 FPS. So yeah, it is reasonable to buy a gaming laptop to play Minecraft if you use shaders and have a crazy base with a lot of farms and entities.

I got this laptop, the sound is really good. has 2 tiny subwoofers underneath, and it sound loud / deep. The laptop doesnt run that hot only if u game is high settings for a long period of time, but nothing to worry about. my old msi laptop would reach 88 degrees. this one maybe 72 at max. about 45 when working in photoshop / illustrator. I'm not much of a benchmark guy. but it handles everything i throw at it in highest settings.

no its just because they didnt really test it. by default unplug means batter saving mode. if you set it back to high performance you sitll get max performance outta it on battery,.. just not very very long

I honestly have difficulty telling the difference between 720p and 1080p and I can't unless I actually try to look for a difference. Oftentimes my default resolution is set to 720p and I won't notice for hours. So while 1080p looks good on paper in real life the difference is negligible

Acer is nice... Own the 17x Predator one with the 32 Ram. Similar to the MSI laptop but the chip is different. The casings are very simlar and almost looks like the logo is just changed.

@@void9092 technically the MacBook is a just a TINY bit more expensive. But I'd still rather have the MacBook Pro than this laptop. This laptop has 2TB storage (1TB spinning drive + 1TB SSD). If you spec out a MacBook Pro with 32GB RAM, 2TB storage with an i9, it cost $4700. Lew said this computer was $4500 in the video, however the Amazon link shows it at $3,675 with a 1TB SSD+1TB HDD. (but it only has 16GB RAM, don't think the other 16GB adds $825 to the price)

I remember watching this vid in 2018 and drooling over this laptop...... Just bought mine bought for 900$ shipped off ebay in orginal box last week... Crazy how fast laptops depreciate....I mean it's 3 years old by now and there are faster thinner laptops with better performance but for the money it's still a beast...... Can game very well and also VR good sound nice keyboard build quality and fits my 3 nvme ssds......

@@ce9aftw713 It's just a dumb product IMO. Extremely expensive, understandably, but not balanced. It's a very powerful CPU released a couple of months ago paired with a power-inefficient GPU from over 2 years ago, matched with a small monitor with an unnecessarily high resolution. 1080p/144hz or 1440p/144hz would have made more sense, and a weaker CPU with a more powerful GPU would have made more sense as well.

As someone who used to lug around a full-tower 50+ pound case to friends' houses for LAN parties, let me just say: this is *VERY* portable. If you compare it to an ultrabook or tablet 2-in-1, of course it's cumbersome. But that's not what this is. This is a beefy gaming rig on wheels. And a damn sexy one at that.

My gaming setup is worth about $100. I'm rocking with my BSEL modded Intel Pentium E2160, vmodded ATI HD4670 and 19'' 1280x1024 monitor. I can play AAA games like The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion/Skyrim, The Witcher 2, Mass Effect 1/2/3, Dragon Age 1/2/3 and Fallout 3/NV/TTW. Too bad I can't play Fallout 4 or The Witcher 3, because my GPU doesn't support DX11 but I can watch ''Let's play'' videos and it's almost like playing the game. I have my studio tour and gaming setup video on my channel.

I love my MSI GT72 Titan laptop. Got it used for only $1500. It's an older model but still runs like a beast with Intel core I7, and 1070gtx NVIDIA graphics card. MSI is one of the best gaming laptops out there. Way better than the pos MacBook. Also has a built in fan. I use my XBox one controller via Bluetooth adapter with the laptop. It's dope af! I use it on my bed as well with the fan on obviously. lol

I think the 4K screen resolution is holding it back. That caps the refresh rate at 60Hz and you do better in FPS games with at least 100Hz. So just dropping resolution to 2560x1440 will allow you to run 120+Hz and that speeds up your response times in these games.

I got this beast 2 months ago. The 1080 p version which allows it to be 120hz. I9 gtx1080 32gb ram.gsync. It's perfect. It's bulky. But the performance is insane. The annoying part is double charger brick and it's heavy af. Right now I am playing overwatch on epic max settings with 120 FPS. I do live in a humid warm country and the temp goes up to 80-83 while playing. But then I switch on their cooler booster fan and boom it sounds like a jet engine and temp goes down to 75. This is only good if you don't have to move it too often. I enjoy the performance
