vr makes flying SO much easier. Especially helicopters or fixed wing formation flying. Turns out adding an entire dimension to a videogame increases your perception (crazy I know)

Managing the controls perfectly. Knowing when to drop collective and raise it is a big one, and flying in manual control let's me turn with the most agility.

The best Close Quarters Fighting Helicopters are LYNXs Cobras (My personal favorite and probably the most universal mid tier Helicopter) Hueys (May seem odd, but they have small critical components and a large chassis which makes it hard for novice tankers to shoot you down effectively.) Apaches Ka-29/50/52 If you want some Russian helis that have the best chance of doing stuff like this. The A129, but I haven't flown it Gazelle, haven'y flown that one either. Haven't flown the Tiger, but it couldn't be that bad.

Cannot rely help you with the question on which heli to use ( My best guess would be the UH 1B, but I dunno). So what setup are you planning on using? Been hoping to learn this, too.

Aight thanks, dont have the AH-1S(see thats one of the ones that dont vs missle spaa) but i have the AH-1F. Time to wreck havoc or crash immediately.

I'd start with the AH cobras and if you like close quarter flying then you can decide from there if you want the g lynx

It's a little different. Unlike the other videos, I am flying in manual control with a HOTAS and Pedals instead of with an Xbox controller and Autotrim :)

You can actually. This can be done with some RC controllers for UAVs with simulator cables. FlySky is the cheapest one probably, you just need a sim cable and 4 AA batteries for it.

Sim is dead. Matches only have like 6-8 people on the enemy team, and que times are long.

It's definitely worth it! If you use the G-LYNX, you can also make a butt ton of SL while having fun!

Yeah, the Helicopter grind is on par with naval grind in terms of how terrible it can be.

And any other tips would also be appreciated

1. All my hardware is in the Vid Description 2. Anything with a working cockpit sight and that can handle decently. 3. The best place to practice is Ground Arcade Assault.

I will explain all the key bindings and explain my philosophy behind my control scheme so that you can easily change the controls to what is best for ya'll. Odds are, most people won't have the same flight stick as me anyways, so most people will need to bind things themselves instead of using the control settings I will link in that video. I don't use a keyboard, so trying to set up a control scheme I never use doesn't really sound that right to me 😅, but I hope explaining what everything does in detail and sharing my advice will help everyone.

@@SimplyHero Hovering a helicopter is very difficult.

That's like asking what to do when someone throws a punch at you 😅 it really depends on the situation and the punch. You want to get as close as possible to the tank without them being able to shoot you. If you can't fly low enough or there is no cover to close the distance, climb really high (1km) where most small calibers lose all their potent energy. If the enemy has IFVs or 20mm autocanons, consider flying 1.5-2km high. If you do choose to fly high though, expect to be shot at A LOT. This isn't a bad thing though, as you are being a huge distraction for your friendlies, and the enemy tankers will soon realize that it is not worth trying to shoot you down. This is when you want to pick the most dangerous tank(s) to rocket dive on and use the speed you get from the dive to make a quick getaway or move onto another group of tanks. If you can fly low and fast, use as much cover as possible. Most maps are really open, but there is usually some place that you can give you an opening on top of some tankers. Also, try to go for tanks isolated from the enemy team where you could safely engage them without other tanks shooting at you. I hope this helps!
