David, sir, your ability to keep a straight face when doing interviews with these people is a rare gift.

David, I think that interview was extremely well handled by you. You didn't insult him or put him in a defensive position at any point, and that allowed him to speak freely and show himself and his beliefs to your viewers. People need to understand how crazy this ideology is, and allowing them to spell it out freely is the best way to illustrate it. Nicely done!

How this conversation doesn't immediately disqualify Mike Cargile from Congress is beyond me

Ask them "Do you think we need to go back to the 2016 Election where Trump won and do a full audit to make sure Trump didn't win by fraud?"

34 years ago I had an air conditioner installer…this guy’s doppleganger, preaching to me about some three headed monster that was going to destroy the world very soon. From memory the three were represented by the US, China and Russia. My reaction was very similar to David’s reaction to this guy. And here we are 34 years later. These people need professional help, not a seat in politics.

I think it’s a great public service to give these guys a chance to express their views. No real need to even counter such lunacy. The sad thing is that I think he does represent quite a significant section of todays Republican party/cult.

This reminds me of my conversations with kindergarteners when I was a teacher’s aid in college. They would say absurd things, and you could only follow along and pretend to be taken aback by how amazing the information was.

I was born in a foreign country. I am now a U.S. citizen and I am voter. When I go to vote, they verify that am a registered voter and am a U.S. citizen.

Having voted in California I can categorically state that his claim that they can't all for ID to register to vote that state is absolutely false. He might sincerely believe that to be the law in California, but it's not.

When I googled ' Do you have to show I.D. when you vote in California', it said, that you have to provide a state ID of some sort, ie; driver's license, SSN, passport, etc. when you register to vote. If you've previously registered, you do not have to show ID. However, to make sure you haven't voted in another precinct or state, for that matter, your signature must match what the state has on file for you. ( weather it was a signature on a driver's license, passport, etc.) The state can and will hold you to the obligation of proving who you are if their records, for example, address, or signature do not match what they have on record. At least this is what I read.

Should have asked him if the 2016 election should have been “audited”. You are a great interviewer, I don’t know how you held it together. 💪🏼💪🏼

Hi David I get so irritated when I hear one of arguments that “China” stuffed the Ballot boxes. I’m a direct mailer and printer for over 50 years and it’s a very simple test just by doing a random test of the paper and ink used on the ballots. First off the paper used in China will be different than the one we used here and also the ink. Now I don’t know if one or more printers were used but all printer pull Quality samples throughout the run and and can be verified through random sampling. It’s so simple but no one has brought it up. In the interview with the republican hopeful stated they have affidavits telling of mistreatment of the voting ballots. Show me the affidavits, I’ve heard that in several states but no one shows the affidavits and who fill them out. I’m so tired of all the lies and deceit. I’ve heard also that people (or China) stuffs the usps boxes that’s another bit of BS. I’m sure you know that to a coordinated mailbox stuffing is not only impossible but would be totally obvious. We have been using the federal mail system since the beginning of our country and never has there been anything the the right is trying to stuff down our throats.

You have to have ID to vote. I have worked in the polls and we don't let you vote without proper ID. So there's no way you can vote without ID.

I don't know why so many white people will talk about Black people using the N-word in songs, as slang for "male," etc., in a complaining way- as if this were merely a double-standard. There is and likely will always be disagreement among Black folks as to whether or not the word is being reclaimed or will be a slur no matter the context of it's use- but, as a white woman, I simply don't see that as my discussion to have. (Personally, I don't feel any need to use the word, so my not being "allowed" to use it doesn't bother me.)

"I don't know." = I don't want to implicate myself in any legal way, want to give myself plausible deniability, and yet want to wink knowingly and broadly to the wackos. Amazing, you point out about what is said about moving the goalposts in audits and the very next breath, with absolutely no self-awareness, moves the goalposts and is fine with it. Arizona does audits with every election. When I participated in an Arizona Audit was actually done in the Maricopa county Sheriff's facility, and when I participated it was when Maricopa county had literal millitary style tanks. It is under immense security when run by Maricopa county.
