The dialogue got better too! NPCs react to major events now and when I won the egg festival on a new save file, I talked to Abigail the next day. She gets bitter xD Another time I drank mayo infront of Willy and a text bubble popped up it was really funny xD I don't want to spoil it tho

One person to watch for at the Desert festival is Penny. She sells her unique furniture, which previously you would have to choose between after marrying her.

I found a cursed mannequin by killing a cursed skeleton head in the quarry mines

So you know the cave in the quarry where you get the golden scythe, if you kill a bunch of the skull enemies they have a chance to drop the cursed mannequin. (I killed all of them and got a cursed male mannequin.)

by the way, many of these are actually part of stardew valley's collab with terraria! for reference, terraria got a fair few new items and pets in their most recent update, from stardew valley, but stardew valley didn't get anything, because it was actually going in this update. this includes the ice rod, magic quiver, and the magic hair gel which i believe is based on rainbow hair dye. additionally, there may be some others that were based on terraria features: the basilisk paw, which bears a resemblance to terraria's bezoar, which is an ingredient in the ankh shield that functions exactly like the basilisk paw. the parrot egg might be related to terraria's pirate invasion, which includes a lucky coin item that gives you money when killing enemies (the invasion also involves a lot of parrots). i'm pretty sure there's more, but it's great to finally see the collab come full circle!

A trinket that prevents debuffs? It's ideal for the harder mine run. There won't be no need to bring ginger.

I'm very excited to see how the speed running community uses the new farm for their advantage! That's saving buying white and brown chickens, and setting up a coop! And I think the cave is a little clearer to get to. Plus! Getting 2 eggs every day is GREAT for money making

A new weather type that I've seen (And I don't know if there are any others) is the green rain. Was actually a pretty cool experience. I've just started a new run on the new farm map, and it's kind of nice starting with a couple chickens. I think the books are actually a really awesome addition. But I was thinking they'd loose most of their value once you're maxed. But seeing that little cave kind of changes that. Also, how long has the witches hat fallen from trees?

Omg the frogs are absolutely amazing

We still need to figure out all the new things that need to be shipped. I figured out most of it, but not the last thing. There is moss, the 4 new crops which you can only get the seeds from by either hoeing the new worm spots that look more green at the bottom, or by buying from the raccoon wife from odds and sods after you unlock her. Smoked fish, and mystic syrup from a mystic tree (which is from the foraging mastery lvl up) I just can’t figure out the last thing to ship. There is also 4 new things to fish up, a river jelly, cave jelly, and a sea jelly, all rare, and apparently a goby fish, no idea where to fish it up or what season but there is a new channel on the tv specifically for fish and it tells you when the fish are available its really cool. And you haven’t seen ginger island yet new things there too

Giving your horse a carrot gives it a 0.4+ move speed bonus for the entire day! (As per the wiki) It’s quite handy surprisingly, especially when paired with the horse book which permanently improves its speed

There is also a crab racer for the desert race. My first emily outfit was the entire mouse fit 😂

Both cursed mannequins types are obtained by the flying skulls that you can find in the quarry or floors in the mine that changed to a version of the quarry mine

On ginger island you can go to the volcano and on the left path there will be a joja parrot sitting on a pedestal. You can pay it around 1million gold (Depending on how many you already have) and it will find you all the golden walnuts overnight. After this i believe if you take quests from Mr Qi you will get letters in the mail from joja asking if you need help with them.

There are several Desert Festival racers. King Sting, the dark scorpion with a regal stride. Escar-go, the green shelled snail motoring his way around the track. Speed Rooster, the pink chicken that's never out of cluck. Then there is two missing from today's race. Shoebiscuit, a brown puppy in a mermaid shoe who knows what to do when the going gets ruff. And last but certainly not least, Cactus Crawler, a rock crab that swapped its shell for a cactus fruit.

I was playing the new update, on the new map! And for some reason when I went to the bottom right of the map, all the way at the bottom clearing debris, I broke a rock and got a Fashion Hat? This was before I even unlocked anything related to tailoring this was day 6

I found it on my 9 year file so people acting like it happened before I could see my farm go, "The F are you talking about? This has never happened. I was attacked by a truffle with a crab under it!"

I feel like the mannequin moving around is a Skyrim reference. There's a bug in Skyrim that causes the mannequins to sometimes randomly move around your house.

To find Cursed Maniquins, you need to fight the skulls in the quarry mine!
