Yes, I have this pencil. It is supposed to be used until you have sharpened it all the way to the green part. Do not sharpen the green part, for it is easy to break open and the seeds are very small. It would take weeks- maybe months to get it out of your floor or carpet. The green part also disintegrates when touching water, so do not attempt to stick it in water unless ready to have the seeds come out. You do not have to break the pencil off to have the plant grow, and the pencil is also actually helpful to keep the sage plant up. The pencil is used to support. The pencil varies in seeds, so you can buy all kinds of seeds in you pencil. The green part doesn't work as an eraser, so don't try that unless you want to break it open.
Great. First I needed to make children push up daisies for eternal life, and now I need to do that to merely plant a flower?! Inflation is maddening right now!
I had one of these once. They're really delicate. If all you do with your pencils is leave them on your desk and carefully pick them up and put them down when you need to use them, it's nice, but if you're like a normal person and want to bring it anywhere, get ready to be cleaning up wood shavings and seeds from inside your pencil case or bag.
My sixth grade teacher, who we were close to, invited us to her wedding and they gave us those pencils as souvenirs. Her wedding was magical and so is the reception.
I used to have these pencils but I was young so I didnt know how to use them, looking back it would've been a very cool thing to try and look forward to

Same! I'm also very clumsy and tend to spill stuff a lot. Can't finish pencils, lighters, or lip balm. That capsule is one cup of wine away from melting onto my desk. 😂
As someone with adhd, I just know that I would unintentionally chew on the capsule with seeds 🤡 But I love the idea, I really hope more people would get pencils like these! I just like that when you’re done with something, you can give it a second life
We used to sell them at the store I worked at. You can sharpen it all the way until near the end and it'll still say what the plant is so you can use it also as a kind of label stake. Just remember that some seeds tend to take better than others. It's mostly a cute novelty gift, but I like that it's at least one that tries to be multifunctional. And another reminder to NEVER PLANT MINT DIRECTLY IN YOUR GARDEN BEDS. DON'T DO IT. YOU CAN BURY A PLANTER IF YOU MUST, BUT KEEP THE MINT OUT OF THE GROUND! I always warned my customers about this, too. Mint is HIGHLY prolific and it reproduces through the ROOTS! We had some spearmint at my mom's old house that the previous owners had planted and it spread EVERYWHERE! It strangled other plants, it grew into the grass- we spent HOURS meticulously weeding it out of the garden and repotting some separate and it still came back everywhere! Even where I live now, same thing: the woman who lived here before me planted peppermint, which thankfully hadn't had a chance to spread nearly as much before I got it. I meticulously, weeded it out and put some in, an indoor planter last year and BAM! I found some more this year! It's useful, but it is also functionally a weed.

I've actually seen something pretty similar to this I think they're called sprout books, basically you read about a vegetable and then, when you're done, you put the book in the ground and it will grow into that vegetable
This is awesome! This reminds me of a similar set of handmade pens that were sold by high schoolers at a stall in a local environment awareness program. The pen bodies were made from old papers and had a mystery vegetable seed at the bottom, so everything except the ink tubes were biodegradable. We bought a set and after fully using them, removed the ink tubes, burried them in soil and watered the area regularly. We got veggies from those pens ❤
So back in April, i went to see a cricket ipl match (Mi vs Kkr) from their sponser's side. And they gave us a lot of Mi merchs (since i was on Mi's side and they won as well) and it does include one of these pencils. I haven't used it yet cuz it's so pretty, all the pencils are made of paper and even a diary and a stationary pouch with recycled cloth.
I just started using the colour pencils (they're also eco friendly paper pencils but not the sprouts one) and I'm hella excited to use the sprout pencil now, btw sorry this was kinda random lol

I got a whole lotta stuffs and it was really such a great experience. I was literally seated on the 2nd seat and i got to see Nita Ambani there she was just standing so close to me and we even made an eye contact. She smiled at me when I waved at her and she waved back and then walked away to where the other sponsers were. 😭 Ps. I didn't had to pay for anything. Ir was all paid by reliance.
I had these kinds of pens that had seeds in a capsule so that when the ink was finished, you could plant a it. It's really a wonderful idea, I recommend.
I know this pencil ✏ Once in my school a man I think he's from kashmir he came to our school and said that he came on an electric bike he travels all through india on that bike and he brought these pencils for all of us and the were for 40 rupees I managed to grow a little flower plant and it was really cute . The pencil was worth it and very affordable 👌
I had a few of those before and I didn’t know I was supposed to plant it and the end bit once broke and sort of leaked so we cut that it off and now there is a parted chopped of pencil in my home
