I saw the VC dunk contest in 2000 when I was just a wee lad. 15 years old at the time. That will always be my favorite, but as a lifelong NBA fan and huge connoisseur of the dunk, I must say that the Lavine/Gordon contest was probably the best dunk contest of all-time....to date. That was haymaker after haymaker. With the 2000 contest, it was just so unprecedented to see dunks like that. So ahead of its time.
Nope!!! only Gordon was the real winner. Lavines Dunks where fine but there was nothing very special about it. Gordons show was unbelievable outstanding. Simply a scandal (!) in NBA history that Gordon missed two times the title.
Curry's look away 3s are ultimate disrespect.. bro got Trae in the air from the LOGO, looked at Trae the whole time ball was in the air while Traes looking at the ball go in, Steph's runnin back to the other side... my god 🥶
We were lucky to get to witness the competitiveness of the stars of the league in the 90s and early 00s. Since Steph, LeBron and co became the face of the league the ASG (and actually most NBA seasons) have become boring as hell. Thanks to those few guys like Jimmy Butler and Kawhi who try to carry on the greatness of the past.
I dont know if most people realize it, but the best plays are when offense has to overcome good defense. Even in the all star game. We want to see creative risks get taken to get by or over the defense....not a wide open windmill from a 7 footer.
The fact that Aaron Gordon didn't win that dunk contest is a complete travesty. His insane dunks were just so much better than the short free throw dunks. LaVine is awesome no doubt, but that was Gordon's dunk contest.
@@aoihgadnlgago he did blocked kobe...but kobe got the last laugh..kobe sank clutch shots to beat lebron's team because lebron didnt sank his counter clutch shot
