1:00 that tap symbol means that it will do a cooldown before the boiling hot main wash water is drained out :) I'd say do a citric acid wash at 90 just to get the extra limescale out, however I'd definitely recommend taking the drum apart as I'm sure there are lots of limescale that are stuck there that won't come out in a wash, and also to check the state of the spider.

I have done a citric acid wash, I think there is still loads of scale in there.

I'd definitely recommend a citric acid wash for this machine, maybe another 90 with no detergent after just to flush all the loose limescale away and then take it apart. It would also be good to clean some of the insides while your there :)

When I had my Bosch wae it was as bad as this so what I did was put it on a spin cycle and what I did was i let it reach 1000 rpm and I put the washing machines drain hose into the draw and started to add water to it. It’s like a turbo drum clean it worked quite well for me. You can’t add too much or it will most likely back out of the draw

Owen, If you are going to do the door seal then clean it out, otherwise just use it and it will clean out slowly in your soft water area; cheers

I believe that the Tap Water symbol means that it uses the hot water at the temperature your water heater delivers. I would think selecting the other 90C setting, the machine would boost the temperature up to 90C using a heating element built into the washer. However, what I'm not sure about is the "e" below. If that means Eco, I'd say that I'm wrong.

What you can do it put it on a mainwash 90 with citric acid,then put the hose in the drawer after some water drained not all of the water but some of it untill it lests the machine to spin with it inside,after the citric acid has reached evry"Corner" let it sit ,then do a 90 wash again and repeat the process untill clean water comes out

Awesome results! - but yeah defo take it apart and manually get it out - just to make sure no more damage comes, plus u can see if the spider has any damage from rotting etc :)

I think I will try more acid first! I have ordered a new door seal so I will wait for that, might do new bearings too.

If you want to find out where the chugging sound is coming from. Take the belt off and put it on a spin. If there’s no chugging sounds it’s probably from bearings or spider

But if the motor hasnt got a load on it from the belt it might not make the same sound.

use 250 grams of citric acid and will dissolve all the lime scale cotton 90 long wash again and also get it in a video 😍

Citric acid will do the job but put the drain hose in the draw so as it’s emptying and spinning u will get a power wash so it will reach everywere corner of the drum and rubber

I don't know about there but over here there is a certain acid that you can buy to clean toilets any clogged up drains and it's very effective

Where’s Barry Scott when you need him 🤣 I’m sure he would love 💕 your washer. You probably deserve some product placement revenue 🥳 too... You probably should for the fun of it give the machine a drum transplant. I say if you can get it to an decent level of repair it will be part of your washing machine set up for many years to come.

I know this is a late comment. But you could of taken the seal and then soaked in a bucket have bleach with boiling hot water. I think you would have got a great result and possibly saved some money on a new seal?

Acid might have been better on the limescale than bleach
