That actually goes against the very concept of quality comedy. Childish clowning. Look at Bob Mortimer's stories and the suspence of whether they're true or not. Lee Mack HAS TO bring more true stories and well-written lies. The fact that everyone knows his stories are lies is just tiring and boring
@KackieJennedy and yet it still gets laughs from people who have clearly heard every story Lee has? We can see Rob and David howling over the nonsense stories because that's Lee's style
It's funny cos you can see he annoyed at the people who write the cards. While also trying to make it believable and then often he can't resist adding ridiculous bits on cos he can't help it. It's hilarious. That's quality light entertainment if ever I saw it.

@@silas34 The reality is that although he’s enthusiastic and somewhat quick witted , i just don’t find him funny enough often enough . And that manifests itself as him trying too hard and being desperate to be liked . A bit like Dara O’Brien 🤣
