While looking for the next hot TROLL level to play, I stumbled up something strange. Amazing TROLL creator jneen had two troll levels uploaded that looked the same, but one was in Japanese and the other was in English. Not only that, but the clear rates and world records were vastly different. Are they different levels or is this just a giant conspiracy?!

thanks for playing my level(s) DGR! you are right, the only difference is that all the hints are written in japanese in the version you played, so you weren't able to read them lmao i think the reason it had a lower clear rate is english speakers trying to do exactly this... >

I love these episodes where Dave refuses hints cuz he's smart and independent and then struggles with a simple concept like holding a shell through a door or jumping before you throw something for a quarter of a video. "It wasn't that obvious!" he says about the very first thing you'd logically think to do hahaha.... This is why I love him and Carl so much... XD

What happened was he hit the hidden block with the P-switch in the beginning. When he came back around he couldn't hit the block again. The block was visible and brown with no P-switch anymore. He needed to die to reset it.

I think the reason the english version wasn't the same at the end is because you ran through the whole thing without dying, so some states of the level were different. Chances are there WAS a way to beat it for the dev to do it all in one shot, but different somehow.
