tbf, survivor's are basically just reskins with the exacty same gameplay, comparing her to twins by saying even they have higher usage rate doesnt make sense. can you really say she's as neglected as twins, a character that has been in dire need of a rework due to an already janky as hell power that was even bugged for the end of 2022, bhvr not even bothering to pretend to give a shit by outright saying the fix would come january?
I like watching people lose their shit in the pre-game chat or on twitch over the nearly p70 Quentin named “Quentin’s C*msl*t” they’ve just loaded in with. It’s the best.

Maybe more people would be willing to use her perks if they got less of a drawback to them? For example , maybe instead of Haddie losing her generator buff after losing one health state, she only loses the buff if she gets downed or hooked?
I still use her perks They aren’t strong but still work I pair inner focus with alert I pair RM with boil over And I just bring overzealous just to bring it, it comes in handy somewhere
Residual Manifest is actually super impactful on killers when you go out of your way to combat them and keep them consistently blinded, which feels like an awesome way of fighting back against the killer like a Monster Hunter, in my opinion.
As far as perks go I really like Residual Manifest and Inner Focus. Causing the Blindness status effect on Killers is funny, and Overzealous fits nicely into a build using Inner Healing. But cleansing totems is a bad idea with boons in the game, Residual Manifest is only useful if you bring a flashlight (or Blast Mine, and admittedly Residual + Blast Mine is freaking hilarious.) And Inner Focus is so comedically bad I don't know who'd ever use it. The perk's truly bottom 5 potential alongside the likes of No Mither, Up The Ante, and Buckle Up.

A character who can sense paranormal activity could have had a perk that gives you some sort of info or buffs when playing against a stealth killer. Off the top of my head if the killer is in stealth in a 20 meter radius from u you get a token/notification/boost or smth else. Or a perk that activates when you interact with a killer power exp. You get a token when u disarm a trap and makes you immune to killer powers once (might be broken but this is literally what i tought of in a second as an example of perks id like to see her have)
I’ve never seen a single haddie player 💀 When I did my 1000 game analysis she never popped up. I got multiple JOHNATHANS before ever seeing her. Seems like they neglect her because no one plays her imo.
kk 14 minutes in and I have to ask.... You say Haddie is the only original survivor with magic powers. But Mikaela IS an original character! And she's a literal witch! Also, as someone that loves to run Inner Healing, I love running Overzelous. It's a good combo for me. Inner Focus, I won't deny that I forgot about and never used until recently. I started running this 2 days ago and it's actually helpful for me. It also makes me wonder if it'd be a good combo to run with one of Vittorio's perks, Quick Gambit. It may not seem like it, but with Inner Focus, you can see that they're looping around you, which lets you know that Quick Gambit would be active. Idk, just a thought on that one.
I think we should have a haddie cosmetic in like a men in black inspired suit retrofitted with like a equipment belt across her chest, that would be so much cooler
A cool thing they could have done for her was giving her perks that could be considered OFFENSIVE. Give her a perk that when you stun a Killer they can't use their power, or one that made you see the KILLER'S scratch marks, so you can tell where they're going or heading to
I do have a build that uses inner focus. I do like the information the perk gives, although the scratch marks of the other survivors isnt necessary but still.
As a gen junkie, I actually like to use Haddie a lot. For each survivor I have, I try to make a build off of at least ONE of their original perks. For Haddie I use her Overzealous perk, thus her other perks are Small Game, Inner Healing, and an exhaustion perk of choice. That way I can make more use out of totems. And it prompts me to still get in chase even though I'll lose Overzealous once I'm hit, since I can heal quickly with Inner Healing and find another totem in no time with Small Game. But the build is almost to centered with not much variety to pick up slack; I'm really not great in chase. Still... focusing on gens isn't a bad thing as long as at LEAST one survivor is on one at all times. I play her a lot because I feel this build works best for my playstyle. At the same time, I'm hesitant to main her, because I love customization so much. She just doesn't get much at all, like stated in the video. I feel like I've been dancing around her because of the cosmetics and overall looks of her character. I totally agree that her default outfit could've used more flair. I do actually quite like her default still, but I'd have preferred it as an alt rather than her main.
Complain about her perks all you want but I get a lost of use out of Residual Manifest. Being able to deny any aura reading for 30 seconds after a blast mine kick can help out a lot. Depending on the situation it can keep them from making use of Nowhere to Hide which is growing in popularity, and if you screw up a flashlight save at the very least the killer cant see hooks
I use overzealous sometimes, when I play with Friends that use prove thy self. My brain tells me they should stack although I'm not 100% sure they do. But hey it feels faster xD
It feels like Vittorio was them trying to remake Haddie's character (a person whose lore could start connecting all the previous characters together into one story) but more "conventionally attractive". She'll probably never really get her time in the spotlight now that there's a character who serves her role better and more appealing to a wider demographic which sucks.
Okay asking me a name for a perk out of the 200+ perks the particular one sharing a very simular design with many others but ik just by looking at it that tithe "shows me killer aura and team mates scratch marks" and imo that alone should make it a bigger meta perk than what it is now simply due to the info provided by the perk. I use inner focus for a lot of my aura reading or information builds
What's also strange is that in the promotional videos , images and her trailer they gave her white hair. So why suddenly did they change it to blue? Plus she can travel to different time periods. So not giving her cosmetics where she travelled to these time periods is just wrong.
Shame cuz shes my 2nd main. Jeffs my first but hes got a metal theme going on. I really liked her scars, resting b* face and the amazon, anniversary and bloody cosmetics so she bacame a main. A niche build for inner focus is when its paired with adas healing perk or a full killer aura reading build. I use them often. But i agree. And i feel her perks need a complete remake and needs a whole lot of cosmetics to make up the difference. But sadly itll never happen. Hope for the best, expect the worse
I feel Haddie was their attempt to win over the indian audience. Just like how Spirit was so popular in Japan that they spawned a sequel chapter and we got another Yamaoka in Oni. Same with Yun Jin and Trickster where they wanted to dip in and try and get a korean audience. India is massive and if they won over people there, there'd be plenty of people buying and playing dbd. But because they didnt do research(as that person in twitter comments in the video said) they botched it, on top of her not looking conventionally attractive. I do have to agree with you on Trickster. Compared to others, he's weak. But yes, he's hot. I main him. I also find his lore compelling as well and probably as one of the best. I feel for Haddie and I think Inner Focus is my kind of perk. I just... have bigger priorities for shards. She has to wait

You forgot that Haddie's wet suit skin is summer themed. When summer rolls around it's likely going to be marked as a limited time only skin. So then all she may have left is her recolors in the store unless she does actually get another skin too.
I can't believe you showed a Brawl Stars animation in the video lol. I'm not used to people acknowledging my favorite game. I agree that it seems Meg is that character no one likes too much; although, she is really cool to me.
Honestly I really liked Haddie on release. I played with her quite a bit and got the anniversary outfit for her during the event but after that I haven't been picking her as often. She is however my second highest prestiged survivor next to Dwight. I hate how much the devs have neglected her. She really need more outfits
Probably doesn't help that her description makes her seem like somebody's self insert character as well. As somebody who knew nothing about her lore when she came out, I saw the weird design, weird blue hair streak, read "brave and determined podcaster" and just thought "ahh. One of the devs' self insert OC."
it sucks cause i want to play her for the sick scars, piercings, hair, and unique body-shape but ALL of her outfits are ugly. the anniversary one is cool but unavailable.. guess im stuck with meg still btw still pissed her hair is blue and not silver like in the chapter art
It's funny too, because I actually see Haddie semi regularly. It wouldn't surprise me if more people would play her if her base skin wasn't so ugly, or if she had cosmetics at all. It's true about her perks as well. Great video
Sometimes the community massively over-analyses things - like I'm pretty sure Haddie's hair streak isn't connected to the blue "deep rift" recolours. She just dyed it. I actually really like her default skin, but it's an absolute crime that she doesn't get more outfits.
She’s supposed to have poliosis (a condition where a loc of hair turns white from stress). Her lore specifically mentions that her hair turned white from stress. I don’t think she dyed it blue, I think the devs just colored it weirdly.

Bro your wrong about the perks. I dont rember the name of this one off the top of my head but I know that after you blind the killer they lose the ability to see auras for 30 seconds. You might think that only applies to flashlights, but it doesnt. The perk has synergy with blastmin and flashbang. I went up against a team useing these 3 perks and I couldn't even win. They escaped because I couldn't find generators or hooks with how many times they blinded me. They weren't really good or anything. It's just a meme build that's really strong. I could catch them and they would drop a flashbang as they went down, blinding me and preventing me from hooking them. I also tried the build out by myself and it's really funny. Seeing the killer not know what they should be looking for. Not know where the gens are and looking in the wrong places. It's funny.
I had an idea for Haddie's perks Overzealous= instead of 8% gen speed how about 20% gen speed, the effect will also go away when a gen is complete (it will require you to cleanse a totem and the effect will double if the totem was a hex, you will still lose the effect when you get hit) Residual Manifest= gives the killer blindness for 30 seconds, but when you rescue a teammate with a flashlight the effect will double (you will still get the free flashlight when rummaging a chest) Inner Focus= I can't think of anything :( I know these numbers sound op and I think they are I just see Haddie as an op survivor due to her lore
Inner Focus is good imo. It just requires a different playstyle. Not one of looping but information and stealth. Its more of a Blendette type playstyle, seeing if your teammates left scratchmarks where you at. And seeing where the killer is
25% is way too much. A better change would be to give a permanent 8% buff to all action speeds that include repairing a gen, and opening exit gates when cleansing a dull totem. If you cleanse a hex totem you get a 16% buff to action speeds that include, Sabotaging, pallet dropping, unhooking, and cleansing/Blessing totems. If you are the obsession, you get an additional 2% speed action bonus when activating this perk. For residual manifest, your idea is good but 100 seconds of blindness is too good so I would would just make the default blind give 30 seconds of blindness but if you rescue a teammate, the killer is blind for 50 seconds also, when rummaging you get a guaranteed rare flashlight. For inner focus, the value of seeing teammates scratch marks is incredibly trivial so I would rework it to allow you to see the scratch marks of killers which linger for 10 seconds but will only linger for 3 seconds and be sporadic if the killer is undetectable. Also when a survivor loses a health state, the aura of the killer is revealed to you for 5 seconds but if a survivor is downed, the aura of both the killer and survivors in the trial are revealed to you for 5 seconds.
Um...excuse me I play as her several times and I even use Overzealous perk it's still a useful perk, you can say whatever you want, I just like playing as her.
Haddie should be able to see scratch marks of the killer. She should also have a perk for increased battery life for flash lights or something. I feel her perks need a full rework.
Haddie and yoichi have been wasted, considering the potential for cosmetics they don’t get anything… instead feng gets a twitch prime skin, a new event skin in the space of a week
A twitch prime skin, an event skin, and two outfits in the current rift (granted, one of them is a recolor, but still). Either nobody at BHVR managed to notice that Feng is getting ten thousand skins in five seconds, or they literally don't care that other characters' cosmetic options have been bone dry for months. Knowing BHVR, it can go either way.

I feel like Yoichi got the shorter end of the stick. He looks like a banana and being licensed all his outfits cost money. And his perks are definitely not as good as Haddie's. Boon Dark Theory sucks. Parental Guidance in theory is a good perk on paper, but it seldom actually works even in the most ideal conditions, due to the nerf it received after the ptb. I know some people like the perk, but I think its overrated. I do quite like Empathic Connection. Great info perk, but not always practical when playing with randoms and the healing on it is just too low (should be 20% not 10%). Hopefully they'll give his perks some minor adjustments in the future and he'd be a great character.
@Luker head Ive run it with Smashing ground, Lightweight, and Distortion before. Got a perfect pallet smash, jetted away and the killer is still right on me. It can work, but I don't find it all that reliable. I prefer Self Preservation, but even that perk could use a slight buff on its activation range, 16 to 24 meters would be perfect IMO.
Vittorio is white. and so are all the other usual suspects who get cosmetics up the fucking ass. (excluding Feng) but she's Asian and we all know people are gonna want to play as them by default with the white characters. racist and biased community. Not more than two weeks ago I pitched an idea for a perk to my friends: A perk that allows you to see other survivors' scratch marks. One of them looked at me weirdly and pulled up Inner Focus' article on the wiki... I literally forgot Inner Focus' *effect* existed
Sadly, such a perk just doesn't have the same utility. Why take Inner Focus when you can take Bond, Empathy, or any other aura perk? I'd prefer if Inner Focus would distort scratch marks within a certain radius of yourself. Helping other survivors escape and draw the attention your way?
Because of its aura reading potential? Even then I agree it’s not great. Although Overzealous can be extremely powerful, and Residual Manifest can be strong considering how much all players rely on general aura reading.
Haddie has been given 3 unique cosmetics since release, one of which being an Amazon Prime exclusive. Vittorio was given a whole-ass tome for himself and his killer. They didn't even give Haddie any green-tier cosmetics upon release... I'm not saying there's favoritism up at BHVR's headquarters, but something is DEFINITELY not adding up here.

Lithe, the one that doesnt make a gen explode is good for noobs and Alert is ok I guess. She's beginner friendly. And it made her be played and then the skins made her sell like hotcakes
@@FinestFantasyVI I respect your opinion, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some find Feng attractive, some don't, but there's an overwhelming majority of those who find her attractive, hence, she gets four skins every month. I don't think that's a good thing, but money talks.
I like Haddie but as u mentioned, she has lack of skins and thats pushing me to play another survivors. I hope she will get gorgeous skins like some others.

If there is something I regret in my play in DBD, then it definitely is that when we could gain skins to her in one event I didn't gain her full skin set, now I have her head(with mask) and torso but not legs, and because of this I won't play as this character, because I don't like her original skin. Now I can only have hope that this skin will appear in the shop, or she will gain another skin that I will like.
I am very disappointed that in a game that features literal monsters, people will reject a character because they consider them 'ugly'.... Even more so because I genuinely cannot understand what makes some perceive her as ugly. She's badass! Scars and a lot of character, in addition to a pretty unique style - it's just that she has no decent cosmetics to shake things up.
Honestly i just really dislike her outfits. The rest is kinda meh to me. As someone else wrote in the commentsection, if they went for a bit older look like a woman towards her 50s it would be a bit more cool imo. Personally she was a miss for me too. But hey im also just waiting for a character like Elise from the Insidious franchise instead of all the young female survivors.
She should have gotten a Boon Perk, Potential Energy or a similar perk (these two are magical), and some sort of perk to hurt the killer like how Residual Manifest works (since she hunts monsters, it makes sense to harm the killers in some way).
Yeah, her perks were a let down. I think they had to suck though because you know killer mains complain about survivor perks unless they’re detrimental to survivors (like potential energy and that perk that’s kind of like bond but when you loop a killer near another survivor it gives them a slight boost to Gen progress). Idk. Even after the buff to her perks they’re still bad.
@@atmodlee I think she has great perks. Not a fan of residual manifest, which is probably ironically her only popular perk. Reason being it hurts goblin builds, instead of getting a ranger medkit or purple flashlight or rainbow map, you get a yellow flashlight? I think it should either be a green flashlight or random rarity, then I'd probably run it alot more often. Her other two perks are really good though, Inner Focus is especially good and I'm surprised it gets slept on as much as it does.

Even Residual Manifest stinks because you could just bring a flashlight with add-ons (better than the vanilla yellow flashlight you find in a chest) rather than wasting time to find a chest for a weak flashlight. And honestly using basic flashlights for anything other than saves is kinda silly because you don’t really blind the killer long enough to escape from them.
@@atmodlee I agree with you about Residual Manifest, if it was a green flashlight it would be awesome, but a yellow flashlight is just kind of yuck, especially if it wastes one of your actual rummages. Even the Blindness effect is very situational, maybe affecting about 1 in 3 killers. It is pretty fun with Ace in the Hole though as the add-ons usually make your flashlight pack a punch. And her other two perks are pretty good, especially Inner Focus.

I have Haddie at p79 I never see others play her which makes me sad. Shes extremely unique, and if the devs give Haddie more cosmetics that look extremely cool, rework her perks so they are more fitting, and give her a damn tomb that goes even deeper into her lore, I think she could possibly be the best made survivor if the devs give her more love, such potential cannot be wasted!!
That is true actually, I should have clarified more that Dredge has various addons (More than 4) directly related to another survivor and not to Dredge at all!
I'm glad you mentioned Sikh culture, (and pronounced it correctly too!) I was also talking about this when she came out. I have close friends who are Punjabi and Sikh, and I actually spent some time with them in Punjab and learned a lot about their culture. They're very serious about not cutting or altering their hair, so when I saw she has that short hair with a blue streak, I was really upset about it. Her last name Kaur implies that she is Sikh right off the bat. and it would go into her character to want to honor her parents by adhering to the customs they taught her. I have a feeling BHVR just didn't research Punjab or Sikh culture. I was very disappointed by her release, and I got ATTACKED on twitter for talking about it. So thank you for making this video.
I'm punjabi sikh too and Haddie has never represented it correctly. Having short blue hair is not common. I'm disappointed they didn't give her long black hair or make her look at LEAST a little like us. She looks like no punjabi I know
Weirdest part to me is her perks indicate to me, mechanically at least that she was pretty close to becoming a killer. Seeing scratch marks, the ability to inflict an effect back at the killer AND the hex perk seem more attached to the other team than the survivor side. Tho the perks as said aren't really fantastic
I don’t see that at all…. If anything her perks relate the fact that she has supernatural abilities and can use the realm of the entity to her advantage. Seeing scratch marks of fellow survivors allows her to keep track of her teammates, and she’s the only survivor who has a perk that allows you to inflict blindness on a killer but that ties back to her use of a flashlight being a “ghost hunter.” How does Overzealous come off as killer-like? Cleansing or blessing totems gives you a repair speed boost to generators. Nancy, like Haddie, has perks that allow you to see scratch marks (your own) or cleanse a totem to gain a benefit.
I love her so much, I'm just sad they failed her. Her lore isn't correct, her hair isn't white, she's ugly, no cosmetics, nothing they promised about her tomes and what they would do, it's just unfortunate. Edit: I didn't mean ugly like that, idk, her eyes scare me, her design is poor, I could've worded it lightly. But my point still stands. (Not the ugly part)
This!!! ^ I was so excited to get a White haired survivor, the opportunities for cool monochromes and possibly color inserts were so high! Instead we got this default strange blue. Which is okay I guess. But the tomes hyped her up so much that when she released it felt like a poor joke
I don't think ugly Is proper word choice. She just lacks in cosmetics. But thing about her is the community like characters who look a certain way. Plus her kits not very beginner friendly as opposed to others.
I agree with this comment except the part where she is ugly. Nea and Quentin were known as being the ugliest characters in the game and still more people nowadays play them than Haddie!
I hope the devs see the disappointment the community have with Haddies management and sort out a tome specifically for Haddie and the other forgotten survivors and killers. Zarina,Youchi,Quinten,Jake,Freddy, Deathslinger and the others I've also forgotten to remember 🤣
I do find it cool how Haddie has a white strand of hair (aka Poliosis). I relate a lot to her because I developed Poliosis due to stress as well. I also dealt with a lot of paranormal sht, domestic abuse, and stress growing up, so I always empathize with those who bear the white strand of hair because I cannot stop myself from thinking that they also had to go through hell at some point. Poliosis can be caused by going through extreme stress or trauma, genetics, or simply getting struck on the head by your sister's ice powers xD It might not be a disability, but if being a real survivor with PTSD had a mark, that'd be it.

You even get people claiming they're witches and wizards and can do magic spells which has been disproven to such an extent that if you claim that then you are clearly clinically insane. @Theorchero And I agree. Tho, what I experienced as a kid is something I've been studying for years. I've been seeing a shadow figure following me around since I was 4yrs old. I've gone with multiple specialists to explain my case. Some say it could be schizophrenia. Others think it is stress-induced hallucinations. But what they can't explain to me is how it began years before I went through the abuse. And now I'm 22, I'm far away from my father, I go to therapy, I haven't had a panic or anxiety attack for 4 years now, and yet I still see it. That damn "Hat Man". A few years ago, I was told my little cousin was also experiencing domestic abuse by his father. He was 5 when it started, his mother got a divorce, moved away, took him to therapy, and she told us that he began seeing a strange shadow figure of a man with a hat everywhere he went and that he would freeze in terror. At first, I didn't think it was possible that he'd be experiencing the same thing. That's when I began asking myself if this shadow figure was a demon or a ghost. Last year, one of my mother's old friends told us that her 17yr old son had committed suicide. Said that he'd been dealing with depression and PTSD for years because of his childhood abuse done by his father. She told us how he'd freak out at a "shadow man" that was "hunting him" ever since. She believes that's what killed him because of a video recording he left in his phone before he shot himself in the head, saying that "he" told him that it was time. That's when I began researching more in depth into this thing. I'm not trying to convince anyone that it's some sort of demon or a ghost. Demons and ghosts don't exist. I'm a man of science, a skeptic. I believe in logic, in concrete evidence, in numbers. I've been analyzing multiple cases with similar backgrounds and similar stories, and they all point towards the same thing. And not a single book out of the hundreads that I've read says anything about this collective hallucination. I can't explain it. Experts can't explain it to me. And I can't trust online sources because they all deem it as a demon. So, in a way, I do find it to be paranormal, but not in the usual sense of the word. I don't believe God is real, but I do believe this thing is real, just not in the way you may think. Also, don't act like you know better than me what I've been experiencing and studying for well over 15 years. I'm not doing this research for you, not for a youtube video, not for a ghost-hunting forum, I'm doing this for myself. So, you don't have to believe, but you don't have to be a condecending dick about it either.
Thank you for making this video. When she released, I was so hyped and excited for her, especially since BHVR has already mentioned her and gave her lore for a decent bit of time. Also how fucking awesome she sounded, like you mentioned as being brave and fighting against paranormal entities. And I love her visually; I was planning to main her, which I still do... but I haven't played her as much between her release and now because of her cosmetic situation. I really love and value mix and matching cosmetics on my favorite survivors. And I usually hate sets. I made sure to buy her set to show support (and I do love it though). She really is one of my favorite survivors. I really do appreciate you making this video, spreading awareness and showing how much potential the first like, 8 months of her being released was messed up by BHVR. I main Haddie. I fell in love with her lore all the way back in tome 6 and when I heard she was releasing in the game I was extremely excited. She just needs more cosmetic options!Please BHVR I beg!! 😭
@@TheLifeOfBhai no, conventionally attractive means having the same body type as Kate or Feng for example. Haddie def has a different body type like Jane, but not as memeable as Jane
I love haddie but, her perks are just so bad and boring, uninspired and all that, her base outfit isnt great either, I love how she looks but overall nothing about her perks, appearance or anything tells you about who she is
I’m very sad about how she’s been treated especially with her cosmetics, I couldn’t even get her rare outfits because you can’t get Amazon prime where I live Edit: fuck yeah we did it.
I honestly like Haddie, I've been maining her since she came out, I love her lore in the times and backstory. I also honestly like some of her stuff (I wish she had more though) and the way she looks and the new ideas and information about some of the things about the entity and realm, but then again I also play a lot of Jeff and Jonah so I guess I'm one of the weird ones 💀 (Also her hair looks white to me, I always thought it was lighting)
Wish she had White Hair, Monster hunting style outfits, she should have been a younger version of TOME Haddie. Also there should have been some Tome cutscenes featuring Haddie to build up hype like The Blight.
