Pre-patch Acidic Alien and Tanya were so broken lmao,especially acidic. Three unblockable projectile attacks and bam your health bar vanishes faster than I can say "damn he's good" lmao

Red Hood should definitely be on this list, the character can reach you from any distance, he has tools for any playstyle. He's basically a jack of all trades!

As a huge Lantern fan, I'm glad to see Hal and Atrocitus as part of this list. I hope we get Nekron, Larfleeze or Star Sapphire if we ever get around to Injustice 3

Bro Jacqui and Geras literally owned the competitive scene in the first few months of MK11’s lifecycle. I can at least watch Jacqui tho because I too mained her. But Geras got annoying way too fast. Because everywhere you looked it was always a Geras gauntlet.

Johnny Cage's peak was more that his 2nd and 3rd ones were basically 1:1 or close to being 1:1 with his meta custom options. Also his strings had buffs on them that were REALLY good and made his options either really safe or let him maintain offensive momentum. Yeah he had no mixups at all, but if he clipped a limb and hitconfirmed off it which is very easy since since he had some of the best hitconfirm options in MK11 he converted that into stellar damage. After some nerfs he still was good but with customs he had more options like getting a nice combo/string ender that also broke armour (Pissed Off), being able to pick only one arcing forceball or pick up sunglasses without being locked to his camera. His 2nd variation is still used for the comeback factor and many common customs usually put his Rising Star move to replace his meh Flippy Kick in non Show-Stopper builds.

HoneyBee was an absolute monster with the flash. I tried replicating his strategy and couldn’t even come close to his level. It gave me a complete new respect for that guy

I think geras would be more at the beginning of literally the best just due to the fact that those crushing blows along could kill you it was crazy

In MKX, Liu Kang, in his dragon's fire variation, is honestly the most broken of all time. He is flawless and has no loosing matchup. Great zoning, Insane wakeup, best plus frames in the game, 50-60% combos from anywhere in the screen, best pressure with the fire ball cancels. Best character of all time.

Shocked that Cetrion and The Joker from MK11 didn't make the list. These characters have been on the top of many top players lists for a long time and were both mad easy to win with and the joker in particular i'd argue was stronger then Jackie's maximum. Funny how it took him to be allowed to be violent to become a menace

Where's Deathstroke and Black Adam? I remember once they nerfed DS (and every IJ zoner thereafter) and "attempted" nerfing of Supes, Black Adam was EVERYWHERE, ...and Chris G's Green Arrow...

Nice tier list man, but I would add one more character in the tier list. I think that mkx Kitana was pretty OP. Especially in the end of the games cycle. I think that she is maybe better than Mileena in mkx.

Strongest characters were rhe original Shao Kahn. You could not block his hits, had invincibility in one of his moves. move that stunned ylu for 2 seconds and he could kill you in 4 hits. The other one is Shang Tsung. He could transform into any character.in the roster except bosses. You could combo with Shang Tsung, tranaform yourself into another charscter to extend the combo and donit again. If done properly the guy could take almost all your health in that.

I would say Kenshi is the best. Kenshi had a lot of stuff to his kit that even smoke couldn’t answer for. All the combos set up for perfect range, mega plus, armor combo extender in the corner, etc. he also wasn’t character hit box dependent like Kabal was. Then there’s Freddy and Cage who could be within top 3 on some lists

People complaining about Johnny in MK11 is absurd... He never had mixups since he had great highs, a slow low combo starter and one mid that cannot be hit confirmed, meaning hes pressure can be beaten by mashers... Outside of shades and the classic D2, he had NO VIABLE KBs, unlike the True top tiers that build them naturally by playing the game (with mids too)... People complaining about EX Fireballs (straight) or 124 leaving him at +6 at jump distance didn't realized all the following outs (making said complains Absurd): 1- If Johnny did B3, F3 or F4 inmediately, because those are 14f, 18f and 14f respectively ANY character your mash d1 to interrupt (8f gap) 2- If the opponent did not wanted to mash, ANY character could STEP BACK (not even back dash) and ALL of that immediate offense (B3, F3, F4) wiffs with ample time to react and punish... In regards to Arch balls, yes their initial version (once given the low arc) needed and was nerfed. The current/final versions are a mid ONLY on full screen since most (if not all) completely avoid them by crouching (even blocking) ok midscreen. "But wait, that is where Johnny wants to be at", see above how his "+ on Block pressure" was Fake when he had it and now really non-existing... His only thing that was powerful but match up specific was the smaller hurtbox that allowed him to avoid some attacks, but then again most female characters get the same benefit on him, thus making it fair... Johnny was never Top tier (I can give upper tier, but still requires skill because he had no mix ups nor mids to start pressure with), people just didn't knew the match up and only Top Players made the character Shine

The Most Overpowered Character would be the character select cursor. It's in literally every fighting game, it decides who fights who, and it tends to be responsible for characters getting banned, due to how much a character is picked BY the cursor. It's a near-literal Kingmaker.

This will be a hot take. In MK9 I would argue Kabul is worst then Cyrax. Cyrax's combos were bad but they took so much skill and practice to do that very few people could do them. Also with online Lag even if someone was good enough to do them the timing was tight enough that they could be unable to do it. Kabul was just broken just by being him.
