Honestly I really like the Hellas focus tree in base hoi4. The focuses have really cool names and the French and English help you against the Turks and you get to defend against the Italians. It’s really fun.

I see you're closing in to the Holy Roman Empire, and forming it is my favourite thing to do in HOI. You've probably already finished the video by now. If not, I have a few tips tricks on how to make your live easier. They should work even with historical foci off! (WARNING: Maginot line of text) - Option 1: My favourite approach is to research paratroopers early and justify on the Czech, still as NS-Germany. This will pull the French in, which can be paracapped immediately. Obviously make sure you already have a bunch of paratroopers by then, and the rest of the army on the necessary borders. Once they're done for, I usually take only what I need from France (Alsace-Lorraine and Savoy) + some other useful provinces (the ones that provide a land connection between Alsace and Savoy, like Franche-Comte and the ones below, as well as some resourceful African provinces). The rest I usually liberate to lower the world tension and not risk the world to turn on me (too early), especially since you will need Britain to like you. The result a balkanized France and an almost modern looking Africa. Even though it has good rubber, I release the Indochinese countries and that tiny bit of China, so I don't have to deal with Japan later. BUT: I keep France weak, but alive within reach, so that I can declare war on it later on. You need to do that to get to the focus with the war goal on Switzerland. Now, you can turn your attention towards the Czech. With a bit of help from your Paras, the Czechs should also cap pretty quickly. If you did everything right, you should be done with all that by February or March '37. - Option 2: Declare war early on the Benelux states (again, before the civil war). This is a good option if it's foreseeable that the UK will stay democratic, but can take a very long time to justify. Tip: Declare on the Dutch East Indies to save PP and time. Also, you can speed things up through naval invasions. But it's CRUCIAL to keep the Netherlands alive after capping them, e.g. in Surinam. After all, they have to deny the return of Wilhelm II for the rest to work! - Option 3: Order 66 Italy by getting military access from them and declaring war on Albania. This must be done as long as Albania still exists, of course, but does not necessarily need to happen before the civil war. - Option 4: I haven't tried it myself, but capping the UK early and making them your puppet AFTER the civil war. They will gladly accept everything you propose. - After the civil war, form a faction with Austria. Soon after, the referendum for the "friendly" Anschluss will fire, which you will of course gladly accept. Bingo bango bongo, free Austria. If the Hungarians intend to form Austria-Hungary, you will have to make haste. - IMPORTANT: Since you need to prevent the Hindenburg from exploding prematurely, you will have to start "Oppose H-man" by the 24th of February AT THE LATEST, so you can enact the air regulations decision before the Hindenburg event fires, which can happen as early as the 5th of May 1937. It will only become available to you after Oppose H-man and cost 50 PP, if I remember correctly. Luckily, the event can apparently not fire during the civil war, so you have time to save up.. If you don't manage to enact it in time, pray to Paradox that the rare Hindenburg Incident event fires naturally (the chances are 15%, I believe). If that happens however, you'll have all the time in the world to conquer the necessary parts by conventional means. - If you took option one, there's a high chance Romania will also declare war on you when attacking Czechoslovakia, and you might not finish them off as well before the civil war. Don't sweat it, you can actually use this to your advantage - once the civil war starts, Romania won't be at war with you, but NS-Germany! So if you want, you can actually call them for help by giving them military access, or at least use them to distract the other Germany if you already pushed into Romania a little earlier. - To make the civil war (ch)easier, I recommend deleting all your armies (and maybe airwings) AND division templates very shortly before the civil war, and create one template that only contains one cavalry unit. The other Germany will never create new templates, and will have to stick to that crappy one-horsy-boi and the Landsturm divisions. That template is also useful for garrisoning, so it's worth keeping. An even better(/worse) template is a single AT gun template, especially if you don't have AT in stock - almost no soft attack and pretty much no org. This one won't work for garrisons though, since arty doesn't have any suppression. Once the civil war fires, you can use your xp gained through the previous war(s) to make at least one decent template. If you chose option 1, the former Czechoslovakia will still belong to you. Since there are no troops on that border, NS-Germany will try grabbing that area first (the AI is not very smart), sometimes even leaving gaps in your frontline. (This is also a fifth option - grab Poland early, so that the other Germany gets greedy and leaves your frontline less defended. I'm not a big fan of that though since you need no Polish territory to form the HRE. It's a good strat for the Oppose H-man path in general, though.) - This is pretty obvious, but keep your construction efforts to the western parts of Germany, so not the Bavarian states, Franconia, Thuringia, Saxony, Brandenburg, and everything east of that. Also, wait for the economic foci until after the civil war, to not give NS-Germany any advantage. I also usually wait with any researches that improve my fighting strength (weapons, radio) until after the start of the civil war, for the same effect. - After the civil war, the decisions you need to take to get Vicky in power will cost about 300 PP in total (I think) and you need to take them while AT PEACE. So make sure to take them soon after the civil war. - Before doing Return of the Kaiser, remember deleting your entire army (as much it might hurt), so the Netherlands will 100% deny the return of Willy II. - If you're feeling confident, you can even try combinations of the options, if not even all AT ONCE! Especially option 2 goes well with the other ones, since being at war with a major nation massively reduces justification time, as long as your country is still brown on the inside. It will raise world tension pretty quickly, though, so be careful! All that is left (if you succeed with the other options) is Switzerland, and you can get the war goal on them through the focus.

As a greek i can give a minor info, golden dawn is the greek fascist party that got dissolved almost 3 years (if i remember correctly) ago, they did exist back in 39 but very minor (this info was given to me by grandma so take it with a pitch of sault they might have not existed)

Hey man I play this mod alot and I have to say if when you get the tree before you pick what empire you choose, you can do that small path that looks like a cult and when you reach Greek fire unit, yeah everyone even Germany is dead, they are gone after that fire unite you put in your division template.

I have played this mod extensively. I've done every route, not every combination because I'm not that level of insane (yet but soon I will do every combination for funsies) but yeah, in my opinion the most overpowered is monarchist because you can get some pretty good favor with turkey, if Germany went monarchy, you can get in an alliance with them, then you can also get the lower half of South America by annexing Argentina, Chile and like two others for an absurdive amount of manpower and at that point you focus on economy. Get to there then start fixing the broken economy. I do maintain the balance of power before that though, and I make sure I get to rebuild in Greece before I switch to economy. So the balance of power doesn't go negative and you can finish up The balance of power and you'll keep it there. I like doing that first because it drains some of your political power and paying back your debts drains ins your your political power at the benefit of gaining either military or civilian factories

Maybe is just me, but any focus tree with a non-core recruitable population ia basically broken, you may get mpre manpower from a population than the manpower you need to occupy it, like if get China and India, you get enough manpower to conquer the world, with the exception of military factories, wich can be solved quite well
