I totally did not steal this idea from anybody at all! My apologies for saying the frick word one too many times 🙇♂️ As always, thanks for watching :)
Honestly paradox dropped the ball on this mechanic. It could’ve been the most fun thing in the game but instead it’s just smashing your head against a brick wall. For what reason does Sierra Leone have to join the co prosperity sphere?
It's why playing as a minor can be so frustrating at times. You try to expand doing comparatively smaller wars. Then one of them joins the Allies, and now you're in total war against the entire commonwealth. Make's no sense why the Allies would go all the way to somewhere like South America for a small expansion war.
@@eleanorgreywolfe5142there needs to be a proximity mechanic or something to relationships. The uk is a massive empire that spans across the globe fighting 3 different major nations. They have no reason to divert troops and resources to help a minor fight another minor especially when neither of them are in a faction
i think the italians kept messing it up because they likely repeatedly put their troops out on boats to transport them to other parts of italy (despite just being able to walk) and so 80% of their army was probably caught by the other italys navy
When I was playing as Ethiopia and there was an Italian civil war, it went the same way where Mussolini won despite having almost no divs. I tagged over to the republicans and they just had like 30 divs stacked in one tile away from the front and they wouldn’t move them. It seems to be bugged for some reason
this video in a nutshelf: f+cking f+cking f+cking f+cking f+cking pain **cirles with mouse** **cirles with mouse** **cirles with mouse** **cirles with mouse**
5:00 Republican italy loses a lot because their ai is bugged for some reason and they randomly deathstack a province on the Swiss border(like literaly, i went in as ethiopia to help them and saw 30 divisions atritioning in the mountains there and 5 on the civil war border)
you can really see how insane the series made him over the episodes. In this episode he is cheery and happy and in the later episodes hes just exhausted kinda insane
Finally a Paradox youtuber with my playstyle. Just cheat, Fuck around and have fun. I usually have Toolpack ready to fix bordergore after peace conferences and just simulate wars between countries by giving each side divisions. I don't have to play for achievements anymore (I have all of them) so I just let the AI do its silly shit.
I tried Ethiopia 3 different times on ahistorical and each an Italian civil war broke MY focus tree. I dont remember how exactly anymore, only that I went from super excited to play the new expansion to never wanting to touch it again.
This is awesome, Ethiopia is really challenging. I’d like to see a Manchukuo run, I can do Ethiopia but for some reason I just can’t do Manchukuo. Good work and keep it up!
Wtf, that is such a good video and honestly refreshing idea because no one wants to do a to z formable nations. Honestly quality is a bit better than isorrowproduction, way to underrated.
25:25 you accepted the shipment of US guns which murdered your convoys + it takes a month for the lendlease to reach you so that's no guns and no convoys for a month
When you asked for the US for equipment, you redid the lend-lease request under 30 days after, so the timer reset and you got no equipment. You can hover over your nation's overview to see how much equipment an active lend-lease is sending and when the next shipment comes.
Such a funny shit show of a run. Loved your commentary. Really felt like you were just another average HOI 4 enjoyer like me. Definitely could relate to just not know what the fuck is going on. Definitely earned a sub from me! Also how the fuck did Italy blow that lead with 4 times the divisions!?!?
I don't know why but the idea that these nations are given independence and because HOI 4 is so war focused compared to Vici 3 or EU 4 the only option the AI can think of is to start having them all beat the crap out of each other instead of just i don't know, building some factories or something
well, i tried this once personally, you got further down the line than me. i was also stuck in some eternal conflict with italy, and then unlike you, i wasn't able to survive the second attempt at italy coming back to colonize me, so... pop a beer for that small triumph i guess?
I don’t exactly know how it works but I think they change ideology to whatever yours is when you get them into the executive council. Might be wrong tho
Currently playing this path, and even if everything goes your way, this is the worst formable in the game. The amount of PP needed to integrate nations is ridiculous, unless you go for the communist path like sejowzak did and capitulate all majors. At which point, you're still stuck with a mediocre formable.
@@_HollowBeing_ R56 gives a small semi unique focus tree to the north african french releasable (plus r56 is just a better way to play any minor in general)
