Dog friendly hotels are relatively easy to find. But a pet friendly hotel that allows large dogs and cat friendly hotels…not so much. If you’re looking for hotels near Disney with no pet size restrictions or dog breed restrictions, look no further. A large pool, free Disney shuttle, free breakfast buffet and comfortable accommodations make TownePlace Suites your best bet when traveling to Florida with your large dog, cat, iguana, fish, bird, etc.
TownPlace Suites by Marriott in Winter Garden, Fl is close to Disney World and may very well be the most pet-friendly hotel anywhere. It can be difficult to find a hotel for big dogs and certain breeds, but look no further. This place has it all. Located on a relatively quiet street, the hotel is just across from everything you need to complete your stay. A little Target Grocery store, several restaurants, including Five Guys, Pita, and more are within safe walking distance from the hotel entrance. A dedicated pet walk, complete with poopie bags and waste disposal can is just the beginning. Our pet was not only welcome, but enjoyed everywhere except where food and beverages were served. We took her for walks around the property, through the property and she spent some time lounging at the pool. While it is required that you crate your pet while they are alone in your room, we never found the need. We didn’t leave the property at all except to do a little grocery shopping and to pick up food from the breakfast buffet or the nearby restaurants. When we had to do that, we just took turns so one of us was with her at all times. That might seem like an inconvenience to some, but it was exactly the type of vacation we were looking for…one we could enjoy with our Trixie girl. And, we sure did!
Watch our video to see a room tour of the 2 Queen Studio Suite. It had 2 queen beds, a kitchenette with a full refrigerator/freezer, 2 burner cooktop, dishwasher, pull-out sofa, dining room table and full bathroom. The property had a wonderful pool with plenty of lounge chairs, sofas and ping pong tables around. It also had a game room, fitness center, restaurant and ice cream dispensed by a robot!
The staff members were BEYOND friendly and accommodating to us and to Trixie (most important, in our opinion). One of the front desk workers even gave her a yummy treat! So many families, adults and children wanted to give Trixie a little love. They were missing their pets that they had left behind. She loved all the attention!
The hotel’s pet policy states that all well-mannered dogs, cats, fish and birds are welcome, 1 per room for a $150 fee per stay. However, they have told us that ALL well-mannered pets are welcome. Call the front desk to confirm prior to booking!
The rates were incredibly reasonable. Our nightly fee was about $120 and they charge a $150 non-refundable pet fee per stay - whether you stay for a night or for two weeks!
