Amazing as always. The fisherman didn’t have his repeater nearby, leaving him vulnerable to the giant alligators, giant turtles, giant scorpions and giant bison monsters.
I really liked the peaceful feel of this one. Just a man about his business on break, or working hard on the job as it were ;) even without the threat of some crazy monster you still managed to give it a story. I just look at it and wonder, and think about if I were the fisherman. It's really cool, mate. You're such a good artist honestly. Even if you don't feel that way, when you make a piece it always has tells a story and that's super awesome. Cheers!
I’ve never been a “western” fan. I started following you because of the awesome Star Wars builds. But, I must admit that I’m becoming a fan of your Wild West themed builds. Another job very well done. I don’t mind the lack of a monster in this one. I know you’re building up to a whole combined set, so there can’t be monsters everywhere.
Really liked this one, I believe this was a lot more interesting then just a mineshaft, and had a complex feel to it. I have to say I'm really digging this series
Your builds are more entertaining every time I watch. Local historical lessons, jokes (OSHA) and of course the builds. Can’t wait till the next episode.
This might sound a little “out there” but what if there was an alien spaceship that crashed and was discovered by your western people which is how they got all of the futuristic stuff. The aliens would have evolved into the monsters in your builds and now this mine is used to access the ship buried in the mountains and farm it for its energy source.
Hey man! Love your imaginary Wild West universe. I had an idea, you’re welcome Take it or leave it! You do you. What if you did a diorama of men building the railroad in the sandy desert and sand sharks were circling them. Keep up the good work my brother! You’re awesome. I appreciate you!
The chute was probably for the air that could not be compressed...or has been compressed too much. Down the chute, start over. Never heard AIR POLLUTION? Tons of compressed air laying around down there....I guess.
This was really cool! The vertical structure had a shaft running through it with a turbine at the bottom. They dammed the falls, ran the water through the turbine, then the shaft ran back up to the buildings and powered the air compressor.
this is just wow its beautiful and just wow! , also that guy fishing has given me a wonderful idea that could fit in your little world couple guys fishing and there is a giant catfish monster
Those trees are gorgeous colours 😍 This is awesome, I love that you based it on a real building then gave it your own flair. This wild imaginary west series is just getting better and better. Does the wild imaginary west have gophers….oversized, sinkhole causing monster sized ones?
Amazing diorama! I live in Colorado and it seems like every office building has a photo of the Crystal mill lol you see it everywhere, I've always wanted to go and check it out but apparently it's quite a hike.
You should make a gang of four armed werewolves half dressed in human clothes For your next monsters. I love this whole monster wild west series. Keep up the good work.
I really thought this was gonna be like a crystal mine where they harvest energetic crystals of some kind. might be cool idea for that mineshaft you were thinking about though. great build either way!
I love these Wild Imaginary West ones, they're always packed with so much character and really inspire my imagination for other things that could exist in that world
8:16 "OLFA" Finally, someone who pays respect to his blade. If you need to call yourself a hobbier you need to have blades of the best quality. Olfa, Tajima, Muratec-Kds, these are real blades, not the Stanley "whoknowswhereitwasmanufactured" models. Great diorama dude. Keep up and stay safe.
0:12 I wasn’t paying much attention for a second but then I heard this part and out loud went “p a r d o n ?!” because I thought you meant MINORS, as in like underage kids 💀 So I whipped my head around only to see little figurines of MINERS, aka people who work in mine shafts 😅 which I had already forgotten was the main focus of this model 😅😅
hey Boylei, I've been with your channel since the K2SO build (3 of my separate accounts ago) and I absolutely love the way your builds come out. thanks for being such an inspiration to a young dioramaniac
Just gotta day, you are one of my favorite hobby people out there, and I think this is some of your best work to date. Thanks for doin what you do. Keep up the good work. Much love from the Pacific Northwest.
Hey y'all im new to all these model making videos and was wondering why he sprays isopropyl alcohol then uses watered-down glue for the rocks amd sand instead of just using watered-down glue?
I have no interest in this kind of stuff, but I can't stop watching your channel for some reason. I suppose it's likely a testament to your skill. Keep it up!
First time watching a video from your channel! I really like the way you narrate, it's relaxing, low key funny and informative. Time for me to jump down the rabbit hole and binge your previous videos.
You call it, "good." I call it, excellent! It never fails to amaze me what you are able to accomplish with basic, inexpensive kits, materials and endless imagination! Your Wild Imaginary West is a winner! The only thing missing from this scene is a steampunk train / monorail, and/or an airship hovering overhead . . . . (And I'm going to CONTINUE noting this until you provide them.)
Here, here!! I have also been calling for a hover train robbery scene for quite awhile now. With Boylei's skill and talent I am sure it will be an extraordinary masterpiece and I can not wait to see it!!
@@earlware4322 I suspect that all of Boylei's fans, (and there are many of them,) wholeheartedly agree with us! As a sidebar, I've picked up a few IMEX sets, and have plans for some Steampunk scenes of my own. In addition to being an excellent modeler with a vivid imagination, Mr. Boylei is also a provider of inspiration!
Fantastic work. The new installments in this series are the high point of my week. Very inspirational. Makes me want to do something similar with my model railroad.
Love the idea of recreating an actual historical site into your town! You have a nice attention to detail for creating realism or a believable environment. Suggestion is to carry this acumen throughout the diorama for consistency. Example is the scale of the wire grating used on the platforms. Using materials you have is great but if it throws off the model, I'd suggest to make the platforms of balsa wood instead as the grating holes are as wide open as the fisherman's foot, hence not the best add! Example... 304 Stainless Steel Woven Wire 80 Mesh 0.18mm Hole (Amazon). Keep up the great work!
I'd hate to bring this up, but for that rail to be OSHA compliant, you'll also need a mid rail and a toeboard. But this, being the Wild Imaginary West, I'm certain OSHA hasn't been created yet, so the rail that you have would be more than enough to prevent the majority of injuries that could take place. Good stuff!
Excellent build well done, I'm loving this series. In fact I was just watching Veritasium's latest video about a bipedal robot/drone thing, and the first thing that sprung to mind was "This would look ace in Boylei Hobby Time's Western Sci-Fi Universe".
Loving your builds and the pace of production. Each one gets better and better. Quick question though. How did you paint your rocks? It went by so fast it was hard to follow.
Thank you! And sorry for skipping through that. I gave the rocks a wash with various tones of brown and black and highlighted with light grey drybrush after the washes had dried.
I would love to see something with Plasma! I know you sort of do hobbies on a budget, but I think incorporating the plasma generators from Warhammer 40000 would fit your world perfectly!
You know, I couldn't help thinking at the end, as it was turning and I saw the side of the hill painted black how cool it might be if in the "cutaway" there was some kind of fossil or something...
I've actually had a painting of this landmark on my wall since I was a child. My dad bought it at a thrift store when we moved here, had no idea it was a real place. So I was absolutely shook when I saw this video. Sent it to all my family saying "look it our painting!" You did a fantastic job! This looks super awesome!
00:43 My grandparents in Croatia have this exact photo framed in their living room, as long as I could remember. This was really a blast from the past. Beautiful work as always!
Aww man this is awesome, I like how you took inspiration from something real and brought it to life in your world, have you named your west-fy universe yet
you should join all of your builds together into a large and really cool imaginary western collosal diorama. it would be awesome. also, this is really impressive
This is one of my favorite builds from this series. I love the blend of real life and this universe. It's nice to see an everyday, quiet scene from this world and the fall foliage is a really nice touch. I would really like to see you expand on the pinkerton/space travel idea that you mentioned in the mine shaft video. This is my favorite youtube series at the moment and I await every Sunday with baited breath.
Long time fan, first time commenter. I would love to watch a movie or (even better) a TV series set in your world. Do you keep and display all of these similarly themed projects? I'd be interested in seeing how you do that.
Really love your dioramas. They're so fun and whimsical! I think the inside of a saloon would be great for your wild west. (I like teeny food items. Haha)
chamonix mont blanc, valley, france. and you could sold it .... (a lot of money in chx, and english people). Make some point of view of top vacations, and purpose to after...
@3:17 - "And then I glued in that little chute. To be honest, I'm not really sure what it was originally for but..." You got me curious so I did some digging. That's called the penstock. It housed the drive axle that transmitted power from the water wheel to the machinery. The smaller portion of the building just above the penstock is the gear house.
Great build as always! I'd love to see a scene involving a less than deadly, perhaps even friendly monster? Maybe someone defending a harmless monster from other hunters?
Or a farmer making use of a giant (or maybe six-legged??) wooly mammoth around the farm. Either that or a cowboy riding atop a emu-like bird creature as a mount herding over-sized sheep...??
I don’t know what you’ll were planning for your mineshaft, but a bisected view like an animal farm or side scroller could be neat. Great vide, and fantastic diorama!
Amazing job there. It gives me ideas for a 1/72 scale Colorado railways scene using a train in STL 3d to print on sale on kickstarter by a wargamer named Laurent Fabregat. He made Civil war era trains and buildings plus track you can print on a resin or a filament 3D printer... it's nice and can also be used to create far west trains scenes too (I plan to recreate scenesof movies like Rio Lobo or The train robbers, with the trains... not that far from my usuel railway modelling in OO 1/76 scale of WW2 British Great Western rwy in may-june 1944...
