Kids will love the taste of these sour cherries, and they can even be served at parties to take advantage of the goodness of cherries.
Ingredients:
1.5 kg cherry
2 tbsp salt
50g sugar
1 liter water
1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions:
Step 1:
To prepare the delicious sour cherries, pour water into a suitable pot and place it over high heat until it boils. When the water starts to boil, add two tablespoons of salt to it.
Step 2:
In this step, add the lemon juice. Note that for better preservation and a nicer color of the sour cherries, do not remove the lemon juice. Then add the sugar. If you want it to be sour, you can omit the sugar.
After washing the cherries and removing their stems, put them in the boiling water. Once the cherries start to boil, skim off any foam to make them shinier and more beautiful. It takes about two hours for the cherry syrup to reduce and reach the desired consistency.
In the final step, after two hours when it has cooled down, pour it into a nylon bag. You can warm a knife and seal the nylon bag, or use a ziplock bag and store it in the freezer for an extended period."
