she didn't broke the game. a few items that you need to have, like facepuncher, unleash the dragon make her viable, but not gamebreaking. ever heard of krieg? on bl2 you can play trough the whole game WITHOUT ANY GEAR no guns, classmods, shields, relics, grenades, nothing but his buzzax. only one skill tree is nescessary for gearless krieg. mordecai on bl1 was also stupid strong with melee reaching damage cap. now that amara can be played with any weapon for melee, finally her melee will be stupid strong like mordecai and krieg. what makes her "broken" is the white elephant face-puncher combo, but it's just shooting gun with melee scaling. she'll be more fun to play now. as veteran, i know that her melee is weak, and this skill tree will make her a REAL game-breaker

Seriously I was in a build crisis for a while cause I wanted to do melee, but this will be it for me. Can't wait for the new trees.

​@@Jojotheprocrastinator I do "psycho stabber" weapon, "ward" shield, "unleash the dragon" relic, "breaker" class mod. if you have dlc, I recommend the "muse" class mod. Those are for mobbing. for bossing, it's the old white elephant/facepuncher combo. I hate farming for annointeds, so my build isn't based on annointed, but a 300-90 and a 200% melee phaseslam are good options. where to farm those items: psycho stabber: bormam nates at meridian outskirts on promethea. he's located right next to the fast travel station, at the same place "maliwannabees" misson takes place with rax and max. although max and rax stay on the map level, borman nates has level scaling. on a previous hotfix, the psychostabber got a 340% melee multiplier, so it's mandatory to get one. ward: just go kill graveward. it's quite a rare drop, but it'll drop. get the 300% roid version. unleash the dragon: it's dropped by el dragon jr at the jackobs state. just turn left at the fast travel station. it's right next to the eridian writing on a small waterfall breaker: it can be dropped by the skag of survival. it's the main boss from the trial of survival from the eridian trials. white elephant: it can be dropped by the agonnizer 9000. on guts of carnivora. it's a reeealy rare to drop. face-puncher: i can be dropped by Muldock, the Anointed. a mini boss you can find at floodmoor basin on eden 6. it's where you rescue the gunsmith Dalton in the mission "guns of reliance". i don't have dlc, but i have a lot of fun with this build. with dlc it's even stronger try it out edit: ONLY the ward shield is excluive drop. all other can be world drops

@@vinnt_tnniv I actually do have a few good pieces. For example I have a 200% melee on phaseslam lvl 1 ward, I do have a psycho stabber, and I just wanna farm for a better muse and face puncher. I haven't tried a melee build since we only had mayhem 1-3 and it was hard to make a actual good build that could handle bossing pretty well. So I'll hold off the build and keep farming for these items until the next tree drops. Meanwhile taking a break from bl3 and playing ghost. Thanks for the advice

Any frozen grenade will work for frozen enemies or guns so the only down side is sir hammocks sister 😄

@@buschkoeter a more Maya-esque skill tree that could give her more reliable damage against solo enemies where she can struggle. This certainly does that, but I'm not big on the melee/facepuncher builds. I think I can at least pick up a few skills in the purple tree though to do the trick.

I play with fl4k having a lot of fun with the terror lucky7 on him and all I can say that game breaker/melee amara they can't keep up

it all depends on the user. I play with vanilla items from the game and i kill everything in the game with REAL melee i use the facepuncher for second winds and bossing (if the boss is too far away, like graveward).

@@vinnt_tnniv I personally dislike to play with pure melee. I like to use face puncher, but I dislike to play only with Face puncher. Face puncher demand to replace the Pearl by some White Elephant, Corrosive stone static Charge or another relics that improve only mellee and Face puncher. I hope for new weapons that inflict melee damage (one pistol, one smg and one assault rifle).

@@rodrigoaraujo7323 But an Elemental Projector White Elephant is stronger than the Pearl, and has more damage bonus stats too.

@@ROCKSTAR3291 is stronger if you are using a face puncher but not if you are using a Light show. That is the point, all the build are to use exclusively the face puncher and melee, for me it's bore, I would prefer to be more siren an less melee.

@@rodrigoaraujo7323 yeah it’s true. Amara is all about melee and her action skills, it gets boring sometimes. I have a Light Show build too, using Terror to have infinite ammo, the Pearl and consecutive hit anointment are really good for this

Don't worry, there's a reason gearbox let moxsy play. This skill tree is gonna be neutered by the time it comes out.

I mean, bullet witch amara using a “root”, breaks the games audio.. whilst absolutely melting everything, even post nerf. Facepuncher amara? Literally turns M10 into a casual stroll through the park.

well, real melee players will have the facepuncher for second winds only, and will user their hands to kill stuff. mobbing is one of the core parts of borderlands, so i barely use the facepuncher it's all on the player. wanna be a bitch with the facepuncher? wanna do REAL melee and actually risking youself getting close to the enemy? it's up to you i love the facepuncher, but i use it sparingly

@@vinnt_tnniv Yeah... that's pretty much me. I carry the Facepuncher around just in case I REALLY need it. I'm not going to drop Wotan dead with my fists anytime soon xD But it's just sad how nearly every cool thing melee gets, it works twice (or more) as better on a Facepuncher :/

Your loss. You don’t have to play melee to have points on that new tree anymore then you have to play melee if you’re i her green tree. You’ll just miss out on more build diversity & the cryo action skill option along with new class mods....stop being so narrow minded.
