The original grind to get a Living Ship was simultaneously a work of art, and an insane exercise in patience and tenacity. I'm glad it's been simplified. I'm definitely going to try this in my LS, for sure. I love that thing and only want to make it more insane.
If I remember right, one of the last things I did on no man’s sky before my Xbox went kaput was hatching the living ship egg when it first came out in the silver shop, it was so fun, next thing I get that can run nms I’ll probably do that again as one of the first things I do just because the living ship aesthetic is so good.
@@Redsauceconsumer one of my family members accidentally spilled water on it while I wasn’t around because I had it underneath the kitchen counter. Usually it was upstairs in my room, but the internet in my room was awful so I’d take it downstairs and use it there sometimes. Evidently that wasn’t a good idea
I really want to get this, I'm still new to the game, but that is a beautiful starship. I see more new and amazing things about this game the more I explore different members of the galactic hub.
It's a shame that most of the things you see in the Quicksilver shop aren't actually unlockable unless you actually were around for the Expeditions, which are limited-time events...
@@TornaitSuperBirdyou can still obtain things like the pets and ships you just need to use the service bot mentioned in this video or get a friend who has it to trade them to you. Massive shame you can’t do this for any base building parts tho

Holy crap…. I’ve always liked NMS by just watching vids on RU-vid. I don’t really get into space games, but I am very excited for light no fire. I do hope that they implement some sort of magic enchantment or something to Light no fire making it extremely customizable
While i personally disagree with using exploits for things like this i DO recognize that as a mostly singleplayer game it doesnt matter as long as you have fun, i love the living ships and might have to try this even tho it goes against my own morals
i love this idea but i cant put this to use as i cant afford the patreon but i hope you keep doing supidly overpowered things like this till the day i can aford it
The thumbnail shows a rainbow living ship but the video is actually about how to reskin a sentinel with any living ship, which gives you two technology types in the same ship and increases the ship damage to an insane 250k-1.5 million DPS on Normal mode.
Im surprised anything is more deadly than my Sentinel fighter. I fought close to 50 freighter battles to finally get an S class Pirate Dreadnaught - THAT was fun!
Yea no thanks, not changing all my settings and all to make this work, feels like cheating to me. I was mostly curious how it's done but 5:15 in and it's way to much setting manipulation and cheating for my personal liking, i like to play game naturally but occasionally look up vids to make sure i haven't missed a core mechanic, like being able to super chare the primary weapon for example for more damage was unknown to me until recently. this on other hand manipulating all settings and everything feels like you mind as well just use a save editor, do you really need a ship that powerful? not much point and would destroy any degree of difficulty or satisfaction of playing.
You aren’t the first to express this feeling … I’m familiar with the concern for cheating in a non-competitive sandbox game and that flying a powerful ship will spoil everything. From my experience it doesn’t but this is all subjective. This method is for those like me who can’t use a save editor but want something like a god-tier ship. What is the music playing? For both songs! And what does a "Harmonic" living ship mean? I don't have either of the ships so don't think I can do this atm.
There are upgrades that you typically get at space stations and outlaw stations that you open up and get random stat bonus values … these are referred to as procedural upgrades and you can only have 3 of them installed. There are other upgrades that are blueprints you learn at the Anomaly in the room behind Nada which you craft and which always have fixed stat bonus values. Installing these won’t overload your technology. So get 3 of the procedural upgrades and all of the craftable upgrades, as well as the photonix core which is a special upgrade. If you follow this and watch the video again with this in mind you won’t be installing too many procedural upgrades and overloading your technology
Ohhhhhh I see, I reallly appreciate your help, I’m kinda new so I’m still leaning where to find certain things and whatnot, 1 more question, where do I go to add the living parts to the sentinel ship, I can’t find the option to add the spicing ship upgrade parts

My cousins and I are completely new to NMS. How did you get the skins on your character? Were they limited time only, or are they unlocked through quests/milestones?

this is very cool and worked perfectly only problem is that i cant get exactly the living ship i want using the customizer cause its paid access only but still very cool trick
If you make a few simple picture contributions into the channels you can request your perfect ship and we’ll DM you the seed … only thing you can’t do that for is sentinels. Every other ship we can customize for you with a bit of community participation 😊
Im on steam and the joined their patreon for a reskin and once the right spot is open and i run it, it just keeps saying lobby not found restart. Any ideas
This happened to me one day … restarted multiple times and cycled through multiple lobbies. I’m the end it connected after I just hung out in the Anomaly until nearly everyone had left. So just let it sit a bit and keep trying
The numbers in the cockpit are glitched so I couldn’t accurately tell you, but based on travel times the ship has fast pulse engine in space but moderate to slow boost in space and slow boost in atmosphere. Having two technologies seems to remove boost from upgrades is my theory. Which is why this isn’t a god-tier ship, just a super powerful living ship 🙂 … on the plus side there is no glitching of the ship movements in space or in the atmosphere other ships past 5000 maneuverability tend to experience 😆
I remember making a 48/48 slot ls then putting the ls ship parts in a mechanical ship it was so broken it's good to see our apprentices still doing as my first instructions said
I lost a Starborn runner to a Glitch with another players Sentinel ship. I lost that starborn runner because it fused the ships and all tech so I had 2 of everything and they weren’t removable. Which caused the game to lag and slowly corrupt. So if this is the same it cannot work.
It appreciate your concern and it does work 😁 It has worked for many people already … I’ve glitched 4 square sentinels into almost all my other ships for months with no ill effects and players with save editors have been installing different tech types in ships for years. It’s unfortunate your game corrupted somehow (I experienced that a lot when playing the Switch version) and I won’t try to persuade you to do this but it’s a stable glitch for players who have tried it on every platform that supports multiplayer
Yes. You can customize it however you like 😁 I went with phase beam since the grafted eyes come automatically with the living ship and increase the power of that weapon
did you use the hypercharge slots for the pulse thrusters because thats the most convenient for the setup and where they were or is the pulse drive the best thing to get hypercharged?
My harmonic ship has survived multiple patches/major updates thus far 😁 HG would need to make a patch that targets every players’ ship-type and restores it to its original settings, or they would need to remove the living ship or sentinel interceptor from the game. Probability almost null.
that’s an odd glitch regarding the comm balls. did you turn off multiplayer before going to the location?… if not you’ll need to wait a day or two and go back with multiplayer off to see if it’s respawned.
@@ArcaneTraveller I did have mp off, I also noticed though that the terrain is completely different, its not even a dissonant planet (I am triple sure im in the right galaxy, portal coords, and planet coords)

How do you have 7 pulse upgrades? I have all but one A class upgrade arranged as you do. Where do you get another A class that wont override with the other 2 A's, 1 S, and 3 X's?
the three X class are procedural upgrades. The rest are the photonix core and craftable upgrades, the blueprints of which are purchased at the Anomaly … these don’t count against your 3 upgrades limit.

Yes living ship upgrades are temporary and must be stored before reload or they disappear. This is discussed in the video at 14:20 and I also show that though there is a big difference in stats with upgrades, at the already high level of performance without upgrades, there isn’t a significant difference in outcome. The difference in the time it takes to destroy a sentinel or capital ship with or without upgrades is in the hundredths of a second 😆
Question. I have the ship ready to go, but I am missing the photonic core upgrade. How do I transfer it from the Starborn runner to the Interceptor? Can you just drag and drop it, is it a blueprint, I just want to know so that I can get the Starborn Runner from the Service Bot and be sure that it will work. Thanks in advance!
I am on location +26.86, +149.57 but there is no interceptor for me? Used the portal with the coordionations of 1:34 Am i missing something? Used a scanner to find ships in the vicinity but that led me to some random ship
Make sure you’re in Euclid. If you are and it’s a dissonant planet with gravity storms then you probably had multiplayer on and someone else grabbed the ship right before you. You’ll need to wait a day or two, turn off multiplayer, and go back to the system. When picking up crashed ships or multitools always turn off multiplayer before entering the target system.
@@ArcaneTraveller This is exacly what happened to me. I am still somewhat new to this game so did not fully realized what Euclid system ment + I finished the story once so I was not in Euclid anymore. Managed to get back, found the ship
@@ArcaneTraveller Thank you for that. A reskin did work, but they disappeared again after quitting the game. A warp to different system restored them. How can I make the Temporal Starship Trail the default? It seems like red overwrites all others unless i install rainbow.
Temporal trails have this priority: Rainbow (chromatic), Red, Green, Purple (stealth), Yellow (golden), Sputtering, Temporal. Since temporal has lowest priority you would need to have only that one installed for it to be visible 😊

This isn’t a beginning user ship and starting with this just might be too different from standard gameplay. Do the game the intended way until you want something more then come back to this. As to the other comment about breaking the game … nothing is broken. This uses a glitch that’s already in the game and affects people as an accident all the time. Here we’re using that glitch with purpose to make a ship that’s stronger.

Hey man can you help me, it says my anti gravity well doesnt have enough fuel, and everytime i try and launch from the ground it doesnt have power to luanch me up regardless of how much fuel the anti gravity well has which in laymans terms is the launch thrusters

I suppose you could take the sentinel interceptor through a galaxy jump before installing any other upgrades and then repair everything except the launch thruster. I haven’t tried that but even the presence of another launch thruster installed might still trigger the takeoff issue. I’m going to revise this video with new info anyway so I’ll try the galaxy jump before I release the updated video 👍
I jumped galaxies and broke all the technology … interestingly on reload all technology self-repairs so breaking a launch thruster will not resolve the 2 thruster take-off glitch. Looks like there’s no need to change settings to no technology damage as the ship auto-repairs all sentinel tech on reload.
The seed won’t help you … it’s not a 4 square seed. All the sentinel interceptors in a system have the same seed, and they also have the same SC layout which has been changed/overridden by their spawn location (crash site), giving them different SC layouts.
That’s the Starborn Runner … you may notice it has a different name because he got it with a different SC layout using the NMS service bot. That one has 4 SC in a rhombus I think.
you can but it’s best to use the sentinel. Starting with a living ship results in a much slower less capable vehicle … you can’t even visit red, green, or blue stars without changing difficulty settings. When using the sentinel, all standard core tech will drop out after conversion, but you can reinstall that standard core tech whenever you want … which gives you a faster hybrid than the harmonic ship, with no take-off issues, and still quite powerful using sentinel and photon cannon together. I have several exotic-sentinel hybrids. Very fast and powerful.
it didnt work for me, i went and got the exact same ship in the video, maxed its class and inventory slots, made sure it had 4 super charge slots in the right place , installed all required tech just like oyu have shown in the video, even paid for a 25 a week service bot usage membership , made sure i had the correct seed for the rainbow living ship, used the service bot while i was on the specific launch pad in the anomaly , and when the service bot connected to the game i can see the living ship land inside the interceptor but the skin doesnt change, ive tried the proccess 6 times now , restarting the game, reloading from the restore point, and for some reason i cannot get the skin to seed for me. Any suggestions ? also i notice that in the service bot option you are using a different intercetor and reskinning it with not the rainbow living ship, does the service bot option work with the rainbow livingship ?
as to the bot ship … the interceptor hadn’t respawned for me yet so I used an interceptor with the same layout I had a seed code for, and I felt like showing a different living ship that I thought also looked good 😊

All of the tech from the sentinel remains and all the living ship core tech modules persist after reload. If you decide to add living ship upgrades they need to be stored before reload or they will disappear.
Great, I remember an old glitch that merged two ships just like this one but the oversized starship bullets reset, and all of my sentinel ship modules disappeared after I restarted my game, I assume this is permanent?@@ArcaneTraveller
You would need to use the service bot to get a sentinel reskin delivered. Get in the sentinel and move/upgrade components, then exit and go back to your living ship skin. It’s easy but does require a service bot request
@@ArcaneTraveller the organs i installl now gets removed by the game and they dont come back even after a fully reload... they must have patched up this bug.
Ah ok … you meant the upgrades for the living ship. I thought you meant installing new sentinel upgrades/tech. The living ship upgrades have always disappeared on reload and the video states this around 14:20 I believe. You have to store your living ship upgrades before reload … but I personally don’t even use the upgrades. They increase the numbers but the ship is already so overpowered that there isn’t a big difference between instant destruction and slightly-faster-than-instant destruction. The ship works for me exactly as it did before this last update.

Just started this game and saw some dude with this ship at the hub and gave him the thumbs up emote. He gave me 480,000,000 credits worth of some ai tubes. I like the game a lot more now.
I literally danced on the Nexus cuz I thought it was funny, and some guy gave me like a billion units worth of AI valves. Literally filled my inventory, and jump-started my save!
Same here. I'm 200 hours in and still have 12 ai valves left 😅 granted at around 100hrs I basically switched to creative because I really wanted to explore and build anytime I could

I was told exotic ship can spawn very rarely on a solar system and I think only 1 type of exotic per system. I found one S class exotic in one of the Trading Post the first time and it was that moment I set a goal to get one of those while looking at my 900+k units :( That exotic one I think cost 45M if I remember it right
Really cool I Play on PC and the method I used to boost the living ship was a save editor like NomNom or Goatfungus... Using the save editor I was able to make Every single slot a supercharge slot and its is wild what that does!
Save editors are amazing tools 😁… the first method was my PS5 workaround for my own god-tier ship without having a save editor. Then Mjstral discovered the reskin ship delivery and it was immediately obvious how easy this process now would be for PS5 players and anyone who didn’t already have a save editor to get a really fun living ship. Organic modules will disappear and you will be left with only the sentinel technologies which won’t be able to be moved. You could likely install a photon cannon in place of the spewing vents at that point, which would still give you damage better than any vanilla ship but the photon cannon wouldn’t persist on reload and would need to be reinstalled.
Once I have created my harmonic living ship is there a way to change the colours? I used the seed at the very end of this video, but only just realised you have like 5/6 more seeds on a previous video you did. I would like the red/black one. Can't I just use the nomansapp to reskin it again and then use the seed for the red/black one? If I can, it's not going to affect it stats and/or modules?
You can reskin the current ship with the black and red seed … the maneuverability will be a little lower though. The black and red ship has a lower base maneuverability than the black and purple.

I still have my old God-Tier Golden Vector. It only has 331k dps, but really, at that point... Does it matter? 😂 (TBH, I don't even use it, but I do like having it) Great video
It’s a glitch which has been present since the beginning of the game though the method of exploiting it has changed over time. There’s always the possibility HG could change something that renders the ship no longer convergent but that would likely require completely changing the ship type, which admittedly seems to randomly happen now to normal ships. I’ve seen on Reddit complaints of ships flipping to a different ship type where the seed would remain the same but the ship type would change … which is to say that no ship is truly safe from HG updates, but the likelihood of this ship being deliberately patched out is low.
