Just for those of you it might pertain to I wanna say I purchased Basic Blaze, Bland Blaze and Beardruff from Simon's company. They also sent me some Beard Butter shave cream and it's phenomenal. I've never found a product in a bottle this size, and for a lower price even it already feels like a win. The oils and products work better than anything I've ever used and I don't smell like a lumberjack or a metro dude getting waxed down there. Crack on Simon, keep the amazing videos and the quality products coming mate 🤜
I second this I got some oil and it has totally changed how my beard feels. Not oily at all just right and smells awesome. Thanks Simon and keep up the good work
@@IrishMike22 Thank you for the correction, as English is not my first language. Living and learning! Maybe wrong thread, but really, I think he speaks too fast, that's it, an unpopular opinion, maybe, I don't think I earned your level of aggressiveness. Maybe you can practice being nicer too?
I’ve been wondering / what is the air date schedule for The Casual Criminalist? For instance: Mike from That Chapter uploads every Tuesday and Friday - does Simon have a schedule like this or is it just random?
U are so right sir I caught that immediately as well..He was the guy who lived at the club and cleaned up blood and brain matter the crew left behind lol they kept him busy.
@@kumarg3598 mad isn't it. I love this genre. So listen and watch Mafia/mob docs/pods in work all day. So now when I see something wrong or a lying wannabe gangster I get on my high horse and feel like I've gotta correct them. I literally watched the Irish man last year fuming coz I know it's mostly lies.😂😂
@@wesleymcglone6937 I read I heard you paint houses. The author made good points until he talked about Gallo and Kennedy hits. Pure BS. No way they let a non italian do that to a made guy like gallo. Maybe today that works but not in the 70s. Mad dog Sullivan never took down a made guy without other made guys there. Plus, no way you could do that in NYC traffic. The shooters in castallano hit walked away. They knew better than to do a drive by.

I love these types of videos. Stories of lives, times, and crimes. My dad was born in Jamestown, New York in 1939. I wish he was still around so I could ask him questions.
I love your own 'Ad Reads'...... "There's no discount code or money off..... Because we priced it correctly from the beginning and don't have to pretend you only have this 'limited time' chance to get 94% off" Love your honesty and straight forwardness, definitely refreshing to see 👌 Have a great week big man! Much love and respect. Peace ✌️
Yeah it's like every other marketing dept thinks people are stupid and don't see through their pay-double-and-get-one-free limited time "bargains". I just wish stores woud also start offering discounts for using cash or check vs a credit card. The 3-5% fee VISA/MC charge for every debit /credit on a merchant account doesn't come from nowhere but the higher prices people pay for the stuff they are buying. Getting a token 1% back "reward" from Visa doesn't completely make that extra cost go away.
We priced it correctly and package it in 55 gallon drums. 💯🤓👍 so no need for discount pricing. Can't get it any lower than beard oil commodity pricing anyways. 😁
@@terryarmbruster9719 Selling a multipack at a discount while being able to see the genuine prices of each individual item at its current price is a little different than a lot of smaller companies and RU-vid sponsorships who seem to always have 80%+ off..... Roy Demeo was named The Butcher, he worked in a butchers shop as a young man. The old man who lived in the Gemini lounge was Dracula: Joey "Dracula" Guglielmo (1928 Bath Beach, Brooklyn - 1983) was the first cousin of Gambino crime family member Roy DeMeo. He was a brutal hitman as any of the DeMeo Crew and although his penchant was for the pornography rings that the crew operated out of the city, Joey was also a convicted felon who had done prison time for a bank robbery.
From what I've seen anytime a kid is put into the system they aren't rehabilitated they are taught different ways to be worse than before. Kinda college for criminals.
That's why they should just execute them and be done with it. Recidivism rates are 0 if they are dead after the first time. Society shouldn't waste time and other resources on rehabbing when there's already more than enough productive members without them, dispose of them and be done with it.
Ignorant solution, how about fix the root issue causing these crimes? If you had the childhood they did you’d be the exact same way. One of the only correlated factors to crime is poverty, try going after that. Instead you use violence as a solution, with a complete lack of empathy just like the criminals you want dead. Turns out you aren’t so different. Some people are evil to the core, but some were victims from a young age and the trauma they faced turned them to a life of crime. They can be rehabilitated easily if given a fair chance. Life isn’t black and white there aren’t good guys and bad guys we can separate out. Murder solves nothing, if you had it your way our justice system would kill way more entirely innocent people than it already has.
@@CitizenSnips69 They way I see it no one is 100% innocent if they end up in front of a judge for any reason, so there is no such thing as executing an innocent person unless they were outright framed for it, which doesn't happen nearly as often in real life as crime TV shows depict. People do and always will get judged by the company they keep. Don't associate with criminals and you won't get blamed for something they supposedly did while you were a so-called innocent bystander. Even if the death penalty was expanded as it should be it would still be fine and could be far worse. Like in DPRK, where you get caught doing something you shouldn't not only you but your immediate family members for 3 generations are also guilty and get sentenced to hard labor or executed with you. Or even in Mexico, where everyone is presumed guilty until proven innocent (functionally the same in USA if you are denied bail, you are locked in a cage until trial and your innocence is proved/disproved, which might take years).
Was thinking of Roy Demeo when I saw the title, and he came up first! I used to work with a relative of his (who had the same name...), and always think of him when hitmen are mentioned, but his name is rarely mentioned. ... btw, I'm not a hitman! Nor involved in organised crime. I only knew a perfectly respectable branch of the Demeo family
Tommy Pitera is seriously underrated. The guy was more or less a serial killer. Surprised they have not made a film about him. Demeo was never nicknamed, "Dracula". That was a name given to a relative who had a pale complexion and lived in the Gemini Lounge.
Dobbs Ferry...wow, talk about a blast from the past. When I still lived in NY I dated a guy who lived there, not far from the reform/rehab school (but then again the entirety of Dobbs Ferry is 3.1Square miles, so it's rather difficult to be "far" from anything). Beautiful village with cute eateries and shops, and a lovely park on the Hudson River from which there is an amazing view of Manhattan to the south and the Palisades cliffs to the north.
Roy DeMeo wasn't known as Dracula. That nickname went to Joseph Guglielmo, and it would have been Paul Castellano who ordered his execution, thought to have been carried out by two members of his own crew, Joseph Testa and Anthony Senter, known as the Gemini Twins.
@@timsmith1323 don't think anyone was ever prosecuted for the demeo killing though the Gemini twins are the widely accepted shooters with patty testa and nino gaggi being there also
Side projects can sometimes feel like a place where things that didn't quite fit in Simon's other channels come to. At first it was things that didn't fit in Mega Projects. Now it's for all of the other channels. This one is kind of a biographics side project.
I’ve been wondering - what is the air date schedule for The Casual Criminalist? For instance: Mike from That Chapter uploads every Tuesday and Friday - does Simon have a schedule like this or is it just random? Regards from a huge fan
They seem to upload about 2 times a week over there but not usually on any sort of schedule, recently Simon spent some time off on injury but there should be more content coming over there soon

I am really surprised that the man of so many channels hasn't set up a Crimes'r'Us channel. Tap into that CSI money.
One of the most graphic scripts ever written for this channel, I'm sure. Why this wasn't earmarked for the Casual Criminalist I'll never know. How could you have read this without the incredulous commentary, Simon? And, just a side note, I purchased Rotten Badger, and love it! I spritz myself and my guy at least once a day, to keep us both smelling absolutely fabulous. Hugs
Hmmm beardblaze! I am tempted! Advertising that beats business blaze! Lmao 😂😂 whoo! (clicks finger, swipes hand across) Nice, malevolent gangsters Always love a history lesson! 👍👏👏
Fun fact: I grew up about ~30 mins north of Pine Knot, KY where Tommy Karate is housed. It’s county, McCreary, is one of the poorest in the US. But, at least there’s a federal penitentiary there, right?! 😬 Great video and list, though!
If only he would put as much effort into pronouncing other people's names as he does into his unbelievable cut glass 1959 English accent he may go far.. 😂😂

He was not roy "dracula" demeo...dracula was his uncles nickname. Roy was nicknamed rooster. See murder machine book. Btw, Timmy karate is still alive and sells his prison art.
Roy Demeo’s cousins name was Dracula, Joey Dracula Gugleimo. Also, Andrzej Katz was the crews first murder. You got the girls name right but he never made it into her apt. They grabbed him outside her building.
It was the newspapers that came up with the name they never called themselves murder inc or murder incorporated also inc is short for incorporated so it makes sense to shorten it as it’s sounds snappier so would sell papers easier
@@donaldkaspersen3768 the Anastasia gang as you up put it is the gambino family not murder inc he was the point man for them when they got mob contracts but was never actually part of the group like lepke or Reles he gave the contracts to Shapiro or lepke and they dished them out as seen fit but they were more know as the Brownsville boys to those in the same circles
@@timsmith1323 Were you around when Anastasia was assassinated? I was. The Gambino family dispatched him because he was going out on his own. If I have been unclear, I understood that the assassinations were not performed by Anastasia and, that the work was farmed out, and that the assassinations were not done by any of the Italian gangs. I have read that some of the work was done by the Westies, though plainly others were involved. If you have some problem with Murder, Inc., the New Yorkers of that time used that term all but exclusively, even into the sixties when speaking in retrospect. It is all l heard when growing up and it is consistent with the way we informally speak in the city- the fewest syllables is always preferred.
Wait a minute. Roy wasn't called Dracula. That was actually his cousin who lived in an apartment in the Gemini lounge. Come on bro you got to get your facts straight before telling a story
@@williamemerson1799 Yep. If you haven’t read or listened to the audio book on RU-vid or “Murder Machine,” about Roy and the Gemini crew, I highly recommend it. It’s only a few hours worth of audio book on RU-vid. Very interesting.

Roy Demeo was never called Dracula. Dracula was the nickname of Roy's cousin Joseph “Dracula” Guglielmo who lived in an apartment in the basement of the gemini lounge, his shower was used by Demeos crew to drain the blood of several people who unfortunately crossed paths with the crew. Real sick shit.
Okay, buddy. Usually I am nice about things and you are mostly right but you got too much important wrong and when you get 100x the followers I do to talk about a subject I am obsessed with, and I am releasing new info after chasing down mobsters and ex cops, I gotta fix this. A) Dracula was the name of Joey, his cousin, not Roy. Roy was nicknamed The Butcher, if he can be said to have had a nickname. B) they didn't dismember the corpse before putting it the tub. That would defeat the point of hanging it up. They put in the tub and sometimes hung it above the tub, drained the corpse so the rest of the blood coagulated, then cut it up so it was less messy. C) Babette Judith didn't know Roy. His thug Borelli persuaded her and she had no idea they were gonna kill Katz. Katz didn't go into her apartment and get ambushed. He was ambushed outside her apartment, dragged into a car, and whisked away. D) Katz was one of their first murders, which is why they fucked up disposing it. It was in 75. It wasn't a sign of their unraveling (the crew lasted until 83). They had over a hundred more to go, and Roy almost fifty by his own hand, at that point. Roy wasn't even made yet.
I bet none of you have heard of Joey Karate, he was a trained assassin, a Cuban black belt, he lost his rank on the boat ride over and he was fighting to get it back ever since
I was hoping Sideprojects would cover the career of Richard "The Iceman" Kuklinski. He only was convicted of 5 murders, but sure had an interesting life.
Most of what he said was totally fabricated yes he killed people but never for the mob as such he was more just a whack job that enjoyed killing people
Iv always wondered why hitmen are never classified as serial killers because it seams like they love to kill just as much as a serial killer maybe not for the same reason but they still must love it on some level because they keep doing it over and over
Roy demeo was not killed on the order of Carlo Gambino but the order came from Paul Castellano in early 1980s.Don carlo died in 1976.roy became wiseguy in 1977 or 1978.fun facts, being killed by his own crew.
