Ive been playing solo and squading with randoms for a year on this game, its more fun with friends but id say half the players or more in a match use mics and are nice far as PC goes, you just need to be willing to talk and others will be more willing to do the same.
I’ve been looking a game with an actual m16 or rifle style controller. Like an old arcade setup. Or duck hunter? Does any exist. That PlayStation white thing looks silly
I love this game and how it "soft forces" people into awesome, intense teamplay. Even for those that dont talk much or at all almost always listens at least and as a squad lead, you can do a lot with that. :) And if you think the game looks difficult, it is but its difficult for everyone and its so rewarding when one succeeds. One single good flank can change the battle, one garrison built at the right place can decide outcome, that one tank kill means so much more than in other games like this. A good artillery team can be horrible to face if your snipers cant get deep enough to harrass/take out. There are so many elements in a round of HLL that has great impact on the overall battle and makes no fight the same. Highly recommended.
@@gentleseal1778 Post Scriptum is Squad's WWII little brother. Best of both worlds! And for anyone thinking, "yeah, PS looks awesome, but it's dead," the only reason it has a low player count is because people bitch about it having a low player count. At the moment, I'd say it has a small but very dedicated fanbase.
This reminds me of when I just started playing. From asking for a ride in a supply truck, to underthrowing a grenade by accident, I look forward to you guys growing in this game after your first American Win.
Love that you guys are playing this, even thought like a few weeks ago that this would be a great game for you guys to play with how amazing the team and squad dynamics can be. Loved this video and hope to see more!
This is a very fun game as long as you leave your K/D at the door. Kills don't matter. It's all about having more than one garrison up, having map control, and making sure you have nodes up so your commander do do stuff. This isn't Battlefield or CoD, this is Hell Let Loose, and the sooner you learn that, the sooner you'll have fun. Protip for anyone thinking about buying the game: Learn to play Defense. Too many players want to mindlessly run to the next point so they can frag out. You know where all the enemies are going? That's right, straight to your point. Hunker down until you see where they're pushing from, then counter attack and destroy their OPs. THAT'S where the action is.
sheesh, wish some of the people I would play with would actually care about letting the commander do stuff and not their K/D. Had a match where me and some friends were at the artillary with a couple other squads. Order to cease fire came in to let out munitions tick up to let the commander call in something, but this other squad would not stop firing and was keeping our munitions low. Wouldn't normally do this, but we ended up capping them to try and get them to stop and pay attention after getting on them to cease fire in text and voice chat, and their only argument was they had 150 kills so the order to cease fire was pointless to them. Impressive yes, but like you said, kills are not everything and they were actively screwing over out commander that game. And then they get pissed a the commander when we lose.
I have the same issue with many big RU-vidrs covering the game, it brings many new players, however some of the issues with it is that many are misinformed or don’t do their research on the way gameplay is because they just see “haha funny ww2 realism shooter” instead of trying to learn the mechanics of the game
you can say it isn't cod or battlefield all you want, I see a ww2 fps, which tracks kills and deaths, and rewards with a fake level up system. Like, complain about people not playing the objective, but the game itself is kind of built for that mentaility.
It really isn’t, you can’t see other players kills nor deaths, and you don’t gain the most points from kills either. The name of the game is teamwork, it’s shown immensely by the amount of people who are in the matches who have microphones. Commander chat and squad chat and party chat all intermingling for a completely different experience. By your logic, Csgo is the exact same as Pubg since they are fps games. You cannot dumb a game down to only things such as what it tracks, as for the leveling system, it is simplistic and rewards veterans of the game because it takes large commitment to leveling even just sniper to level 3 to unlock the other weapons, let alone beyond level 6
@@kieranhurst8543 See, that is where you're just flat out wrong and it's obvious you haven't played the game. the "rewards" for the level up system isn't a better class/guns/equipment, it's a different playstyle for that class. For example, the AT class has 3 levels and each of them does something that the other can't, but it also comes at a cost. Level 1 gives you a rocket launcher which can kill armor (not Heavy Tanks) from a distance, but only has 2 shots. Level 2 has an AT Gun, which can kill any tank from a great distance, but is immobile and requires supplies. Level 3 gets 4 AT mines and a satchel, which can cripple tanks treads, rendering them immobile, making them easy satchel targets The game doesn't reward high kill counts anymore than it does doing objective actions (it rewards less, actually), nor does it punish deaths (outside of sending you to a respawn menu). You don't get a killstreak or anything for racking up kills like in CoD. You don't lose out on money like in CSGO. Sure, you can get points for killing the enemy, but you receive more points from defending the hardpoint, building garrison, building nodes, and driving supply trucks. You know, playing the objective. The game actively rewards team-based gameplay, not chasing kills and going sicko mode.
HLL is an awesome game and while this is a solid video, its not an accurate representation of the game. Communication is king, you need a mic. If you havent played before take the supplies class, you will be massively beneficial to your SL and the team while you learn the maps and the rest of the game. Edit - This is advice for anyone new to the game after seeing this video, have fun out there, beware the bush wookies.
2:20 That covered truck is a supply truck. It can only hold the driver, one passenger in the front, and two crates of 150 supplies each. The uncovered truck @ 2:37 is a transport truck, and that's for hauling troops to the front line.
@@gabrielkesshinsanchez9139 I've only played a wee bit and although there was a lot of bots it's a really good game, realistic damage and tanks and still got that arcade feel, really enjoyed it
Watching you guys run as a squad is actually pretty awesome. I love working together with a team in more arcadie shooters because you get more ridiculous firefights. But, especially at the end, this was pretty cool!
I prefer the gun physics in Post Scriptum. I would say HLL feels more arcade-y than PS. It is faster to get into action in HLL and it has a bigger community than PS which has really blead a lot of players. It's a bunner because I think the combat in PS is much better and more relaistic. For me I go quality over quantity, but I can see why folks prefer HLL.
You guys put in some work! Niko with the mg had me laughing! D was a hip fire headshot king. Nick was clutch with those rockets. Freddie was one hell of a fighter and a good laugh, honestly glad to see him back on node. This video was fantastic. Thank you!
@@commanderwyro4204 most AAA titles are too big to even try to replicate an experience like this because they would have to dumb down a lot of features to make things more streamlined, because tbh, most players are not smart enough to learn
@@Ren99510 It hits up to or close to 1,000 players weekly. It's a MilSim, they don't have large player bases, not even the most popular, highest selling ones do.
Hey D, remember that blocky siege game you guys used to play called “Due Process”? It’s gotten alot of updates now and I highly recommend revisiting it
You should really have face cams like in old Node days, I can tell you 100% this will make people way more interested in each gameplay vid. Makes every funny bit more funny too.
D how about DnD but play in Minecraft. Instead of table you will have infinite Minecraft world to explore. Just select your character and go on a nice little journey no-one has done that I would like to see if NODE can do it. Please
If you guys are still doing VR stuff, you should try a fun party game called Acron. One person uses the headset and up to 8 other people download an app and play on their phones against the VR player. It's a super fun game.
