I have a 2005 320i with over 200,000 miles on it. Every single thing works, no rattles, and would you believe, the original battery and exhaust system. It's truly a pleasure to drive. My other Bimmer is a 2014 535i with X Drive and the M performance package. It's loaded with features and has only 40,000 miles and also fun to drive, but I fear an expensive repair somewhere in the future, although, from what I've read, that car and engine package is very reliable. I'm currently shopping for a later model M5 or M6 car that is low millage, and still under factory warranty.
I feel like BMW is getting worse when my dad was looking at buying a f10 550i we saw a 2018 x3 at the dealership and it in all honesty opinion it was really cheap built inside plastic , all plastic, fake leather, turbos will probably breaks this is the reason why I love my 2003 BMW m- sport 540/6 speed and my e39 528i/5 speed Great channel by the way
Smurfin wrx Fake leather?? Have you watched the video or seen the reviews? The build quality is unquestionable. The issue is about reliability which has improved over the last 3 years.
OK, so this was in 2018. Now in 2020 you released a video stating that this B48 engine is really unreliable. Maybe update the description of this video to point to that one? Just a thought.
am I the only one with a 2018 330i here, well over 40k miles, not a single issue, driving it is a blast.BUT...... my lease is almost over idk if I should keep it and release it,I dont want to live through the Horror stories of a BMW? can anybody help.
I drive a BMW I'm very confused do you drive a BMW also and if so how in the hell are you able to say which is a good BMW and what is a bad BMW for 2018 how did you get these configurations
Hello, What do you think about 2011 535i? Do you think this is reliable car? What's common problems? I watch your video religiously. Thx for great videos.
Hi Cheul, Generally the 2011 535 is a decent car in terms of reliability. They are better than the older 535's such as an 09 as the N54 engine had specific problems around the high pressure fuel pump, turbos, wastegate, injectors, valve cover gaskets and the list goes on. The N54 was great for modifying and that is why there is a following on the earlier turbo motors. The N55 as in the 2011 535 is slightly less supported for the tuning market for various reasons, but that is OK because the later engine is more dependable than the earlier N54. But to answer your question, this car typically has less turbo issues and HPFP issues are not there. That being said, you may also find cars of this generation with the valve cover weeps, water pumps, but overall with good maintenance practices many of these issues can be reduced or eliminated all together.
Hi from all us BMW fans in New Zealand, Love your vids, Im buying a 2011 523i today , getting it check out today, only done 29,000ks so im hoping it will be a good reliable car for a while., Not easy to find any reviews on the 523i, 2011. May I ask how you feel about this car.? Anyone? streight 6 no turbo. thank you for your wonderful vids, William
Thanks a ton for following but i would generally say that as far as engine goes, any of the na straight six engines go they ar the most reliabile of any other BMW engines. Any mechanical machine can fail but generally you have one of the better engines. I also love the f10 chassis cars. Good luck and enjoy. Love to hear how things go for the long term
@@ECPP Iv'e been interested in a BMW so long i just want one with no major issues down the road like engine problems repeating over and over and i know parts for the cars can be expensive and it adds up overtime lol. I plan on paying mine out right i just wanna know if i'm getting the perfect one with no regrets and not so many problems
I don’t like the x1 since it’a based off of a mini. The new B engines have mechanical coolant pumps that are really shitty. But I do like the B engines a lot of power. Well see how reliable they are in a couple of years. From what I’ve seen it’s just little things that are annoying that aren’t reliable. G cars have a annoying problem with the seat mat. G Cars are still working out their problems. F cars are the most reliable as of now. Like every new chassis it has it’s problems.
How does the 440i compare in these? There are couple in Winnipeg that are 2018 ( not M cars but have some performance stuff on them) I'm also looking at 2015 435i with 25k. Reliability issues with those? I was thinking about s5 but watching your video I m saying away from them...2018 model in Winnipeg. They have said the bought it from vw canada...15k on it...thoughts would be appreciated. Trevor
Mark what dealer is this at with those Aweosme optioned 340? I have 2011 345 xdrive , water pump died 20k miles other than that solid - changing rear brakes first time at 40k miles
The 4 series seems to be the most reliable. Especially the 428i, did not heard alot of complain from the 4 series. And no the 4 series is completely different from the 3 series.
