The castle was Vlad's real home, not the tourist trap they always show on RU-vid in Bran where he didn't even live. I like that you showed that 👍. And the bears at the end 🐻😂😂😂, I think tourists and locals feed those bears on those roads which is why they were so docile.
Yeah, that's a shame. If tourists had more brains, they wouldn't feed the bears and bears would stay in woods where they belong. Lots of bears were killed recently because they entered villages and houses and hurt people. That happens when they get too cozy with humans.
No. The Poenari castle was used only as refuge in dire situations, just like Bran castle. Vlad's court was in Targoviste, and he also built a palace - "Curtea Veche" - in Bucharest, later the capital of Wallachia.
bro, Bran is not really a tourist trap man, everything we have in Romania is much more cheaper for example than a regular bar in London....and about the castle it's still really nice to visit even if it has nothing to do with Vlad Dracul

Its better or even best to see them just in the Zoo. In nature, they r wild animals and very dangerous, especially when a she-bear has cubs. Many ppl or some at least, especially foreigners, die by bear each year and the bears being on the side of the road is the saddest thing. They come there because of the humans and their huge amounts of food. Bears should be in the deep forests around, not on the side of the road. Its dangerous for ppl and sad for the bears :(
There is a lot more to see mate! We have the most beautiful cascade in the world ( unfortunately now its damaged due to nature force), salt mines, thermal lakes and incredible mountain views... Romania is big

Very beautiful! The eastern part of the country is beatiful too . That's where my city Iasi is located. The most important city - historically speaking - the cultural and historical capital of the country but also named a royal city. 😉✌❤
The creek n country side remind me of Canada’s summer! Nice bbq, Interesting winding serpentine road from valley to mountain top n down to the lake. It’s rather crowded, l haven’t seen such crowd for a long time ....having COVID restrictions here. O my, so free from wearing mask and SOP thing . No COVID there! So good and free! So much to eat there too, the chicken soup looks yummy. I can see that Steve Ivana gaining lb. Who wouldn’t? LoL....
Trust me, it was worse in Romania than in Canada, they had to wear masks literally everywhere, even on an empty street outside, older people had just a 3 hours window to go outside for a while… it was better here in Canada.
@@BadMitzi yes you are wright, but at the countryside those rules were not respected, was like nothing was happening, just the clubs were closed and thats it. I remember last year, we got outside more then we do now or in 2019, just to take a walk with friends, and do parties, and barbeques, that's because we had a lot of time.

Pick Villages from Transilvania. Here we have very old churces. You will like it. Pick the middle of romania. Around my town(Medias) are a lot of great villages. Mark was also here.
the village Viscri, its a wellpreserved transilvanian village and Prince Charles (uk) bought land and houses there and contributes to the preservation.
11:25 salted pig skin is like a snack...think of calamari rings...chewy texture with slight bacon-y taste...taste better over a fire because it makes the skin softer and melts the fat a little bit (like a smore over a campfire)
