I've said it before but I'll say it again: I LOVE that he doesn't constantly LOOK at what he's doing. He FEELS what he's doing. When I went through massage school, they frequently made us massage with lights off or blind folded. Look when assessing, feel when addressing.
If I could tell my younger self...don't lift weights to see how much you can lift, lift weights to keep your muscles in good balance with an eye on having a body and spine that will last you for the long haul. Stretching and movement are also important. So glad this young man got in to see Ed at age 20 instead of age 40. There is hope for improved and sustained health at that age.
Exactly..one mustn't lifts weights that is too much for him to handle..and stretching and warming up is really important b4 weight lifting..well for me thou..
I want to go to a chiropractor while I’m still young so bad /: people don’t seem to take you seriously when you complain of back pain as a younger person bc it’s seen as something only older adults deal with, but what they don’t realize is if you don’t take care of the back early in life, it will only get worse as you age! I don’t even understand why my back hurts but hopefully I can save up to see an amazing chiropractor like you doc! Thanks for all the work you do healing people :)
As someone young and working standing up the entire time i can recommend it, i go twice a year sometimes more and I also train my lower back more, it makes standing the entire day easy and painless.
Have you heard of The Joint? It’s a chain of chiropractic studios I’ve been going for 3 years now and it’s the best decision I ever made no insurance needed and it’s only $70 a month for 4 sessions
This chiropractor is amazing. He seems to take the time to understand the cause of the problem and then makes effort to resolve it. I’d pay to have a consult with him any day.
Hearing his voice quiver at the begining trying to describe his pain really touched home for me. You never know if the physician is going to take what you're saying seriously or try to doiwnplay it like you're exaggerating.
Went to the chiro today because I’ve had headeaches for about a week and I couldn’t turn my head to the left. I was in and out in 20 minutes and the chiro actually tried to sell the speed to me as a selling point. I’ll take what Dr. Ed is giving any day of the week over what I experienced today.
Yeah... I swear. I'm looking for a Chiro youtuber based in Colorado that I can try. All the ones I have been to are basically in and out and I don't really feel like anything was done.
I’ve been to a couple chiropractors and they all seemed to try and run through as many patients as possible. It’s more of a routine thing than getting to the route of the issue and teaching people how to properly take care of themselves. Seeing videos like this makes me wish all chiropractors were this knowledgeable and informative with their patients
I only have whatched less than a minute from this guy channel, and I feel he is very passionate about his job, he loves it, the way he explains stuff to the patient, the way he concentrates, his facial expressions makes me think he is very fond of what he is doing.
It’s really refreshing to see someone else with the same stretch marks going across their lower back as I have. I’ve been embarrassed about them my whole life.
I just wish I could see this doctor. I am in pain since 2014 after a car accident. I lost everything because of it my house, my job, my self esteem i ended up in salvation army with my wife and 4 children. I was standing still in front of a traffic light when someone got a black out and drove ther car in mine. Insurance company did not wanted to pay for the medical threathment. And I can not afford it myself so I am basicly stuck with a messed up neck, shoulder and arm. But I am happy for this guy that he gets the help he needed
I love watching people with clear and visible discomfort getting the proper care, thats more satisfying than just ASMR adjustments. Badass video and well done everyone in the video, taking that type of pain isnt easy
Strengthening the muscles which stabilise the shoulder and help retract the shoulders will help this young man with his poor control over his scapula. Further lengthening of the tissues is not a long-term fix. Building the mind-to-muscle connection using neuromuscular rep range exercises is what he needs.
I think I am more impressed with how much the patient knows about his own body. Obvioiusly experience from multiple visits to a doctor or chiropractor but still, impressive.
I have never tapped out during a session of massage therapy, but I have never had some of the muscles he’s having rubbed, ever even touched! This was so amazing to watch I almost felt it 💪🏼
Looks like the chiropractor is working on most of his knots. Are they suppose to do that or do you have to see a massage therapist for that? Great video Mr Mclaughlin. Please keep us updated on this young man progress.
OK...first, The way you explain this is perfect! I understood about 85% of what you were saying. You took time and cared for his issues. I'd like to see a part 2!
Best explanations of what is actually going on with people so they can geal themselves AFTER the session. Thus guy knows what he is doing and genuinely cares. Very thorough and will tell his patient the origin of the problem. Far more than just shocking cracks. A gem of a chiropractor!! Should be at a million followers. Dude is the real deal!!
This Chiropractor knows his stuff not just about adjusting people. I love a Doctor who can explain injuries and issues to their patients and how these things happen and how to fix them. I would totally trust this Chiropractor. P.S. the patient very attractive and physical and voice
Christ that looks so painful-I hope he continues to come for more seasons? The work the chiropractor did was not only amazing but would’ve been exhausting.
It really bothers me that there are so few chiropractors that take this level of care in their patients. My dad desperately needs a good chiropractor but they're just non existent in Illinois.
I haven’t seen a more in-depth video Thankyou. What would be more beneficial for relaxing the nerve? Like stretching and mobility work, ice bath sauna or massage tools
Omg I need this, I just realized I’ve been in 6 car accidents and never got adjusted. Explains why I’ve had a knot in my shoulder for about 6 years now
If you think that winging is bad, you should see mine. Ive had it in my left shoulder since ‘93 and my right since around 2000. Both long thoracic nerves are paralyzed (unknown autoimmune is their best guess). I suffer from severe lower back pain, but primarily because of aggravated nerves, not damage to the discs. I just had a total right hip replacement surgery last Monday because of pain in my hip and lower back. I’ll be 51 in June.if you’d be interested in discussing the anomaly that is me, I’d be interested in any new insights.
You are A MIRACLE WORKER! Wonderful relaxed disposition and you explain in DETAIL what's causing issues and HOW to resolve these issues! YOU ARE AMAZING! 😁😁😁😁😁😁
I've had a shoulder injury for about 8 years. Since I was 16 it judt got hurt, one time I went to hospital judt for a random seizure. My shoulders had judt spasmed and literally got me stuck in a position that I couldn't get out of. But generally my peft shoulder recently has started hurting so I need to go swimming. I used to swim without arm movements but first I started walking in the water to help the lower back then once the lower back was better, enough for me not to experience pain everytime I sat down or walked then I would work on the shoulder, but either one is quick to come back for some reason, but I think I should carry on swimming than more than a few weeks.
I need to look into something like this, I have had winged scapula for over 5 years, very severe. Might even be worse than your patient. It affects my entire right shoulder down to my right arm. Weakness and atrophy extending into my long head of my bicep and tricep. I have strengthed it alot by building muscle around the area but it has never healed.
It may be just the perspective from the camera, but I feel like I see a significant difference in the size of his left arm and the right. Appreciate these videos doc.
I've been having similar maybe even worse winging on my right side for over 3 years now, I feel this guy's pain and discomfort. It really hinders your mobility and progress through even most simple tasks of your life. Hope one day I manage to fix it
No shoulder injuries here...but my arch in my left foot has collapsed so my left hip likes to drift further up raising it 2 inches higher. Add on scoliosis in my upper back between my scapula and a Chiropractor is a godsend to me.
I've always been able to move my shoulder blades, and protrude them out MUCH further than we saw here. But it has never hurt, I've always been flexible in my arms, and there's no clicking or crunching involved. Should I care about that?
I fell in the shower broke 4 ribs (6 weeks in a sling) AND because my arm was outstretched trying to grab the curtain I landed on my underarm (pit) I have the same symptoms as this young man. But, i also had 18 months frozen shoulder AND 12 months on the opposite shoulder VERY PAINFUL! Years of many different treatments final one was with a physiatrist diagnosed CSS (Central Sensitization Syndrome) i call bull doctors could not be bothered putting in the effort. 😊 thank you for showing this
I need to see this guy immediately I have insecurities about playing football again when I was a senior in high school my football team went 10-1 we lost our last game sadly but 3 games before we lost I fell shoulder straight towards the ground and my shoulders never been the same since .
As a 32 year old women who doesn’t work out he has the same problems of knots as me. I always have pain and knots on my deltoids, shoulder blade, upper shoulder all of it! Years no matter how much massages I get since i was young still hurts! I do get a lot of anxiety which I think caused me to tense a lot.
This was so excellent to watch. When the patient pushed his shoulders out it reminded of watching Bruce Lee with my dad and all his shoulder and back crunches he would do in the movies 😆 I should find a clip and share it lol
People always asked why I don't like "getting big" you don't need all that muscle bruh. I always preferred a fit, fluid body. Over a robotically maneuvered person. If you get me. I like being comfy. Long as I can lift over my weight (minimum 1.5x) im fine. I don't need to lift 3x my weight.
First time seeing your channel. 👍 I watch alot of Chiros. This is very informative video, I love learning about how bodies work. This guy, bless him, that looks SOOOO painful, but wow...so thankful he got some help and relief this day!!! ❤️ What a tough/strong/brave patient, hurts living with it, hurts fixing it. 😬
i want to thank you a lot for all these explanations i started to identify all my similar problems i spent a lot of money and time for no result and no one give to me all this information, i hope that guy recover to thaaanks.
