Agreed with other commenters - getting these stories from the owners has become my favorite part of the series by a mile. Share a pint and settle in for a wonderful tale of a life.
What a gent Billy was, pity it wasn't longer, could listen to him tell stories all day. One day we wont have any characters like that left in this country
What a great aul fella. Having the chats with the owners is adding a whole new dimension to the videos. Also gives us viewers an even better insight into Irish pub culture. I now come to the video for 2 reasons, not just the Guinness.
Stellar aerial shots. Really taking a jump as an interviewer, too. Seeing places most will never see and talking w the owners is an added dimension. Well done.
My wife and I have been to both as part of our exploration of your island. Both Farren's and O'Sullivans are brilliant! Great pubs for locals and tourists alike.
Love hearing from the pub owner, especially when the history of the pub is interesting! Really good addition to the videos when you do them for spots like this!
Irish pubs looks absolutely fantastic. Here in Los Angeles everyone is taking pictures trying to become in influencer. I wish I could find a bar here that seems relaxing as yours.
They really are, you should book a trip and head over, its less expensive than you think! (I just did 2 months ago from the states, incredible country and people, polite and smart)
What a great character, that’s what it’s all about. Should do more content like this, interviewing all the different characters in some of these remote pubs - and maybe a touch longer too 🌝
Great content, I really enjoy the interviews with pub owners they are always interesting and you look very relaxed when you do this type of video.Never seen Murphy’s on draft in my part of England!
I would love to go there and stay for a couple of weeks in winter, I like cold weather, a nice fire and a few drams to cheer the soul, I expect the prices are astronomical these days, but nice thought!
Murphy’s has always been my go to pint but since Covid it has been hard to come by on tap near Boston Also I do enjoy Beamish and that is impossible to find here
Where you flying in from?I’m from Manchester UK but live in Castlebar Co Mayo where John McHales pub does a great pint of Guinness. Not sure what pubs have a good Guinness in Ballina.Enjoy though 👍
@Jay D flying from Heathrow to knock Jay. My dad's a Mayo man so staying with him for 3 weeks , plenty of time to check out different pubs. We've tried a couple in Galway and claremorris .
