Honestly? You could've gone for Asia. One hold on the Alaskan capital, and two holds on Ukraine and the Middle East. Would've probably been a pretty great play.

Might've been a bit too greedy for other players to stomach that. People generally aggro onto people who hold the biggest bonus on the map.

Dang, that guy had some crazy luck. He only lost 36 troops to a 76 cap. That's nuts. Edit: I calculated the average troop loss, and that is 129, crazy

If I were red, I would have tried to secure south America, it had caps defending each side

I am no Risk expert, but when you are ahead in troops it should be statistically better to force him to attack you anywhere instead of hiding on your caps and attacking his cap. The entire rest of the board was a 3 point hold against red. If you forced him to attack inot any defenses the return would of been almost equal instead of the 1->10 returns you got in attacking his cap.

i'm pretty sure capitals have 2x the troops than normal meaning that red had 218 troops there instead of 109

Too late in the game to think of bonuses and generally asia is more of a card trade contenent in this map, he'd get targeted by everyone of he rushed asia unfortunetly
