@dylanness2333 I hate to disagree. I'll always support Charles but As of right now Gamrot would beat Charles. Gamrot has 0 Offense. But incredible wrestling better than Arman. Charles can't strike. Charles will be too afraid 😨 to use his knees kicks and Muay Thai because he doesn't want to get taken down by a wrestler. So it becomes a striking contest. They are Equal. Both Below Average Striking. Charles has Power in his hands but can't hit A Parked Car. So yes Gamrot wins by control time. Unless Charles trains with khamzat and learns how to roll and get-up and for once hires an American striking coach and professional Boxer to train with. If not. Charles will lose like he always does against Wrestlers.

Yeah, it makes no sense, especially after seeing Strickland 5-0 Izzy. Alex never did that, and lost majority of his rounds vs Izzy. So Izzy will always have a chance vs Alex, but we don't know if he can make the right adjustments vs Strickland until he proves it.

Shavkat is way better than Volk or max. Volk has hit his decline and absorbed a lot of damage at the same time which really will facilitate it and I love Max but he’s a volume striker. Max looks good against guys who only have standup (except for Poirier) but any fighter with great grappling would make short work of Max. Gaethje is so overrated I knew he was gonna piece up Gaethje from the start. Gaethje does nothing but duck his head down and wing his punches and sometimes mixes in kicks. He’s so predictable yet people think he’s amazing smh. Sorry but Max gets slaughtered by a grappler like Makachev. Probably gets knocked unconscious by a guy like Ilia as well. He pieced up a slow CTE riddled Gaethje wow how impressive.

I agree, when fighters move up they do for the most part have a speed advantage. I definitely would chalk that up to training style. If a fighter trains to dodge punches that are lightning quick, and they bulk up, and lose 5% of speed, that speed really doesn't even matter. That also applies to grappling.

People suggest Oliveira's nightmare would be a fighter with strong submission defense. However, he's faced top lightweights with solid defense before. The real challenge for Oliveira (and most fighters) would be those with exceptional control, like Makhachev and Tsarukyan, who excel in that aspect.

Alex vs Jairzinho and Ciryl would be amazing, considering they all have a kickboxing background. I heard Alex in his off season has been seen 265 pounds. That makes him literally a heavyweight.
