It’s so great to see such quality of care for his patient. Very few chiropractors, physical therapist, even massage therapists would do the muscle work it takes to achieve the joint mobility needed to cure a misalignment. Amazing!

Losing insurance coverage was the best thing that ever happened to my pain and mobility issues because it lead me to my wonderful chiropractor instead of the surgery I was scheduled for. Turns out I had a double curvature compressing multiple nerves. That was 10 years ago and I feel better than I have in my entire adult life❣️

@HappyMSI1

A big part of the patient's problem is psychological when he doesn't know enough about his condition : explaining the source, the processus thus what it is, and what could and shouldn't happen as well as telling him that his situation is not definitive (even if it's not totally and perfectly curable) has a BIG impact ont the patient's condition and is something that should be practiced as seriously and automatically as the intervention.

5 years ago I tore my rotator cuff in the left shoulder. I did not go to the DR for a couple months as I thought it would heal. I wore a sling for almost 2 months until I realized I now had a "stuck" shoulder. I went to a Guasha practitioner in San Fran. The result was very similar to this, immediate became red. It hurt like nothing I've ever experienced. That was the 1st time I lifted my hand above my head. It was the 1st time the blood flowed into the area. I did several treatments over the course of a couple months. Though that was only the beginning of my healing journey, it was a crucial step. 5 years later and many treatments & modalities I avoided surgery,& have full range of motion and am at 90-95% strength. Thanks to this technique I was able to begin the healing process.

Dr. Ed, I wish that I could see you! I have been living in horrendous pain since 2011 and I have missed out on some of the best years of my life. I could not play with my children as they grew up, we could not take family trips, as the pain crippled me to the point that I spend much of my day in bed, and I had to give up my job. I have no quality of life, but I believe that you are exactly the type of practitioner that I need. I have no movement, my posture is stuck and the pain and tightness makes it impossible to take anything other than a shallow breath. I am beyond desperate for help. Unfortunately I live on Vancouver Island in B.C. Canada. I have not been able find a Chiropractor here with similar skills. I have not found anyone here who does scraping, which I feel so strongly would help tremendously to start releaving some of the toxins currently stored in my body. I really feel like you could help me.

It's called Gua sha in Chinese, or Keroken in Indonesia. It's an old treatment, but what it does is it exposes leftover damaged cells and toxins trapped in your muscle tissues, and by bruising those places again, you're directing your body's attention to those areas, showing them there's more work to be done, thus healing it. Other places have different names for it, but it's been used in Chinese traditional medicine for hundreds of years.

Where can I get a treatment like this? Every chiropractor I’ve gone to would just crack me and send me on my way. The problems wouldn’t go away and if I got any relief, it would just come right back a day later... Ive had two traumatic head injuries: one when I was 3 and one when I was 5. Im 21 now and as I’ve gotten older over the last 10 years or so I’ve always had severe migraines or tension headaches that are almost completely unbearable. I feel like I’m being yanked into the fetal position and my skin has been pretty bad. I also was diagnosed with kidney disease when I was 8 and I’ve been on dialysis with renal failure for 2 years now. If anyone knows where I could go around the Southern California/ Orange County area it would be greatly appreciated!!

The other day I got a severe pain under my shoulder blade by just one bad move. It just left me without air. I almost couldn't go on the floor. The pain hunched me in a weird position. I remembered I have a small ball, I used it as trigger point ball, I went on the floor, adjusted this ball right to the pain and just pressed it on the spot with full weight of the body, just lying on it. It hurt like hell, almost yelled because of the pain, after 20min I tried to stretch, did some spine, legs and arms stretching and then again using the ball. Hurt like hell. I used heating creams and used heating bottle to warm the spot the whole night so fluids were flowing faster. The next day I was almost fine. I just stretched again, used the ball again to the maximum of the pain, used heating creams and heating bottle through the night and after that it was all good. The whole week after this event my bones were cracking all the time, LOL. When you hear your bones cracking, then you are fine, you've managed the pain well. If you get pains like that, just don't be scared to use some force to get it out. Hurts like hell, but it's the only way.

In indonesia we call this method as "kerokan". Instead of guasha we used a penny coin and some menthol infused ointmet as lubricant.
