The only really comparing was their similar appearance and alternative rap. I promise you if Travis stuck with the short hair there would be no comparisons.
@@joememes4 hair barely even look the same.. Travis got a widddde ass double hairline.. bro like 10 years over due for a re grow.. it's cause they both black
Ngl, I heard of this beef before too.. idk where, but I always assumed if you confuse them both it's just cause you're lowkey racist.. cause they literally don't look the same or dress the same, voices and flows don't sound alike atall, even beat selection completely different... I even understand if someone doesn't listen to hip hop... but it's no excuse.. it's like confusing Miley Cyrus & Katy Perry because they're both white pop stars..
@@Noneofyourbusiness194 we are hip hop fans... WE understand they are different. But to someone who mostly listens to pop I promise you can convince that the same guy that made everyday made something like 90210
What's hilarious is that they are now two sides of the same coin. Both were in the alternative rap lane, both are in fashion, both had kids with billionaires, both have impacted newer gen hip-hop.They should drop whatever "beef" they have (media created or not) and drop a collab album. Both would win
@@Akachi_ Obviously, but Asap’s music compared to Travis’s is boring, being a better artist doesn’t mean being the best rapper. J cole is better than Asap on that but Asap is a better artist
Better artist? No. Better rapper? Yes. There’s so much that goes into a song besides just rap and bars. Travis songs are just more interesting… usually.
I wonder why no one on “MELTDOWN” off Utopia sees this bar (N****s talkin’ Scarface, I’m that in real life) as a shot at Rocky, referencing his “Babushka Boi” single from 2019
Travis got early influence from Rocky, Cudi, and Kanye. Kanye literally said it himself, and that he likes the originators. When Travis came out, he was definitely a product of Rocky’s influence but he’s made his own lane for himself now. People are forgetting how colossal A$AP Rocky was at his peak.
@@Oxymera Y’all stay tryna play this card when it’s just not true🤣 Back in 2011, NOBODY was putting on/paying homage for Houston except Rocky. He put the culture back on the map (grillz, lean, chopped&screwed vocals). His sound was so fresh because it incorporated so many different influences, not just Houston. What rappers from the Houston were using triplet flows (which influenced the Migos) while rapping on Clams Casino and Danger Mouse beats? Barely anything about early Travis’s music(owl pharaoh) was Houston influenced. It was majorly inspired by Yeezus era Kanye and Kid Cudi. It wasn’t until A$AP Mob started that movement that Travis started to make more music inspired by the dirty south(DBR). Rocky opened a lot of doors for this new generation but y’all forgot so quickly it’s crazy.
@@free9ondo Rocky took from Houston culture, that’s a fact. Travis is born and raised in Houston, also a fact. I’m not saying Rocky copied Travis. I actually don’t think they have many similarities besides the hair. But you mentioned that Rocky influenced Travis when that was not the case. He was raised by Houston culture. Travis was influenced primarily by Kanye, Cudi, Yung Lean, etc.
@@Oxymera You legit just repeated the same thing in your last message which I just debunked. I just gave you all the facts. Trav and Rocky are great artists but one walked so the other could run, if you can’t see that idk what to tell you
The two artists have already done so much to drastically change their style in their fashion, hair, and their music While also trying to achieve different goals Trav wanting to be the biggest ever and making the highest quality music, while Rocky is passed on becoming the biggest and trying to re-invent his music and make something that's not the most traditional hip-hop sound with his own twist🔥
@whybetrayerispoison5413 that's all I've rly been saying. To someone who is not a hip hop fan or only vaguely knows what they look like rocky and trav are very similar
Rocky and Travis are two different people but what I can say is trav lowkey did take visual inspiration from lad and put it in butterfly effect but then again trav did his own thing
-As far as comparisons they just both have braids, they dont sound or dress alike at all. -The tension started with Mike Dean callin out the Mob on twitter for "biting" Houston and Trill culture. -Rocky felt he shoulda been on Trav's song Uptown with Ferg -Trav dissed him on the OG version of Never Catch Me Theres other things too Im leaving out but those are the big issues
i b gettin both of them confused sumtimes😂😂for years everytime i think of one i think of the otha one. for no reason they look like they can b related frfr
There will be absolutely no beef that stems in the next 2 years. Rocky will retire after this album to focus on his family and Travis will do whatever else he is planning to do. It is that simple
that intro clip is out of context isn’t it, i swear asap jus says yeah then yeah again but the interviewer asks him about it and asap like hell no that stuff isn’t true
I just can't believe a New York native can sample Texas music and draw multiple influences from Texas for his albums/persona, AND people say the dude from Houston, Texas stole the New York dudes identity.. lol seems a bit silly.
It would be a funny af beef because as earlier said, neither focus too hard on lyricism so it would be some crazy ass sound with the weakest disses you’ve heard (I love both so I’m not saying that negatively)
Don't hear these stupid people bro. We real Travi$ fans know that Travis at some point was Rocky's doppelganger and dressed the same as him with the flannel shirts and Jordan 1's and the music in 2014 was just tinted with a Rocky feel to it up until even he changed his name from Travi$ to Travis just so he can distance himself from falling into the Rocky comparison debates and also because he met Kanye so he will never fail and I also thought at some point in time that Rocky was on Rodeo on 3500 when he said "good lord" but didn't see it because they never made up for their shadow beef and yh good video!
there are 1:1 fits, that travis wore months after rocky, just google. not saying travis stole his whole style from rocky, but flacko definitely inspired his fashiongrind.
Flacko always give flowers to his influences not just screwston but three6 too, my argument would be how much colder they both are than everyone else (apart from pglang imo)
asap ferg said travis was weird wehn he came around them but at some point he wanted to be around them then stole an image he already had the sound tho and that why rocky probably has also never used auttune on his vocals
You're not about to tell me some of those danger mouse beats don't sound like something travis would be on. My point is that NON hip hop fans would think they're similar
let me tell you like this, the smoke always starts with the fans and the fans direct it to the artists why?… because they can’t find a solution or a conclusion to end it all, so they rather see two dogs fighting to entertain themselves. in other words… fans are stupid.
I wouldnt say steal, they just both like the same style of clothing and theres nothing bad about it, let them wear what they want. I am buying shit that someone else buys too, should I say I am stealing? Nah I am just fresh as fuck just like my neighbour and I would never hear him say I am stealing his style
im not saying theyre "beefing" but theres definitely something brewing. They cant be that cool if they havent made any songs together yk. but dont be surprised when it happens in a few yrs
@@KingBenny Rocky has said multiple times that he fw travis and they've never dissed and nothing is brewing. Rocky's latest songs have not been dissing trav they been dissin drake. About the not making any songs together, idk what to say but I feel as if the public has jus made it awkward for them to collab atp. I genuinely don't think they finna beef any time
@@qtYuppt and I do think thats a fair take to a certain point but idk... im more so 50/50 on whether they rly are cool or not. Like they dont even have a picture together and whenever trav is asked ab trav he basically says "yeah he copied my style but i take it as a compliment"
@@KingBenny There is nothing brewing. You want there to be something to entertain you. They don't bother each other, diss each other or nothing. Rocky said he's cool with Travis. There are pictures of them hanging out a few times over the years.
@@mical7582 theres like two pictures of them hanging out from years ago. And idk... im personally 50/50 on it but I'm not gonna act like "you stole my style, you stole my flow so i took your bitch" doesnt apply to Travis Scott. And ofc it could be directed at Drake but idk... its not that much of a stretch to say it is a Trav diss
I really don’t like the idea of them beefing. I was there for both’s beginnings; Owl Pharaoh and Live. Love. A$AP. Yea the braids came in, and some of the style in terms of clothing, but that to me always seemed like a continuation of Cudi’s style early on i.e. the flannel shirts, skinny jeans, and hipster aesthetic. I think Rocky brought more of the designer to it, but that was always in hip hop. Sound wise they’re different, Rocky gives you the wordplay/raps with stellar production, while Travis gives you the vibes/energy with stellar production as well.
They both represent being unorthodox while embracing the luxury lifestyle, fashion, women, gang affiliations and drugs that comes with being a fly rapper. Musically they in different lanes, both inspire a generation and hate being compared to each other. I doubt they like each other out of natural competition. One thing for sure though, Travis was inspired by A$ap when he first came out.
