I bought a Rossi r92 tripple black in 38/357, it's an awesome utility tool, these models are well made, quality materials. Cycle's smooth out of the box. Excellent in thick brush. I added a red dot. Thanks for the video.
I am a gunsmith and it is impossible to get parts because they are made in Brazil and their customer service people are less than helpful. I had a customer bring in a well used Henry that was 15 years old and would not eject the spent cartridge. Henry lifetime warranty’s the gun, not the owner. They determined the gun was not repairable and sent me a new gun for the customer. Rossi would never do this and you play hell getting them to fix the guns that should be warranted. If they drop a firearm from their lineup, that will not service it and they don’t stock parts for it. This my option and you can decide what to buy for yourself. But, do you want a gun made in Brazil of one made in America like a Marlin or a Henry.
The Rossi Gallery is my next firearm. Only for the great memories of carrying that as a kid. And all those tasty Rabbits & Squirrels. And other tasty things.
It used to be that to buy an R92 was to buy a project. For the last few years, though, Rossi has really upped its quality. I daresay the quality now approaches that of the Henry's.
I have always said that the Rossi R92 is a great “working man’s levergun”. They have a much lower price point than Winchester and have the same action as the 1892.
