What a wonderful treat: two of my favorite jrpg-focused RU-vidrs, Ircha and Britta, making a video together! Sending lots of love from Portland, Oregon, USA! 💜💜💜
I was so INCREDIBLY happy to see you pick and highlight bug fables, I adore that game to absolute bits. Its so fun the play its so cute and the character writing and team dynamics between the three leads is great!
🎉 so happy to be apart of this project! 2014?! Omg it does feel like a lifetime. I'm definitely gonna check out more of MissBubbles and SumkindofGaming. MJR is legend and I love Food4Dogs she's inspiring!
@@Cozyathomegaming You could ask her why she watches soap operas, they're SO boring and have no purpose since they're stories without an ending, they just keep going and going.
Really loved the video and that you included so many different people, especially small channels. There's just a lot of great games on the switch! Hope you make another of these videos. Love from a fellow Norwegian
I absolutely loved Rain Code! I preordered the special edition because I was so hyped for it and then had to wait a week longer to get it,but it was absolutely worth all the hype I had built up for it. Glad to see others who also enjoyed it
@Food4Dogs Love Miss Britta/Food4dogs. Advertised Baten Kaitos better than BandaiNamco care to do. Steam PC version was released yesterday on the 18th with no warning from Bandai. It's like they don't want it to make money.
@ircha I discovered your channel way back when you did your metal jesus impersonation. I love your content and am not surprised to see that you like the same other creators I do, food4dogs and miss bubbles. Thanks for this video, great list.
I loved Dragon Quest Builders 2!! I also really enjoyed the way the story was told in Ni No Kuni 2. The combat is easy but loved the way the story was told.
When it comes to a hidden gem or underrated game it has to be astral chain. It's a very amazing title that I feel like went under the radar for a lot of people. There's also Smelter and Azure Striker Gun Volt but those I didn't think are switch exclusive.
Completely agree with Dragon Quest Builders 2. What a great game. DQB1 was so good too, but 2 was amazing. Gee people, if you somehow haven’t played it, do yourself a favor.
my favorite thing about this video is i owned all the main games mentioned! i was looking for something i already owned to give another try and Food4dogs sold me on giving baiten kaitos another try!
Amazing video and collaboration! I've played a lot of Nintendo Switch games that deserve more recognition, I'll mention some games. Avaliable in physical format: -Penny-Punching Princess -Mad Rat Dead -Severed Steel -Voez -Marsupilami - Hoobadventure Only available in digital format (sadly...): -Hopping Girl Kohane (I still haven't played the sequel) -Lanota -A Maiden Astrologer Divines the Future
I'm incredibly thankful that so many of these games have physical releases. I like the discord entries at the end, especially whoever mentioned Raincode. Its getting a PS5 physical and Collector's edition which is really cool. I personally thought Raincode would be more of a hit since mystery and detective like games seem like theyd do really well on Switch. Fun video collab!!!
So happy to see you use my suggestion (Master Detective Archives: Rain Code) literally one of the my unique games I have ever played and I am so excited it's going to come to other platforms! It's already such a gorgeous looking game and can only imagine the finer details it'll get once released on other platforms! Glad it's getting another opportunity to shine
All the Dragon Quest spinoffs, builders 2, Treasures and Monster Dark Prince. They’re all super good and got not enough love. Also, my all time favorite, Octopath Traveler 2. It changed me as a gamer honestly. It didn’t get the credit it deserved. Oh my god yeah I also agree with master detectives archives rain code. Had a blast with that game and NO ONE talks about it!
Cheers for including my comment ✌️ PLAY SAKUNA. 👀 Nice to see lots of Dragon Quest Builders 2 love too. Like Miss Bubbles, I have done some of my own content to influence a DQB3 happening... I don't have my hopes up lately but I would love to see it.
Cat Quest 1&2! More people need to play them, especially now that Cat Quest 3 is coming out really soon. My other pick would be Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. Don't be alarmed by the number, the Ys series can be started at any of the games as all stories are quite self contained.
You know a game is good when its on a list twice! Dqb2 is one of my favorite games of all time, next to skyrim, and ni no kuni 2. I still need to get paper mario ttyd for switch, i played it on game cube, so glad its on switch now!
THANK YOU for highlighting SkyForce! I have played through this on Switch, PS4 and now started on SteamDeck. I want a physical of this so bad on Switch though.
Skyforce Reloaded and the first Dragon Quest Builders are two of my all-time favorite games on the Switch!! Great shout outs. Haven't played the second DQB, but I really need to get on that!
I feel like more people need to try OneShot which is on the switch. Originally it was a free game that gave you just One Shot (hence the title) to play through it, but the switch/console version has the option for multiple play through so you can see more endings. It’s a puzzle adventure game, and I don’t want to say too much because I think it’s better to experience yourself. It’s not super long either, and easy to pick up and play in shorter bursts…which as a mom of a toddler was appreciated.
I love the No More Heroes series and they are all currently available for the Switch! I'm very hopeful Travis Touchdown will be a playable Smash Bros character in the future. I highly recommend picking up those games. Nobody knows what they are, but those that do absolutely love them.
Thank You for good recommendations and great team work! DioField Chronicle feels the most common of these games I played it as free trial demo version and have it in the list of summer time games.
Gato Robotto is one of my favourite games for switch also! The boss fights are awesome! Not too hard or huge either which is a bonus. Don't have time for massive metroidvanias these days! Great choice and good to see it get some deserved love 👍🏽
I would pick the cat quest games,I figured they were going to be crap but really enjoyed them, new one should be coming out soon. I loved dragon quest builders, played though it multiple times, always funny when everyone is in line waiting to use the single bathroom. Never played it on the switch not sure if its going to be horrible on that tiny screen
This list contains a lot of great games that need more attention and I strongly agree about Master Detective Archives: Raincode. I plan on buying it again when it is released on the PS5 and I might go for the Limited Edition Release. Another Switch game that is underrated is the Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster. People complain about certain features that they wanted that aren't included, but they don't give credit to the new features it contains. Even if it didn't include everything one had hoped for, it is still the best way to play one of the greatest games of all time.
Great (!) video, great collab, especially happy to see foodfordogs here! There are sooo many underrated games (my whole channnel is about indie games and gadgets most people might not know). I would definitely add the Siralim series, void terrarium 1 and 2, heroes of hammerwatch, Hero Land and in other waters among many more to that list
Atelier Ryza (all 3 but especially 2) are hardly ever talked about and I loved them so much. Would have never known about them without your reviews! Amazing characters, story, music, colorful landscapes, and fun battle system. Perfect to just relax with.
Ur still my favorite reviewer Irene! And yes astral chain is very, very underated. It was the first game i bought for my switch oled on a whim and i was blown away by it. Its definatly one of the best games out there😊
Shiren The Wanderer The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island I feel is a very underrated game and also Daemon X Machina. Also Fuga Melodies of Steel 1 and 2, excellent games that definitely need more love and also hopefully a physical release someday,I definitely would buy them again because they are that good
I was so happy when you mentions ni no kuni it’s one of my favorite games ever. I told my brother to play big fables because I seen and thought he would like it but never played myself I should give it a try.
I've recently went back and played Astral Chain, but I really wish that Tails of Iron got more love. Most people I tell about it have never heard of it.
Awe love this concept for a video! I love hearing peoples opinions on games that not many people know about! I always find some gems!! I loved Epic Chef! I laughed so much and got addicted to the game play! One of my favs! And also Garden Paws! I sunk so many hours into that! ❤😊
2 hidden gems I actually enjoyed are; Metagal and Metaloid origin as someone who has never played any 'Megaman type' games, these had a challenging yet rewarding learning curve that felt really satisfying once familiar with the playstyle/mechanics They were also pretty cheap on eshop sale 😊
Thank you for recommending DQB2. I noticed you made a video about your replay on PS5, but I somehow missed it. More than anything, this reminds me of Fantasy Life(Level5) coming up in October on the Switch and that’s still four months away. For that reason alone your guests (and you in your separate video) piqued my interest. I had no clue about DQB2, thank you.
It's awesome that the Prinny Presents compilations got a mention! With the Direct announcement that Phantom Brave is getting a sequel maybe NIS games will get a bit more of the credit they deserve!
Death’s Door is an amazing game I never see on people’s lists.. top down Zelda style with such great soundtrack and the Autumn vibes are so cool! One of my top games EVER..
Sky Force Reloaded is super overlooked on Switch. Glad to see it getting some attention. There are so many underrated games on Switch, I could list dozens. I think if I had to pick one it would probably be Dysmantle. It's both relaxing and, at times, challenging, and it's so rewarding to upgrade your tools and flatten everything around you. It's one of those games I go back to at least once a year, because there's really nothing else like it.
I played Nino Kuni because of you! A couple years back and it’s by far my fav game I ever played!! So thank you for that! It’s a masterpiece! And made me sad when I finished it.
I agree with Metal Jesus, Sky Force Reloaded is no masterpiece but it is addictive for sure... unfortunately no physical in EU. In the US Limited Run published some copies but right now u can only buy digital and that's a no for me. And yep Astral Chain is definitely underrated.
I thought these would be Switch exclusives, but almost all the games listed here are on other platforms where they play infinitely better. I'd suggest picking them up and playing them on Xbox, PC, or PlayStation instead.
