It’s a stunning watch. I have one in grey with the light brown leather strap. It’s the most comfortable watch I’ve ever worn. Full of character and charm. At first glance, the dial is simple effortless, but on closer inspection you notice all the markings and small detail Oris added, and you really start to appreciate the work they put into it. It’s by far my favourite watch, and I am yet to find anything else that even comes close. To say it’s an underrated watch is in itself an understatement. I for one think that makes it extra special.
This watch is far cheaper than when it first came out. I grabbed the grey model because I liked the look and size. It’s a nice watch. It won’t gain in value but I don’t plan on selling. It’s a great everyday watch and does have a vintage feel without the risks.
I'm so excited!! I just now purchased the Movember Chronoris 🥳. My personal holy grail. First time paying 1k+ for a watch. Never thought I would pull the trigger.. Can't wait for it to arrive. I'm liking the grey distressed leather band. Great review and the watch will become a classic again.
I adore this watch. I have the black dial version and it’s wonderful. Really feels like a vintage watch. When I wear it I feel like I need a 70’s jacket and 70’s style running shoes;)
Thank you for reviewing this! The Chronoris has long been one of my favorites and I wish it got the attention it deserves. Hopefully this review will help change that. Great job!
Great review and as always nice showcase of fitting straps! I already bought two watches during the last years after I saw your reviews of them. You have a great sense for special and pretty unkown watches of known brands in the watch world. Keep it up & thanks a lot! All the best from Germany
Gorgeous watch from a great manufacturer don’t know why it’s underrated it’s great looking and Oris are a great company...it would look cool in any collection..
I got this from hodinkee for usd 1950 and then paid usd 350 as taxes… not sure whats the cost now though my credit card limit exhausted lol i was in love with this watch and its a real nice one…
Silly question, but can you tell me what jacket you're wearing at the end of the video? I love the face of the Oris, the hands, dial, and that timer ring. The case shape is the only thing that doesn't do much for me.
I was looking into this one and really liked the design. I was so disappointed when I went to use a Chronograph pusher and it wasn’t there. The one with the pusher is a LOT more expensive. So I found a vintage one from the 1970’s that was still functional at less than half the price. Another vintage to consider (that I own) if you like the design is the 1970s JLC Master Quartz. Two really fun vintage watches that combined cost me less than the price of the modern Chronoris.
Great watch. There is much more colour choice in the Aquis, Pointer Date, and 65 ranges. Wish Oris would release a matte blue version, as with some 70s examples.
I really do like the watch but can't help that feel it's priced a little high for what it is. I know they are a different style of watch, but for example you can buy a Glycine with the same movement (which has also been regulated), screw down crown, sapphire, 20ATM water resistance for under $500. I know this has a nicer dressed up dial with applied indices and better finished case, but is that really worth an extra grand? I suppose to some it is. Really nicely put together review though. Cheers.
Its not underrated , it is just over priced. For 2k you can definitly get much better watch that doesnt have Selita at least. So if it was like 1k new, and like 600 used would be great watch to have.
