I was in Kratie back in Jan with a friend. Had dinner out on the street in a vender area...We were offered marriage by a woman selling us spring rolls...and then she told us she had three kids. She did have a diamond in her tooth which was a substantial upgrade. The next morning while walking through the market we met a little girl named, "Gabby" who spoke perfect english and we ate an early lunch at her families food stall...we had a great meal! Kratie is an interesting place for sure.
Hey Ryan, I've been watching lots of stuff on your channel. It's all great. I'm going to be in Cambodia by about September/October this year after an epic train journey from Singapore to Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, China, Vietnam and Cambodia. I'll keep watching and maybe we can catch up in Phnom Penh.

Like to watch you guys getting around. I was there for only a week - few days each in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. I knew at the time there was so much more to visit, so these help me for planning my next visit. Other than a couple of fantastic, but grueling days at the temples in Siem Reap, I really enjoyed the old capital, Oudong. My son and I were the only foreign tourists there. What a view from the hilltop - many of the pictures we took don't look real - they look like painted postcards.
Kratie is actually “craw-jeh” in Khmer. I’m not sure why this Khmer name is so off phonetically. My guess is French influence. So it might sound more like the Khmer name if you pronounce it with a French accent (?) 😂
