The one dog made watching the sox in the early 90s exciting. Lance was a spark plug every game. Lefty, leadoff, roamed center, but my fondest memories were of him rounding first and thinking to myself... " go for 3" and he would, often. Made the game exciting to the point, I didn't want to miss the beginning of an "away" game cuz he was starting it off. To me, triples are an underrated convenience in the sport especially with less than two outs. And he was the best at the time. You won't see that from ANYONE in this lineup today. Not even 88. Current favorite player btw And to all you Crede fans out there, you ain't wrong!

All the White Sox have anymore is nostalgia trips. Maybe it’s fun for people who were alive at the time to see these guys, but it’s just names for everyone else. This organization needs to start looking forward and stop dwelling in the previous century. Sell the team

I have two players one old and one current who deserve more love than get especially from the current front office. The first, known more for his offfield activities than his baseball is Moe Berg. He got his start with the Sox . Outside of his play on field he was the ken Jennings of his day and had a bit of James Bond in him. Outside of the stars Berg was best known player of his era. How many journeymen today are instantly recognizable by the general population the way he was? The second player falls into the category of short timer -- Elvis Andrus. In his year plus with the team he was improvement on TA both offensively and in the field. Last year he may have had the most clutch late inning hits on the team. At least he usually put the ball in play. Gaetz should have given him a multiyear deal but instead signs Paul DeJong with his -0.6 WAR. That is a -1.6 swing. And I saw Nellie Fox play. My dad took me to see Ted Williams play on his last trip to Chicago.
