I actually do like Tyler Hoechlin as Superman more than Henry Cavill. He was more successful as the character and we got to see his full potential. He also was involved with better writing. Henry Cavill was screwed over and over and over. So we really didn't get to see full potential as the character.

I have been saying this for years now, Tyler Hoechlin is THE BEST LIVE ACTION ADAPTATION OF SUPERMAN. Better than Cavill, better than Reeve. His Clark is not just a mask like in Reeve's take and his Superman is not as aloof and distant as Cavill's. Tyler's Clark is a kind and caring small town nerd who just wants what's best for people and his Superman is just what his Clark would act like if he was trying to embody a more stoic and strong persona. Also having Lois fall for Clark instead of Superman is the right move, and Lois and Clark's relationship in the show is also the best adaptation we've ever seen. If any viewers have been sleeping on Superman and Lois, stop and give it a try.

The down fall of the DCEU was WB executives. Leave the creativity to the artist not someone in a board room that doesn’t even know the source material.

Hey Will, did you notice Henry Cavill in Deadpool and wolverine? He played a wolverine variant working on a motorcycle, The Cavilrine, Deadpool told him to join Marvel because Marvel would treat him better than DC.

The inclusion of Martian Man-Hunter into Zack Snyder's Justice League is a non argument. We KNOW he was only put in because the studio said you can't have Green Lantern in a Justice League film. Which makes ZERO sense! Most folks recognize Green Lantern way more than who Martian Man-Hunter is from the comics. That's no one's fault but the studio. Obviously, he would help Superman fight Zod and Doomsday. -OG

I wouldn't call _The Flash_ a good movie nor would I call ot an awful movie. But I will say it is perhaps the biggest mixed bag I've ever seen in my life. Because there were some things that I genuinely liked, things I thought were okay, things I found highly questionable, and a few things that I outright hated. However, the scene where Barry says his final goodbye to his mom *_always_* makes me cry (probably because I've suffered so much loss in the past 7 years).

What you said about Cavill not having enough dialogue or not getting to see all the different sides of the character (like Clark Kent) is still kind of the script's fault, but when I said script, I was also referring to WB messing with them. Like Cavill wanted to do Superman like Tyler and Christopher, but WB didn't let him. Also, I agree, MoS is the best DCEU movie. Thanks for including me in the video BTW.

My most unpopular opinion is, story wise Zack Snyder is better but when it comes to directing. James Gunn is way better. Just take a look at the dialogue between Superman (Cavill) and lex Luther; Man Vs God. I love that dialogue all thanks to Zack Snyder. But When I watched Suicide squad and Peacemaker, he was able to make me care about everyone including that computer guy 😅. Also, Blue Beetle deserved more, God I love that movie, it was better than Spiderman: Homecoming.

The redeeming qualities of the 2017 Justice League movie are Snyder's parts of the film. Batman on the roof with the crook to lure a parademon was okay, but the Snyder Cut executed everything much better. Starting the film leaving off with Superman's death is so much more powerful than simply showing Superman's monument. Yes, we all like a friendly, smiling Superman, but it has to be in the right setting. The comic books with Darkseid and Doomsday aren't ones with Superman doing a lot of smiling. The film has to reflect that. That doesn't mean Cavill is a poor choice for Superman. If this was a young Christopher Reeve's script, he'd reflect that too. The STUDIO is the one who wanted to play catch up to Marvel. Not Snyder. Snyder did Batman v Superman because they told him to. He would have preferred world building first. Nevertheless, he did a great job of doing so despite the studio's restraints and a no Kevin Feige of DC. Fact. -OG

I don’t get the whole Snyder beef or cultist narrative, but his DC films were astonishing. Especially Watchmen and Zack Snyder’s JL. WB should have left Zack do his thing. They purposely threw millions of dollars away, which is so mad. Ayer is another amazing director, Fury, was awesome. They should have also left his Suicide Squad film alone too. WB squandered their DC films and gave it to someone that does not match the DC tone. Sad!

I think the biggest storytelling mistake was killing off Superman before doing a Justice League movie was the stupidest decision ever. Superman was barely in both versions of Justice League and that irritates me on how he was so underutilized and he didn’t play a part in forming the Justice League. Also I still don’t see the chemistry between Bruce and Clark. And I don’t see them as friends. Frankly Bruce is one of the reasons Clark died in the first place. So I don’t see the friendship between them.

Please add the fact that 2016 Suicide Squad was butchered by the Studio! Everytime that is not mentioned it really hurts David Ayer's true vision of the movie! #ReleasetheAyerCut

I will say a few of my opinions that may or may not be popular: - I always considered DC to be more serious and gloomy than Marvel; - Justice League 2021 is one of the best movie comics in history; - I didn't like James Gunn's Suicide Squad; - I would like to see the original version of the first Suicide Squad; - I don't really like James Gunn's style; - Birds of Prey is the worst film in the history of cinema against which Green Lantern 2011, Catwoman 2004, Batman and Robin 1997, together with Madame Web 2024 look like masterpieces of the level of Stanley Kubrick's films; - Warner Bros. is the worst company that flushed not only DC but also Marytsa, Mad Max, Fantastic Beasts and Looney Tunes down the toilet(still surprised they didn't screw up "Dune"). PS: Recently it became known that Warners lost almost 10 billion dollars in 3 months.

Even though I am concerned about DCU Superman's and other heros' suit in the upcoming Superman movie, as a Hardcore Superman fan I want the movie to be a great hit since all future DCU projects depend on it. Let's Hope.

I would have to say Zack Snyder justice league was awesome but should have added Martin man hunter backstory I know it would have been too much because it was a four hour 4 and 2 min movie the 2017 justice league was okay but stepped wolf wasn’t as good man steel was awesome movie too and BVS was awesome as well all the DCEU movies were good and awesome but one movie was not as good and was a disappointment the flash didn’t not have a villain in it and didn’t not have reverse flash as villain and the CGI was terrible they should have had flashback scenes when the flash runs so fast he gets sent back to the past meeting superman and Batman and Wonder Woman help out fighting doomsday instead of the flash running in one spot in that CGI scene I blame WB and James Gunn for deleting superman scenes and super girl scene with Keaton Batman at the end of the movie and didn’t make sense how the flash mother got killed without reverse flash involved in the movie those are my opinions

I disagree with Fanfilm's opinion about Superman starting the DCU. It needs to start with Supes IMO as he's the OG DC hero. If not starting with him, then who? Everything can't always be about Batman. I love Batman but we've been up to our ears in Batman content for over a decade now, both movies and comics. I'm fine with reestablishing Superman as the franchise. I think of Jesse Eisenberg's Lex as more of an Elseworlds take. Enjoyed him as a villain but I see him as an alternate take on the character. I think Nicholas Holt's version will be more comic accurate. I loved both Cavill's and Hoechlin's versions of Superman. Both versions have their differences but are have elements that stay true to the core of the character. And I liked The Flash. It definitely has it's flaws (especially with the CGI) but it's still an entertaining film and has a lot of replay value (at least for me).

The TV, if the written is done right , will always do a character Justice. So if Cavill was a given the opportunity to flesh out his character like Tyler then it would be an apples to apples comparison but it isn't.

Unpopular opinion(for now) I was one of the Superman fan's deeply disappointed with Gunn's first BTS pic of David Corenswet as Superman. It was a poor decision by Gunn BUT subsequently from seeing the leaked pics from set and information from your channel, I am quietly confident that Gunn is developing a solid modern version of Superman that both young and old audiences will relate to. It all depends on delivery and how strong Corenswet comes across on screen and not just off a snapshot. After watching my adventures of Superman, a modern take on Superman with Reeves old school values is a breath of fresh air... Might just be a recipe for success. We'll have to see.

The Flash is one of the best DCEU movie. Story of the flash was unforgettable, far better than most DCEU stories. Time travel and multiverse I absolutely loved it l, it was easy to understand not confusing like mcu multiverse.

I guess my unpopular opinion is that superman shouldn't be the first film in a shared universe as for example in the dceu he is arriving in a world where batman and wonder woman have been active for years. Would be nice to see that world and how they properly have to change to accommodate aliens now existing in their story

Batman is the most popular DC character. So of course he's gonna sell more tickets. Superman can make money but only if the character is done right and if the audience likes it. But Superman will not make aa money as Batman no matter how successful the movie is. Batman could make 1 billion dollars while Superman makes about 7 million and both are still a success.

It's not unpopular opinion but it's reality. The Flash was an Amazing movie, 9/10 for me. We had so much fun watching that movie in theatre, so much fun, entertaining and enjoyable. It had one of best story in DCEU and explanation of time travel and multiverse was so explicit and easy to understand, far better than those mcu confusing forced multiverse movies. The downside was the controversy, and unfinished cgi and vfx.

What you loved about the suicide squad means nothing. It lost WB MONEY COST 180M TO MAKE MADE 160M while the OG Suicide Cost 200m Made 600m

I don't think it's fair to compare Suicide Squad with The Suicide Squad. Why? Because Suicide Squad is NOT THE AYER CUT. Suicide Squad had a lot of studio interference. Gunn had free reign on his version. Which was a far more adolescent humorous version if that's your thing. It's not mine. The AYER CUT would have been almost an entirely different film. More Joker. More Deadshot and Harley. The big baddies would be the parademons. The original look for these parademons is wicked. I understand they had to tone it down to the versions we see in the other films. Steppenwolf would have been the big threat. Perfect introduction leading into Zack Snyder's Justice League. -OG

I haven't watched that Superman and Lois shows but I've watched so many clips of that show and undoubtedly he felt like Superman and also I've watched each every DCEU movies and I gotta admit Superman didn't deserve DCEU, that was really injustice with Superman, he didn't feel like Superman, I can absolutely confirm as I've watched most of Superman animated movies, that's not how the mainline Superman should be portrayed.He got just one movie and next movie he's done and then other when got recieved, he got less than 5 minutes , I guess. So I hope James Gunn would bring the real Superman, animated and comic book accurate!! And before going to Justice League please make atleast a sequel and a Superman/Batman movie like Superman/Batman Public Enemies, Apocalypse and all other Superman & Batman only animated movies and shows.

I've watched The Flash in Theaters, i remember i watched it with my friends and we loved it , we gave this movie 10/10, it was a great movie the Story, plot, humour, action everything was top notch expect CGI but we were too engaged in the movie bad CGi didn't bother us And I'll say ut every time that The Flash is a great movie, me and my friends almost cried at the last moment when Barry was meeting him mother for the last time

I agree about the style of dialogue and type of humor gunn uses in gotg 2 and peacemaker. It just seems so forced and not to mention very juvenile. Im a bit worried about superman since hes only one writing the script. Hopefully its more on par with gotg 3 where story and overall tone is taken seriously with bits of humour sprinkled through.

Man Of Steel should have been a trilogy, Wonder Woman should’ve been one too, then if they were successful they should have brought them together along with Bale’s Batman and make a trinity film then set up the shared universe with the 3 most popular characters already established

Superman is nothing like Gaurdens of the Galaxy when it comes to his personality. Sure, he has humor here and there but if James Gunn over does it and makes him like his Marvel films, I'm gonna give him an F. Superman needs to have a balance when it comes to his humor and the movie's tone. He's not that funny. While Batman needs to have a darker tone with less humor and a more serious personality. Batman is not the same person as Superman. That was my issue between the two in the DCEU.

DC will never fully bounce back from their mis-start. I didn't like The Batman any better than the dcu batman. Shazam was more fun to watch than all the ones you mentioned above it in the dcu. I enjoyed the flash and wanted more inclusion of the dark flash and multiverse.

As a Comic reader I love Zack Snyder run in his version of Superman but I also love more Josh, Wheden. Superman right. I been reading comics since 4th grade Josh is light heart character.

Batman should never kill. He shouldn’t torture either. Batman isn’t a soldier or government official. If he starts killing then he is no different from vigilantes like Punisher. Also not killing tests his ingenuity and problem solving skills. What matters to Batman is saving as many lives as possible not getting a job done. And lol, Snyder’s absolutely do not have more emotional resonance than Shazam. They are inherently morose movies with selfish messagings.

Ur take on TSS is tolerable, but no way corrdct bout Batman killing. Even if theres some extremely severe cases where ordinary people find it justifyable to kill someone, Batman finding a way to dtop them without killing is what makes him Batman. Plus after watching Death in the Family, I think Batman has a mental issue, an obsession that drives him to do what he does. Letting him get rid of that rule is like allowing Joker to be sane or letting Supes be a jerk, giving Spiderman a happy ending, 2 of those happened before, and it was fine for sum fans, but none of which were in character. Joker isn't meant to be sane, Supes isn't a jerk, Spidey doesn't get to be happy, and Batman doesn't kill.

I completely agree about DC being at its strongest when it does standalone projects. Look at Joker, or Watchmen, The Batman, or even TV shows like Gotham, Doom Patrol, Sandman, Superman and Lois, or other examples. While the shared universe concept on film or TV with the Arrowverse is nice, DC really shines when it just does its own thing without being beholden to a greater universe.
