@@vincecerna14Essentially half his channel. He’s incredibly good at using popular songs of different genres and eras to showcase why chord progressions work. Where Beato is very detailed, Bennett often skips over why they used a Bb11 instead of a Bb if it’s not relevant to the progression and is just some added color. This is great for guitarists learning piano.
I am so glad that I just found this video! Thank you so much for having David Bennett on your program. David is a creative genius and one of the most amazing piano professionals. I watch all of his videos whenever possible-He never disappoints! This video was so much fun and the time passed by so quickly because I was thoroughly entertained and all of you did an awesome job. Thanks again and I look forward to more sessions like this. Take care. 👍
The easy way formula to remember at a glance the Major Scale of: tone, tone, semitone, tone tone tone semitone, glance at the 2 black keys (being equivalent to tone, then the big space is semitone, then 3 black keys - 3 tones, the finally space - semitone). Once you have this formula, TTSTTTS, you can apply it to all 12 root keys and be able to play all 12 Major scales. ❤
Super informative and fun! David is brilliant, and his teaching about theory is always easy to follow. The three of you together made for a really fantastic presentation. Thank You.
Thanks guys - keep up the good work. I love this . I have learned so much from both Lisa and David. They clearly no so much about music theory, however, thanks to this video there is finally something on which I am able to correct David - pineapple of pizza is just wrong.
David’s channel is amazing! Talking about Morse code, I’d love an in depth analysis of the song Empire of the Clouds from Iron Maiden. I thing it has a real Morse code message there.
Hi lisa, love the channel. As a neurodivergent person having the light pointing at the camera in some shots really hurts. If you are still setting these up, please may I offer a suggestion of having that key light out of camera shot. Thanks everyone for this channel.
It’s surprising that David reverted to the “tone/semi tone” terminology commonly used in the UK and commonwealth countries, given that he’s talked before about having to think in terms of “step/half step” because of his audience being predominantly American.
In the video- between 43:29-44:08 (just before Lisa says Rabbit Trail)- AFTER the John Legend chords. DAVID moved into another song and moves it into Em .... showing similar rhythm in a new song..... WHAT IS THE NAME OF THAT Song? I've heard it- I'd like to play it. What is it? ---- thank you
I thought a, 'hack', was a cheat of some sort. It seems to nowadays just refer to a method, or way of doing something. I don't usually watch videos that claim to have hacks, because they don't. Unless they are video games.
