In case you might need a word primer…Line up your 12x12” paper on the 5” mark..then cut down only 7”…turn paper clock wise 1quarter turn then line up with 5” mark and cut only 7” down your first 5x7 panel will pop out then..…turn paper clockwise 1quarter turn then line up with 5” mark and cut only 7” down your 2nd 5x7 panel will pop out then……turn paper clockwise 1quarter turn then line up with 5” mark and cut only 7” down your third 5x7 panel will pop out then you will also have your fourth 5x7” panel on your cutter deck as well as the centre 2x2 piece will pop out hope that helps💕💕💕
I just spent over an hour going back through every single one of her videos and I must have missed it somewhere but here's how I do it... And I even use the xyron sticky paper that she mentioned. I take a roll of my double-sided xyron refill (but you can use any double-sided tape or sheet) and just cover the back of either a foil cardstock or whatever cardstock you want strips of. Don't take off the second half of the backing paper... Just the side that you'll be sticking to the back of your cardstock. Then just cut skinny little strips with whatever paper trimmer you use. I tend to use my guillotine trimmer because I find it cuts better through the adhesive but whatever works for you is fine. Then... When you're ready to use them, just take the backing paper off and you have an instant sticky strip that you didn't pay a ridiculous amount of money for, in any color you need.
Hi Sharon, this is the 5th time I have watched this and I see something new each time. I love your cutting plan - that is a game changer and TFS. Shirley (London UK) xx
Great Video. I have a ton of these books, and just really didn't know what to do with them. I bought them because the papers are so pretty. Shiny object syndrome classic move for sure. ☮❤
Wow, wish I’d seen this video before Christmas lol. Great ideas for this coming Christmas though. I love that you use everyday supplies; I get a bit frustrated watching SU videos since I don’t own many of theirs. I do own tons of dies so I can easily replicate some of your ideas. Thank you so much for sharing 😊
I just found you and I’m so excited to learn more from you, I love that you gave me a way to make great cutes for a 5x7 cards I think I will make some Christmas cards this size this year for my shop and to send I think I make buy the ATG runner I use so many little runners I think it’s time to graduate ❤❤loving your cards from Oregon
Thanks for sharing this tip. I often purchase paper packs and then can't figure out how to use some of the papers. Especially the ones with a design on the bottom or just the corner. This will now let me use the entire pack. THANK YOU!
@@SharonLuska Oh, my goodness, Sharon-you’re so sweet! Crafty hugs to you! Maybe in the new year, we could do a collab together if you’re interested? I have been MIA for a few months due to an injury and then a family medical issue, but all things have settled and I plan to get back to crafting more! ♥️♥️♥️
I usually don’t get Christmas cards sent, even though I’ve known for a full year that christmas was coming!🤭 So instead I send Valentines. People have gotten used to it, and they say they really love them. They aren’t competing with all the other cards, so they really look at them. Your suggestions are so great. Blessings❣️🙏🖖
Wow! I'm so happy that I've happened across this great video! Thanks so much for sharing this, it'll be a huge saving for me. I've subscribed so I'll be looking forward to any future videos you're able to make. I'll be going through your back catalogue, too 🔔 🎄 🎅
Your cards are beautiful and I learned a lot from your video. I mostly make 5x7 cards and have lots of 12X12 designer paper that I didn't know how to cut. Thank you!
Love the cutting hack! Now can use up a LOT of those paper pads. More into inking now days. But, I have some beautiful papers to use too. All my children's, and grand children's birthday cards are done as 5x7's Your cards are beautiful. Very talented. Thanks for your video :)
Thank you so much for this video. I'm from the UK and a lot of one sheet videos I've watched from the US use card sizes which are not standard over here. These cards are beautiful and the paper cutting hack is great. All the best.
Hi Sharon! Thanks for your videos! You mentioned in this video about a video you did on making the foil strip using your sticker maker cartridge. I can't seem to find it. Can you please tell me what the video is called so I can check it out. I've got a whole slew of your videos for me to watch later! Your money saving hacks amaze me!! You are brilliant! P. S. I love that you are Canadian as you've mentioned a couple of places to check out!
Awesome tip re cutting the 5x7 from a 12x12 sheet. I love making 5x7 cards, and always seem to have some waste from my patterned paper! Everyone should have the Scrappy Tails Christmas Assorted leaves in their stash, as well as the Assorted Metal leaves die. They are so versatile, and best of all, made in America! I promised myself that I wouldn't buy any more stamps and dies in the new year, until I have used everything I have, but, I can't wait for Sabrina to bring out some new things in 2022!
Fabulous cards Sharon 😻 I love the pattern papers, your die-cuts and your card designs. Fantastic tips on how to cut 12x12 pattern papers ❤ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx Merry Christmas and a happy new year Hugs xx
Love that hack for 5x7 cards! Thank you. It is in my techniques folder. Love all the cards you shared. Christmas cards are always so nostalgic to look at. A very MERRY CHRISTMAS to you! 🎄 💛TR
Thank you so much for this. I confess I am severely dimensionally challenged (oh, the number of things I've ruined/wasted because I "misplaced" dimensions/orientations...). My initial thoughts on watching this were akin to being shown a magic trick. How does she do that?! Wo-ow! I had to re-watch a couple of times, if I'm honest (I feel such a doofus). Anyway, many thanks again & I've absolutely saved this to my Techniques folder. And will be looking up more of your vids. Great stuff!
Where is the "Xyron no-cartridge" hack video (@ approx minute 6:40)? Can't find it. BTW - I REALLY APPRECIATE your clever videos, and fun presentation style. You go girl!
Love your hack! I’ve got these card base and envelopes from a prior purchase but never wanted to use them because of the printed paper waste Thanks for educating me! I’d love to see how you made the bow on the Farm Fresh tree card
Ur creativity is stunning. U have definitely inspired me to start making 5x7 cards. The tip for getting 4 cards from 1 12x12 is brilliant. The strips u cut off can be glued on the inside of the card and u will get even less waste. TFS
@@ardennedra2624 Same here! It seems I've been on a wild goose chase searching for it, but turns out I've actually been looking for an non-existent unicorn instead! She says in the video that she'll link it in the description, but then it _isn't_ listed at all... and judging from other comments (after spending over half an hour searching all over her channel and in the comments for it!) it seems there _is_ no such video, and that she's considering making it "since it seems to be in demand". It's rather frustrating, really! I appreciate her making these videos and sharing her tips, but wish she'd be more clear & transparent and say what actually really _is_ the case... that there are plans to make a video if there's enough demand for it (or whatever is the case)... rather than spouting off untruths and having people search for something that doesn't even exist! (Ok, rant over... I'm just a bit frustrated here is all!) 😵💫
Merry Christmas to you Sharon. I love this video so much. I have this pad and was looking at how to use the pad up and now I am psyched! You videos are so educational, I have followed you from your start and you have always offered great tips and advice. Happy New Year, be well.
