As a Jonesboro native I totally gotta head down there and get one from y’all. I was thinking about bass pro shops in Memphis, but I’m sold on you guys from just one video. It’s so refreshing to see someone who cares about the sport and community!
They are literally the best shop, I won’t go anywhere else dalton and his wife are some of the nicest people I’ve ever meet, I didn’t know jack shit about bows before walking in and was pretty intimidated by the whole thing but soon as I admitted that they took the time to explain everything and anything that I had questions about.
I measured the sound level of this bow, and it came in at 76 dB, and I used a real decibel meter AND an app on my phone. That vibration you feel comes from the 4 string grubs. Replace those with brass speed nocks and shrink tubing and a couple of cat whisker string dampeners, and it feels and sounds amazing. Oh yeah, those string grubs makes the bow 4 dB louder than how I made my Alaskan XT quieter.
Once I do actually get the bow I'm going with the Alaskan xt. However I'm going to shoot the whitetail Maxx again too but that xt feels pretty good out of the 3. The bear paradigm and Cabela's blackout distinct are the same bow different color options. I believe the same cams, just no roller slide
Great in-depth review. Thanks for all of the honest feedback. I’m leaning really heavily toward this bow or the Whitetail Maxx as a replacement for my current bow (original Jennings Buckmaster). I just can’t bring myself to pay the price for the flagship bows, so one of these two new Bear models might be just the thing for me. It will undoubtedly be leaps and bounds better than my current bow. 😁
Bear is really putting more quality bows into the hands of more hunters. But i guess they always have.Fred would be tickled i bet.My apprentice wanted to get a first bow i suggested the paridiem as he has gorilla length draw.He seems pretty happy so far.Just changed that peep sight before he even shot it.
Thanks for the review, subscribed. Love your Release, Onnex C, right? Have exactly that one in the Heavy/ Brass- Version and do love it. Think Joel Turner is right, the click was missing in other Thumb releases before.
If i am not mistaken my paradox hc was superseded by the Alaskan!! Correct?? also i love the trough in front of riser for your bow hand super comfy!! Legend series riser!!
Question. How would the Bear Alaskan XT compare to the Hoyt Torrex? I have the Torrex but originally wanted the Alaskan XT but it wasn't available at the time I purchased it. Still really like the Alaskan XT. May have to have both to test. Thanks for the video.
That they don’t last and do nothing but stretch and twist causing timing issues and peep twist. Just order Gas and spend time shooting instead of putting it in a bow press every month to fix those constant issues.
@@DevilsUp589they make good bows just terrible strings. They never stop moving. Gas strings have the best warranty I’ve found. Only question they ask is what address do you want replacements sent to 😂
Why is the bottom cam pushed so much to the left? Mine doesn't have cam lean but it's pushed to the left so much the bushing rattles on the right side. Just curious if this is normal and ok or if I need to take it back to the shop. I saw from your review your bow looks the same.
It is the spacer recipe the factory is using. They changed it to offset moving the cable rod to a closer to middle position and over compensated so we have to shim every single one.
@BetterOutdoorsarchery thank you appreciate the response. Outside of that the bow has been amazing for the price. I think it's very underrated for what it is. Appreciate the reviews.
pse 362fps bow, 33inch, 80lb with string and cable tweaking is slightly faster then a monster 6 70lb 29 inch stock, do the same to a monster 5 with every thing bogus its over 380fps. ibo speeds are so fake, you can fudge the specks off any bow to dry fire a 350gr arrow over 360fps, higher grade bows over 390fps easily. bows wont last, never do it if your not rich
