Unpopular opinion: A lot of this “new sound” is thanks to Gravity. Without the elements of Gravity’s atmosphere, we wouldn’t have this new dark twisted sound. I’m so glad BFMV came back swinging after all the feedback about Gravity
This song sounds a lot like Fever and Venom tbh. I really like this more than Parasite (2nd single), but I definitely like Knives more. Still excited for the self titled since BFMV was one of the bands that got me into Metalcore
This shapes up to be either a bland boring heavy album or something actually pretty cool and somewhat close to their roots. Ngl, my expectations are not that high, but one could hope.
The soft part makes it hit harder when the riff comes in. Hints of Pantera in the groove and Maiden in the chorus part towards the end going into the lead . BFMV is Reborn! The Heavy is here !
They’ve used less auto tune than any other album this time around and Matt has recently learned a new screaming technique, absolutely buzzing for the new album 🔥
Fun Fact...Hand Of Blood was also the First Song of a famous German RU-vidr He hears from BfmV ...and He Chose to Take it as his RU-vid Name HandOfBlood and guess what ? You know him ... From where ? Nothing less then the MC Thunder Videos from Eskimo Callboy...He is the Main Actor there 😂
Have to admit that I really, really miss the riffs that they used to do, albums like The Poison, SAF and Venom had some fantastic riffs, this new album while sound heavy and pretty decent so far also sound really simple, like no elaborated riffs or some different music structure and from the three singles only this one has a solo. I really love BFMV, but I think this album will be just good, nothing really memorable
I will agree with you, because despite me liking this song, I really don't have high expectations for this album. A man can hope, but that's about as much as we can do...
Agreed, they're not bad tracks but compared to their first 3 records the riffs and choruses pale in comparison, but they used to be one of the best at it so it's hard to keep that up sometimes I suppose
I don’t understand the hate on Parasite.. It’s the only one so far that’s really technical & heavy as fuck! I love it. And so do a lot of other long time fans. It’s just more Thrashy than the other two singles! Which in my eyes isn’t a bad thing at all..
I guess I'm not gonna be too popular with my opinion in this comment section, but I think Gravity was pretty good. Different for sure, but not bad. My only complaint is Padge didn't get one solo on the album. Not one. Other than that Gravity kinda grew on me after a few listens.
while i would have liked to hear "some" more instruments behind the verses,. even if just some more guitare tunes quietly in the background, i can nevertheless say this song reminds me so much of the good old days Bullet had and with those 3 singles im more then just hyped for the album They are back, harder then ever and im lovin it
My only negative take is that there wasn't like crazy riffs, like the ones on the Posion album, or very dynamic vocals, either cleans or harsh, but man, I love fat riffs and the pace of the drums worked well. Overall, I liked the song
I liked gravity (unpopular opinion) for its atmospheric elements. I feel the new singles are good because of this. Sure they went heavy, but the atmospheric stuff in the back is what make it the new sound slap.
I love all the singles for this upcoming album. Love this sound. Now, I only disagree, with your opinion on the previous album 😂 I thought Letting You Go was one of the better songs, but maybe it's cause it's so catchy. Idk, I liked it. The only song I skip on that album is the title track, Gravity 😅 But like AA & BMTH, they experimented a different sound, & it wasn't bad. But also like those bands, they can come back & make songs like this. Either way, love these bands, love this song, & I love your reactions🤘🏼
Heavy and you got a Solo finally, i always enjoy their solo.. i was sad when they stop doing theses kickass Solo But Parasite is still My favorite song from BFMV
All three released singles are heavy and Banger. But to be honest, it wasn't enough for me. Maybe the chorus didn't give a strong impression. And Matt is a good vocalist who can sing both Unclean and Clean. Jamie, too, but I think this song has so many uncleans that it reduces their strengths. We have wanted song like Don't Need You or a heavier version of Venom, but it still seems different from our wishes.
@@deathippygaming8016 Yeah, I think they have a big decision. That song is banger and heavy enough. But as a fan of them since 2015, it's just not enough for me.
@@nocallerid3634 I just said my opinion as a fan, and of course I respect their decision to do what they want, but it's not wrong to express personal opinions on the song, right?
Great analysis and reaction! Knives is still my favorite but I think after a few more listens, Shatter should grow on me and overtake it. Parasite is very forgettable and bleh in my opinion. New album should be interesting and can't wait to see how it turns out with the direction they're going in!
I don’t understand the hate on Parasite.. It’s the only one so far that’s really technical & heavy as fuck! I love it. And so do a lot of other long time fans. It’s just more Thrashy than the other two singles! Which in my eyes isn’t a bad thing at all..
I've seen several people commenting or complaining online that the song isn't diverse or have enough changes. If I wrote those pre-chorus and chorus riffs I would ride those damn things from the start till the end of the song. If you make too many changes in a song that has an amazing, heavy riff like that you can easily ruin it by make constant changes. Just my opinion.
I'm glad people are enjoying the songs but they aren't cutting it for me. Full disclosure: I'm a fan since I was a kid of 6 years. This band is the reason I picked up my guitar (best thing I ever did) I mean Knives was a refreshment, Parasite had it's moment but nothing really makes me play it again, Shatter is heavy and all yet so uninteresting to me and instantly realized I heard something similair in Absolute Power by Parkway Drive. I felt like they played it safe with the heaviness, idk my opinion. I miss catchy choruses and unique yet familiar leads. And Matt's vox ofc.
I agree. It's conflicting as it's great they're going down the 'heavier' path again, though comparing the songwriting so far to the songs - or even first 3 singles - from Venom (their most recent comparable album), it just falls short for me. Haven't heard the whole record yet so trying to reserve judgement, but I think Venom struck a perfect balance with the riffs, interplay of the harsh vocals & cleans, melodies etc. The riffs, choruses and structure here feel kinda bland, which is a shame. I think maybe it's the lack of those hooks/melody that's missing? I dunno. We'll see what the album is saying when it comes out.
I think this song takes a lot from Parkway Drive - Crushed, even structurally, intro and big similar riff, than drop out verses, than chorus with that riff, but Parkway sound much more epic and whole idk why. And overall all the new songs give me strange feelings, yes they are heavy, and some parts are headbangable, but thats not enough, this is the type of heavy i heard a million times and done better by other bands and BFMV just dont sound like themselves, they just try to be heavy in the sake of being heavy, because maybe the lable told them to be
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 I think it’s just a little bit repetitive, a little more diversity would put it a little higher. I also think people love this cause generally Gravity was a very weak record so there were low standards lol. Ngl i kinda like Gravity tho lol
Honestly, I don't care sometimes if something sounds mainstream, melo, vanilla, basic, generic, standard, normal, cookie cutter as long as it makes my ear holes filled with things that make my head bang.
@@rowanplaysbass Yeah man, great point. Hey BTW I just started my reaction channel and I'll have a reaction for this up when I'm home. I'll be honest though, didn't have much to say about it.
The biggest takeaway I've had from the 3 singles is that Matt and Padge have downtuned their guitars to Drop B as opposed do drop C or D standard in the past.Thats why the riffs sound chunkier
