I'm taking a closer look at the original Ibanez Overdrive Pro Tube Screamer 808 made in 1981. This is a classic pedal, well-known and loved by guitarists for its signature sound.
About the TS-808:
This TS-808 is a special one from the early 1980s. It has the Ibanez "trademark" logo and contains the sought-after Japanese RC4558P chip.
The pedal I'm using has the MP-D01201A circuit board, noted for its unique sound qualities.
Guitar: I'm playing an LSL Stratocaster by Lance Lerman. I love it!
Amp: after having many Fender amps, I just love the small Fender Blues Junior. Warm sound and portable - the settings are "neutral" and Master is around 2.5
Compressor: I'll also bring in a Maxon Compressor later on to adjust the overdrive with the volume control.
