My Mount Rushmore: Joker: First comic book movie where the villain is the protagonist, showing that we can feel empathy and relate with characters other than the heroes. Wonder Woman: It wasn't the first comic book movie with a woman, but it was the first comic book movie in which the main (and title) character was a woman, as well as the first comic book movie directed by a woman. And that's a very important thing, because representation is a very important thing. Blade: This movie revived Marvel movies and started the Marvel films era that led up to the MCU. But also, it was the first comic book movie in the horror genre, something that to this day has still rarely been done. But the film brought a new genre to comic book films, and a variety of genres is something we still desperately need. I believe Blade was also (one of) the first black led comic book films. I think Steel came out earlier, but does anyone really count Steel? Into the Spider-Verse: The biggest and most successful animated comic book film, that also completely changed the game when it comes to animation. And that trend continued with the sequel and will likely continue to push boundaries with Beyond the Spider-Verse as well.

I mostly agree I would just put the first Avengers over the Thanos duology. They were definitely bigger crossovers but the first Avengers really showed that a crossover movie with different superheroes could work.

I would replace Infinity war/Endgame with Iron Man. It came from a very risky time as super hero movies were flopping (green lantern) and it introduced one of the most amazing CU's and movies yet.

I feel like Deadpool needs to be in there too because it paved the way for more rated r comic book properties

Spider-Man 1 (2002) deserves a spot, it was one of the first major movies in general due to the CGI, costumes and other things being revolutionary.

Deadpool shows that movies can be funny break the 4th wall and still have a good story

We all the Mount Rushmore for comic movies was The lego Batman movie(the best Batman), Spiderverse, Megamind, and Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man.

My personal list would be: spider verse, the original Sam Ramey, Spider-Man, infinity, war, and endgame, and Iron Man

Superman - godfather of comic book superhero movies Batman 89 - changed the game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - the film that defined a generation X-Men - first professional quality mainstream Marvel Movie and changed the CGI game These aren't my personal favorites but they had the most influence.

Honable metions go to TMNT 1990 because even with a low budget you can make a great comic book movie and it made the Turtle's even more popular then they already were, TMNT mutant mayhem because it brought in a new genartion of TMNT fan's and made alot of money in a year where even decent films bombed at the box office and Avengers 2012 because it started the cinmatic universe trend in Hollywood for better/Worse

1. I agree, Superman. Could argue one of the older Batman films. 2. Dark Knight, iconic roles, iconic scenese, iconic performances. Iconic Movie. 3. Infinity War/Endgame. Two of the highest grossing films with some of, if not THE most popular superheroes in fiction. 4. It’s too soon to call it for ITSV, so my pick would be either the Tobey Spiderman, first Ironman, or first Avengers. Any of them can be interchangeable.

I know this may be pretty late but I think I know how they can get rid of the character of kang or at least have him change in some way (meaning the actor) they could possibly do something to where Loki rewrites the story to where he changes the way kang is but maybe one of them remembers the truth (possibly the one from ant man quantumania) but that’s just something I came up with right now so idk
