Fall has began its reign on the Northeast Kingdom, but on this trip, were going above the foliage. Somewhere where trees themselves cannot survive. The Mount Washington Cog Railway was chartered in 1866, and has been climbing their way to the skies almost every day since then, bringing millions of people to the tallest peak in all of the Northeast. On this day, we were treated to the baby of the steam fleet, Waumbek 9. Built in 1904, she's an old soul, but young compared to her sister Ammonoosuc 2, which was built in 1875. Climb aboard as we join #9 and her crew, to the summit of the devil's peak!
