Hello my new garden friend, thank you very much for the lovely comment! That’s is Mountain Laurel, the state flower of Connecticut, for Pennsylvania too 🐝🐸
Thank you ! I live in Southern CA , and I don’t see these kinds of flowering trees around. I have palm trees , succulents, roses, and many varieties of flowers and shrubs. my garden is pretty too but compare to yours, it seems like a baby garden.
We just had a storm since last night, over 1 foot of snow with wind right now… but I did managed prune the wisteria and cut some grass down yesterday, now I can relax a bit 😊 Winter makes me appreciate more about life🙏
Oh that’s a lot of snow! It’s been in the 50’s here. My tulips & sedum are poking out ❤ I love wisteria but mine died I’m thinking root rot & need to get another plant & try it somewhere else. Have a wonderful cozy day cause spring is coming!
Very beautiful garden! May I give you a tip how to get the thread algae (don’t know if it’s the correct name) out of the pond: Home Depot or Lowes sell these green plant poles, (different lengths) that are a little rough/bumpy on the surface. Stick this pole into the algae and turn the pole and roll up the algae. It’s very easy and quick. 👍🏼
So sorry I’ve missed your message. The pond next to the Japanese maple is about 9x17’, the other one is a bit smaller but deeper. The purpose of creating ponds is to provide water source for wildlife, therefore I do not have koi. I simple dug out and laid pats and liner, then put in some pond stones in different sizes. Due to such small sizes, plants are limited to water lilies, water iris, pickerel plants purchased from local stores, and cattail from local creek… thank you for stopping by, hope to see you again in spring 😊❤️
Thank you for the recommendation. My goal for this channel is to inspire others and bring inner peace & joy as part of therapies, rather detail informational gardening methods, I wish you understand, but of course if you have any specific questions, I’ll be very happy to answer them. Have a wonderful day🐻🐸
