@adrian_veidt actually you're right I forgot about that one...I wouldn't wanna watch it again buy under siege wasn't bad but that was because Tommy Lee Jones was in it
It’s true though, it happened in Afghanistan. When I first went over there in 2002, it was tea this and that. By the time I left that country for good in 2009(3rd tour) everybody and their moms were jacked up on Mt Dew. The power of America at its finest.
3:35 😂😂😂😂 stuntman missed his cue/mark. Also *Fun (obscure) Fact:* Arnold Stang voiced the cartoon character Top Cat. If you know your Hanna-Barbera catalogue you'll know what I'm talking about. 11:58 I usually don't disagree with you, but our man deserves a full star Yelp Review for his dedication to customer service!! 😅 who's watching his cart right now?
Pretzy and Herc. 😂 I love how Pretzy steals their book and shows up drunk at their house and they're just like come on in guy we've known for three days. Also "MeUrcUrrry go DoWn dARe." Favorite line.
In an old photo magazine (no, not that type of magazine) I found a small picture of a bodybuilder named "Arnold Strong" and that was good old Arnold from around the time he did this movie.
I watched this in the mid nineties at stupid o'clock in the morning after a night of heavy drinking and I saw the original dubbed version. Needless to say I was very drunk and very confused by actually seeing this in real life. I'd heard it was his first US acting gig but seeing it was very weird. I'm pretty sure the undubbed version is reasonably recent because of his status now. I'm glad he improved his English and got another chance to prove he could do what he has gone on to be loved for. Well done Governator!
If I remember correctly mixing up greece and rome gods should be fine since Zeus once was forbidden to make more offsprings so he was like "ok, i'm not Zeus im the rome god now so I can make new baby" Besides Zeus was changing into animals like you pointed out before.
One of his GREATEST films and FIRST acting roles. Underrated and underappreciated. Brilliantly written, cast, acted & directed. It's a film that should be in EVERYONEs library especially if you are an Arnold fan.
For the man with a fever (hopefully recovered) I have a crazy connection to make with this 'film'. Do you think it's plausible the scene with Hercules fighting the bear, inspired the John West: Fisherman vs Bear fight commercial from the year 2000?
Schwarzenegger probably would rather have you watch this than his film "The Villain" lol. As a child always wanted to play Hercules an admired Steve Reeves as Hercules.
I think this is better than his next movie. I also love this movie funny thing is first time I watched it I went in blind. I didn't know it was a comedy so I got very angry. Seen it again on late night tv about a month later and not expecting it to be good or serious I ended up laughing my ass off.
The original title of the film was 'Hercules Goes Bananas', but they changed it to 'Hercules in New York' in the 80s to make it not sound so bad for late night tv.
It's kind of a miracle that Arnold had the career he did after this film. Why didn't they rewrite it to be...I don't know, "Thor in New York," maybe and make the gods Norse if they wanted their main character to be an Austrian dude who could barely speak English? I mean, no doubt the dude is mythically ripped, but why not tailor the script to fit the talent just a little.
I think during this filming, Arnold was able to join millionaires status. The funny thing is that before he became a star, he was already a millionaire through real estate investments and his exercise videos.
i am offended sir. Arnie didn't know English while making this film. the told him what to say and he repeated. he talks about it in his book total recall, wich he reads the first and last chapters on audible haha
