Back in 2020-2021 they were trying to make cubes as cheap as possible by reducing the package now they seem to be doing the opposite

It really is unacceptable, and it feels like there's no real, effective way for us to communicate that to manufafturers. Cameron from SpeedCubeShop said that he has been asking companies to chill on extraneous accessories and packaging because it drives shipping costs up for him. Maybe if popular YouCubers start to raise the issue?

That box is ridiculous for a 3x3. Some brands are selling cubes in bigger and bigger boxes just to charge double or triple the price for something will probably end up in the trash.

Screw is more precise, you can turn half turn or quarter, or eighth. On numbered adjustment you can't turn a half, if you feel like you like the one between two. With screws, you will always be able to

@@balintgalambos691 Although that's true, the issue with screws is that they're very difficult to adjust evenly. With a numbered adjustment system, every side is even, even if it gives you less options.

@@ItsQubic you definetly able to adjust it the same. And even better if MoYu wasnt taking off the even tensioning tool. Now it is only by eyes, but you can definetly adjust a screw once in a cubes lifetime as much as the edge of the screw is evenly barely visible from the steepest angle that you are see the middle part over the edge. After that is just counting that how many turns you are tightening one side, and do that many on the others. Sorry if my english is somewhat poor, im from Hungary

@@balintgalambos691 Although it's true that screws are technically more adjustable, a numerical system is still better because you have assurance that the center travel is even on each side. Also, your english isn't bad, and just having learned a second language is further than I've gotten.

Screw always will be better. You always can go between 2 strength, if you feel like you like the settings between two number on the tornado v3, what do you do? With screws, there always one between 2

This is not acceptable, $80 for what is literally a plastic toy with magnets. Gan has been doing this and moyu has started, and they will keep increasing prices if we keep buying their cubes. Gan releases the same mid cube every year for more each year. We need to stop buying these cubes so the companies actually make fairly priced cubes. Spread this message if you agree with me

Moyu's been producing cubes for a long time now and yet they still don't understand cubers' needs. Adding useless accessories like cube straps that no one's gonna use and charging additional money for it is not what cube companies should be doing. We only need the cube and tools necessary to tension it. That's it. Feels like they're taking a step back instead of going forward.

Hey I am currently on a study trip in China, and that price is pretty accurate yeah as I saw an advert here from Moyu with a similar price. They seem to be heavily advertising the cube watch idea, which is novel, and I kind of like it, but I feel the main demographic is going to be towards kids that won't really care about the cube and more want it for the watch. That in combination with it being really expensive will lead to them making a lot of money from each sale

Yes, they know that screws are the best. With numbered settings how do you choose, if you like between 3 and 4? You cant go just 3.5. With screws there is always a setting between two

@@balintgalambos691 The upside when you buy a Gan is that you get... a Gan. Their puzzles are premium quality. I don't doubt that the Super Weilong performs well but I doubt that the plastic and build quality are on par with Gan. I didn't buy any of the Gan flagships btw. They're just too expensive even for the premium feel. So I'm certainly not going to buy this one...
