THE MUNSTERS THEME was written by Jack Marshall, a guitarist who forever gave The Munsters a place in surf music history.

This is quite possibly one of the greatest theme songs of all time.

The theme always had words. When it first came out.

The first autograph that I ever acquired was Pat Priest Marilyn Munster my mother help me write a letter to her in the fall of 1965 and she sent me a sheet sized headshot that was autographed. I was 9 years old and was thrilled to get it because I thought she was so pretty

Herman from the series later played the judge in the movie My Cousin Vinny where he had the famous line "What's a Ute?" Which is a Youth or a Utah Ute. Never mind all that the theme song was great never knew it had words.

Beverley Owen (the original actress who played Marilyn for the first 13 episodes) died 6 months ago yesterday. May she R.I.P. Now the only remaining main cast members are Pat Priest (Owen's successor) and Butch Patrick (Eddie).

I love the Munsters! I use to watch this show every time I would go visit my grandma as a kid. I have such good memories with this show I can't help but smile when I hear the music 😊 When the song Uma Thurman came out and I heard it the first time. I was like holy shit it's the Munsters theme!!!!!

Don't think I've ever heard this with vocals before. A number of of TV themes had lyrics that we never heard, like "Fishin' Hole," from The Andy Griffith Show" and the theme from Bonanza. Somewhere out there is video of the original cast from Bonanza singing the song.

In 1983 Butch Patrick has his own band called Eddie and the Munsters and Butch Patrick recorded a novelty song called: "Whatever Happened to Eddie", he's the kid from Mockingbird Lane'

This is the original for the TV show. Yes they has some of the lyrics on the end credits, but not all episodes just a few rare ones when the TV show like the special episodes and the single final color season.
