I read this on a camping trip a few years ago and loved it! Doyle perfected detective fiction, but Holmes wouldn't exist without the influence of this story. Great breakdown as always, gentlemen! 👏 👏

I read this unsolved murder mystery by Louis L'Amour a while back. *Four Card Draw:* "Allen Ring won the Red Rock Ranch in a poker game. But a man was shot in the back there a couple of years back. The murder is still unsolved, but someone seems convinced that Allen Ring has the missing answer. Ross Bilton was one of the men who found the body, and now he’s the town marshal. Ring finds himself in the middle of a mysterious conflict-and maybe headed for a showdown with the marshal." This short story is more of a "howcatchem" rather than a traditional "whodunit", since it also incorporates elements of the Western genre, which is how the majority of conflicts are written for these stories. I strongly recommend that you guys should it in an episode of Codex Cantina, you'll end up loving it. It's quite a journey.

Thanks guys for a very fun review. Poes is one of my very favourite writings, because - like Vonnegut - he tells the dark side of humanity in a very fun and - at times - hillarious way. Really enjoyed it. Thanks for taking the time.
