The Murray Bridge BUNYIP South Australia 

The city of Murray Bridge holds a terrifying legend, that of the fierce Bunyip,
European settlers of the 1880's were told of this creature by Aboriginal people.
The Bunyip was said to live in creeks, rivers & swamps emerging at night to devour any human or animal prey that crossed its path.
It's terrifying cries rang out in the stillness of night, unnerving the lonely & isolated white settlers who wondered if they would meet a terrible death at the claws of this Australian monster.
