The Museum's first Prep Shed began on David Elliott's property in Winton, Queensland. For several years volunteers travelled there to prepare dinosaur fossils for display. This humble shed saw the preparation of Australia's most famous dinosaur holotype specimens "Australovenator wintonensis" and "Diamantinasaurus matildae".
