Well their 2nd and 3rd albums were mostly shite with a few towering singles, so I guess the 4th would have been the same. Nothing in their discography beats their first record.
i think there´s a terrible monster call: music industry" who destroyed good groups of musicians like "The music" because they not sing what the told, they sing for us... all the people who likes "the music".... ;).
No big enough streets to revenge Metal terrain won’t stop me You found peace intolerable You’re gonna burn this place to the ground For you, success comes at a high price For me, it is a journey I hate to be beaten, but how do you win When the opposition is yourself We get up, we get up, we make history We get up, we get up, we make history We get up, we get up, we make history We get up, we get up, we make history We get up, we get up, we make history We get up, we get up, we make history You know, the guilt keeps chipping away At what I have left of conscience I need you to tackle the pain Don’t let the weight of the world drag you down For most of us it’s physical I have not discovered The ways to be taken along some road 'Cause the opposition is myself We get up, we get up, we make history We get up, we get up, we make history We get up, we get up, we make history We get up, we get up, we make history We get up, we get up, we make history We get up, we get up, we make history
Great band, still listen regularly. I think their name killed them before they could ever get the big following they deserved. Searching for "the music tickets" or "the music album" just gives to many bad results. Glad to see their reunion gig for 2021
Time, the music, got put on the big stage again and show the world how good they were,,,,, 4 down to earth guys and had time for there fans and brilliant at making great music,,,,,,
@@pedrotam790514 Real. Huge one day festival at Temple Newsam with The Coral, The Cribs, The Skuts and The Skinner Brothers. First gig for 9 years. Google it. :)
It's sad that their time has come to an end. I first heard of them 6 years ago when I got a copy of Welcome to the North from a friend of mine and I fell in love with their music ever since.. Their music holds a lot of special memories for me... I'll keep listening to this stuff 'till the day I die.. Thanks for one last killer track!
From seeing you guys in Sydney in 2003 and 2005 and then at Reading in 2008, some awesome memories and we're still listening to your tunes. Maybe again in another lifetime.....
The shit name of the band along with the shit title for the first album sunk my favourite band from the start. I love every single song from the music but they are almost obscure and unpopular by choice.
one of the greatest moments of Ali, when he didnt land that punch on Foreman one of the greatest moments of The Music, when they composed this masterpiece....
For those who downloaded the single... I've done a couple of cd covers for it, almost the same concept and not pro, but hoping you like it They're here:: mediafire[dot]com/i/?aq9xc61gcamo0bm mediafire[dot]com/i/?fo1l2sorjxc7mxk Very sad tt's the end...
My favorite band of all time. I only really listen to these guys and Northeast Party House. Nobody but these guys seem to put out full great albums. Usually just a couple of singles and 8-10 fillers on most albums from people. Any suggestions of new great bands would be appreciated. Northeast Party House has that 80's sound and it seems the more you listen to them the better they get.
release the rest of them!! ahh well, at least i'll be able to see you before you're gone. RIP The Music, one of the most under rated bands to walk this earth going out with a bang!
I am very happy I found this group #themusic such great song! I really like the video too, it cheers you up in a strange way! #musicvideo #musicalldaylong
My favourite band of all time. Just had a moment watching this. Thanks for putting it up guys. Much appreciated. I won't be able to make the shows as I am in Australia but have fun!
LYRICS so far... help me out! No big enough streets *** revenge Metal terrain won't stop me You found peace intolerable You're gonna burn this place to the ground For you, success comes at a high price For me, it is a journey I hate to be beaten, but how do you win When the opposition is yourself We get up, we get up, we make history You know, the guilt keeps chipping away At what I have left of conscience I need you to tackle the pain Don't let the weight of the world drag you down

I still remember the Rolling Stone cover titled: "The Who... The End" Of course, the Who reunited many more times for more "farewell" tours... ya never know...I'm betting on the lads doing a reunion at some big event at Wembley, t in the Park, etc...Mark it Down - the guys will "Get up and make History!"
Robert harvey said he left the band because he wanted a new challenge with a new project. Im also hoping he didn't quit because of their obscurity with the public. Glad they were never hyped! And they're better than kasabian.
IM FROM DETRIOT MICHIGAN....AN ITS SAD THAT THE VERVE AND THE MUSIC ARE DONE....THESE 2 BANDS MADE VERY RARE KINDA DREAM MUSIC....THIS MUSIC HITS THE SPIRIT .............THIS MUSIC IS NOW VERY RARE.......NOT MANY BANDS HAVE THIS TYPE OF TALENT........
Damn sad its coming to an end, good lads, great music, and what a tune as a send off! Have hopes of heading over to Tokyo too if i can get tickets on Monday. Wish I could be there for the finale in the UK, always a great gig and great memories
My thoughts exactly, not sure who I'd have to petition or send this to to get this done, I might just email this to someone who works at NBC since they'll likely cover the Olympics.
Thanks for the memories. One of the best nights ever when me and the Mrs went to The Blank Canvas gig. Bridlington was amazing to. Who supported? Kings of Leon. Unbelievable. Quality tune to end it on. All the best for the future lads and looking forward to the London gig.
What a unique band! I was about to finally see them here last year in Argentina but they cancelled...hope some day they'll come back, I'll be waiting...saving my energies...!
It's a real shame that I discovered this band after they broke up - fantastic music by a great band. Good luck on your farewell tour next month, guys... Long live The Music!
I remember first hearing Take the Long Road and Walk It, and then that was it -- no more Avril Lavigne, no more Christina Aguilera, no more stupid Good Charlotte tunes or emo music for me. Pivotal band in every fan's life, I'm sure.
I am so thankful I got to see these guys live. Had never even heard of them before I seen them but they were awesome live, I'm disappointed to hear they are breaking up, that sucks
My favourite band of all time. Just had a moment watching this. Thanks for putting it up guys. Much appreciated. I won't be able to make the shows as I am in Australia but have fun!
I'm glad they decided to finish this up and put it out. It's been so enjoyable following the band and I'll be supporting them to the end. At least three more times in August!
