He will always be a part of the pinoy culture gone too soon, but always wanting to be back.... if only we could fly back in time... will be it this capsulized time... Easy.... So much Easy.... Think forever easy! Sorry! But life is not like that hahahhh!
It's great that Eddie Peregrina got all the lyrics right! He must've read the lyrics straight out of Matt Monroe's scoresheet. Unlike Nora Aunor's version where "sounds like" words were used with the singer not really knowing or understanding what she was saying.
Nora recorded it in 1968 and she was just 14, yet she nailed it. She sounds matured though she's not that good yet in pronouncing English. As Timi Yuro said, Nora has the best rendition of this song.
"The music played" An angry silence lay where love has been And in your eyes a look I'd never seen If I had found the words you might have stayed But as I turned to speak, the music played As lovers danced their way around the floor I sat and watched you walk towards the door I heard a friend of yours suggest to stayed And as you took his hand, the music played Across the darkened room the fatal signs I saw We'd been something more than friends before While I was hurting you by clinging to my pride He had been waiting and I drove him to your side I could have said the things I should have said Refused to let my heart control my head But I was made to see the parts I played And as he held you close, the music played And as I lost your love, the music played.
